  1. alright spent a bit on the troop hog. pretty simple design, the cage that is. wasnt sure what the 2 boxes attached to the back area was until i finished the model... turns out they are fuel cans... well my model has ammo cans attached to the back... no biggie imo, thoughts? in halo only 3 dudes fit in the back, i wanna see about getting 4-5 in the back though, will figure it out. more the better imo, hell its a troop carrier!

    Looking good and the ones in H3 could carry 4-5 it was just a very rare occasion to get 4-5 marines to survive and get in.


  2. Cancelled project. This project is cancelled due to the lack of the arma tools cooperating with me... Maybe I am a noob, maybe I am not... Dunno, I been 3D modeling for years and such and the tools that we have at our hands, are just blah. With no documentation at all, things just cannot be done. If someone would like to pick up the slack on this mod... Let me know, I will gladly handover my assets to you.

    With the Arma tools it's always a losing battle sad to see this cancelled.


  3. Is that supply drop pod going to have an inventory with more weapons or is it only going to have like one weapon(the one in slot you can see)?

    Also they are dropped in clusters (often from pelicans) so can each pod had a weapon class, like the rifle pod, ammo pod, heavy weapons pod and support pod?

    This will be dropped from pelican and I do desire to make it to were it drops one specific weapon with maybe 3-4 mags along side it. (Depends on weapon)


  4. I think the elephant is absolutely necessary. It is supposedly used as a mobile command center, troop transport, and search and recovery. In halo it is useless because (from what I have gathered from limited console play) it isn't a format to allow a real chain of command or strategy. In arma, however, it could be used for its "intended" purpose along with a repair support vehicle. This could also be amphibious and used like military hovercraft.

    I myself seem the same way as I intend we will try and push for the Elephant. This has not been yet talked about but in are next group meeting we will discuss the Elephant.


  5. Hey Guys, I've been following this thread for some while. However, I wanted to know what sounds you will use for the weapons, since the sounds of the original HALO titles are not really fit for ArmA.

    So I will respond to this with the best I can for as I know we will be using for the 7.62 Rifiles the 7.62 Rifle Sound effects basically just ripping the gun sounds from the same Caliber weapon this is what I KNOW OF! But that seems like the most logical thing to do for now but if I can get in Contact with Lord Jarhead we could possibly get some custom ones other then the base weapons. This is just from what I know no quoting allowed :)

    Main Operation every week on Saturday at 8PM EST.

  7. Thanks Scorch and good looking screens, I have a question will you add special characters from the game and make a female variant?

    So here is the Answer to this we don't have planned on using real in-game character names yet. We do have planned however having all the Developers names will be used under the Infantry (Story) Tab and you will see all the Developers making a show up in the Campaign as for let's say Romeo from ODST we only have planned his helmet. Also here is a small hint to the campaign (126)


  8. So Basically AtinAkiri is getting at here is being Lore Friendly is awesome so is having facking Hornets and Falcons are too.

    I'd say the Falcon better fits the time frame, though I don't know how far back the Hornets go.

    I'm working on some custom logos for the shoulder/chest armor. It's all WIP so any suggestions or comments are thanked. . . So thanks :)

    Also note that all the scrates/the logo it's self with sort of be overlayed onto the shoulder, so it will look a lot more like it's painted on rather than just being flat.

    well a edit to this is the Hornet was produced in 2424 so yes it does fit into the time frame

    Speaking of aircraft. Is there any plans for others than the pelican? Potentially a mighty falcon return? In addition, if so, will there be any custom animation work or nah?

    Well to respond to this yes their is we have planned a Hornet the Falcon is a Maybe but I see no reason why we couldn't. We have a great team who can bend ArmA to it's limits.
