...What???? That is a briliant idea. I would only add or suggest that it not be to repetitious. The banging effect would be quite nerve racking especially if it was limited to occur when the wind speed reached a particlar point, say for example, +25mph. How that might be calculated in Arma is only for the mod magicians minds to comprehend. Maybe LJ could help here. Speaking of wind, how about little random dust squals bouncing along now and then with the same wind factor? tpw,...your in it up to your neck now. Do you have Ambient combat on? If not I have a question. I am testing a mission and I hear distant artillary but I do NOT have AC on. What could causing that, in my case?

Question: I am editing the Stratis mission. The objectives are labeled with a ? mark and I can get the coordinates from the map,.....but, when I go into the EDEN editor the coordinates are in meters. At present there are only about 5 or 6 objectives that have a structure on that spot. I am wanting to place more structures on the rest of the ? marks just to add to the realism. How can I cross reference the two maps or pinpoint where the objects should go? I'm also adding a couple of other surprises just to make it interesting. Never mind I found a way.

I thought I understood in an earlier post that "templates" (can't seem to find it right now) would/could be used to enable personal variations. Is that correct, and if so would a "old" or "original" version be available? I might like the new version ok but I am still in awe of how Arma looks right now,...and thus might prefer to leave mine as is. There are screenshots and videos aplenty that show some things improving while other things seem to look worse. The water seems to get much better, same for the sky/clouds. The buildings however seem very odd now, no warmth and much less depth in shadow. The latter is a bit hard to describe but they seem "washed out". Earlier posts referred to the look as cold. I would also add that there seems to be to much blue. I'm all for making Arma look bettter and think that this endeavor will help but I want to suggest, if possible, we could have a UI to make adjustments. I have used the following, Sweetfx Configurator ,with great success. I don't want to seem like I'm wanting to go backwards but rather maybe put an idea out there. With this configurator you can create templates so that the scene can be changed "in game" to best display the seasons or even change the way Arma looks at night. @ michael_ek That lag you are experiencing is Vcom_AI. Go in to the Editor and climb up into one of the guard towers and open/close the hatch. You'll see what I mean. I hope he keeps working on his (Vcom_AI) mod. Should be one of the best if he gets the kinks out. -

I'm into my second day and have only been able to kill 9 folks of which only 2 had a weapon. That's sort of a complaint but only a teensy weensy bit. Those few enemy does balance game with the fact that it takes quite an effort just to find enough food and water to survive. One thing O would really like to see more of is bandits driving around more frequently. I seem to pick up quite a collection of mines but never get to use them. As was stated earlier though, adding more action on a map wide mission like this will probably kill it fps wise. edit: I would like to make just a couple more observations. 1) shortly after beginning the mission I was able to recruit a couple of survivors. After a while I was able to equip them with weapons, gear, and a few misc items. I don't know what or when during the mission, but now I cannot transfer anything to them. When I go to "Esc", "Team", and then "Inventory", I can see what they are carrying, but I can no longer give them anything. I can take stuff from them, but it won't show as being on the "ground". 2) When I want to build a fire I used some documents I found and matches. I was able to start a fire but only the heat shimmer was visible. No wood/paper/flame, or smoke. I did notice also that the first time I tried to startt a fire I used a notepad with matches. The notifier told me I need wood or paper. My question is, where do I find wood. I have never seen any in the search piles/sacks/boxes. 3) When my comrades spot enemy, the notifier tells me for example, "enemy bearing 105, 1.5kms", when in actuallity the enemy is really only 200m away. It seems the direction is accurate but the distance can be quite far off.

Long shot Does CUP add other factions and if so maybe the script in Pilgrimage doesn't recognise them but TPW does ? Just an oddball theory.

1) Are you guys getting corrupt save on any/all maps or just specific ones. I haven't had a single issue with saves,.....on Altis. 2) Hud showing invisible AI. I don't use the hud anymore but could that be an issue with TPW?

moving/renaming/porting/copying, what ever you try to do short of a clean reinstall, usually ends up with problems sooner or later. I can see why some might do it with something like a flight simulator which can take days to install but Arma is quite painless really. Another tip is to group all of your mods onto another drive (apart from Windows) so all you have to do is re-point your launcher to them.

You know another mod that you can use to get by enemy is called Incognito by Rydygier. What's cool is, if you are spotted (comprimised) you will get a messsage on the screen saying "you have been exposed". Can make the hair on your neck tingle ! http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=27496

@ thecoolsideofthepillow Spawning is random as you are probably aware but if you are being hounded by bandits "every" time, I don't know what to tell you. Just run like hell I suppose. I have spawned completely alone, AND with bandits showing up shortly afterward. I've spawned in the woods and near towns, just luck of the draw. Ammo that you can use at spawn, again, I think it's random. I can't recall ever having ammo I could use until I found it along the way. Stay frosty Sergeant !!! :16_6_8:

When you extract TPW you will find a userconfig folder. Inside that you will find a TPW_MODS folder. Copy that folder in its entirety to your ARMA 3 userconfig folder. (if you have never installed mods into ARMA you will have to create a "userconfig" folder in the root of ARMA.)- 5767 replies

I'm getting this also but only if my weapon is holstered/packed away. I'll be walking/jogging/running along and when I stop I flop to the ground, not always but often. Never happens when I'm armed, (weapon in my hands)
