Some new WIP for our Safariland holster. Will have many colors/patterns for it, covered and non-covered versions, and mounted at the hip or dropleg (as well as other possible positions depending on the loadout).

Finally! A holster that isnt sitting on the knee!

Couldn't resist, had to play around with the NVG's even though they're unfinished:

Jesus those looks so great already.  Only suggestion I have would be to bring the holster up higher.   The lower it sits IRL, the more it tends to want to flop around on ya while running.  Sucks lol.  But artistic license is always a great thing about it being your mod :f:

Im incredibly excited for when it all drops!

  3. Center of the chest is good, having it attached in traditional areas is better.  Maybe compromise and have the holster be belt attached with the PACA model and when the chest rig is the backpack it wont have the risk of not having the holstered pistol? (If that makes sense)

  4. I wouldnt really bother to be honest, its not too big a difference and stands out from the millions of other opscore helmets already in mod circulation.  The already existing one also has the benefit of fitting multiple head shapes like BIS standard and Zee's narrower ones

This is something we are actively adjusting and working on. Whilst it’s nice to have discernible sounds for m4/m16s we’re trying our best to bring sounds to a more realistic level (The best we can do as a modding team). It’s true there is a sound difference between barrel lengths; 20” m16, 14.5” M4, 10” MK1 and so. A study showcased that there’s roughly a 0.5dB(A) increase per 4” shortage [1]. This difference may be noticeable for the rifleman but for those 20m and beyond it quickly becomes nearly inaudible. The intensity of decibel change is equally effected by the ammunition you are firing. This study was using M855, which out of an M4 barrel was unable to effectively burn all its powder resulting in a brighter flash and a louder bang. Our standard ammo in USAF is M855A1 for U.S Army and M855 for U.S Marines (Until they finally fully adopt M855A1 sometime in the next year?[2]).  From what I’ve been told by people who’ve used it, the M4 full auto and the M249 firing M855A1 are extremely difficult to discern during a firefight which to me makes the most sense. The operator will notice more differences in sound, like how the weapon is operated (open bolt/closed), barrel length, sounds resonating on different parts of the weapon etc. However, as you get further away they start to blend together and produce the same 'pop'. These are things we’re trying our best to replicate but this requires lots of tweaking and feedback from you guys.

Keep an eye out for future updates on the sounds of our 5.56 weapons.

THIS.  I was waiting for yall to talk about this.  I kinda figured itd be coming down the pipeline eventually and just twiddle my thumbs patiently.  So now that I know its incoming someday maybe, I am excite

  6. The thing with the drop holsters is that there is also many many folk who wear it wrong.  You can find many refs of it being improper ie: mid thigh or top of the knee.  This allows the firearm to flop around with the holster smackin your nuts when your run.

Like this is the proper way, but how it will work with animating, uniform clipping etc is beyond my wheelhouse.

Yep that. It was a revision that was made to the Export models around 2006-07 in response to feedback they were getting on the XM8. As far as I can gather, that and ditching the integrated optic are largely what brought about the switch from the E to the V.

I do believe you forgot to add the loss of accuracy to the gun after a few mags due to overheating....

I kid, loving the pack and cant wait to see what you crank out next!

Yeah, there's a small problem with the Steam update though:

    SAF has annexed GREF

Please be patient while we try to correct the upload. But if you haven't subscribed to SAF before, maybe give it a go and enjoy ;)

The GREF download is working as intended, excellent and quick work!  Thanks again guys and the Vz58s are gorgeous!

i dont know, but i dont see much content for the infantry, the US is missing SPCS variants, not much of a choice for backpacks still. it just seems a bit barren to me

I can't believe you're complaining that the update didn't go according to your wishes.  It blows my mind.  These guys do this in the SPARE time for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Choke yourself out dude.  When you wake up, google the word "thankful" and retry.

Anyone know if the white paint on the engraved EKP-8-02 text is a US-import thing? Some references have it, some don't.

I believe it's hit or miss on if it has white pain for not. I've seen them both ways stateside so I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it's the same in Russia

  11. The animations are looking amazing as always Toadie.  Im super stoked about the visible magazine switches, does it allow for the old mag and new mag to be both visible or is that still limited?  And on the classic sig pistol series, I'm loving the reloads as well.  Did you explore a way to animate the hammer properly? As in say starting DA and going to single? Or again, a limit to Arma?

I cant wait to get my mits on these, keep up the great work!

Hello. My group is considering this addon for their repository. Two things that we noticed:

    1. The MLI variants have no cartridge ejection animation.

    2. The Beta-C mag for the MG36 only has 30 rounds instead of the intended 150 rounds. Vice versa, when I equip the Beta-C mag in a regular G36, it is shown as a 30 rounds mag (it visually loads a regular mag into the rifle) but actually has 150 rounds in it.

    Are these known problems?

The MLI Toadie did as a 6.5 caseless ammo like the vanilla guns to fit in with vanilla arma and the magazine thing is a limitation on the arma engine, something about magazine proxies iirc. Someone smarter than I will provide the technical answer why shortly I'm sure

  13. From what I understand the new muzzle device is a modular hybrid between the 74 styled brake, the 100 series booster and flash hider. Pretty interesting how Russia is modernizing the AK.

And I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers the Facebook post y'all put up regarding communication between zenitco and yourselves. I'm greatly anticipating the result of that!
