Forget DCS: Apache, if you don't already know about it (which i'm guessing you do, but here it is anyway), take a look at this. *drool* http://www.combat-helo.co.uk/news.html -
Unit's spawning gear/weapons/items init scripting
Merkury713 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi there. I want to get rid of the NATO Helo pilot's clothes and gear and give him a custom set of gear, weapons, and items for a mission. The goal is to alter his appearance and functionality with the new items he would have. Here are the items I would give him to replace the default clothes/gear Worker's coveralls Tactical Vest Black Bergen Black ECH light Tactical Glasses Black NV goggles Binoculars PDW2000 2 mags 3 blue smoke, 2 blue chemlight 3 FAKs in Bergen, 1 repair kit and 1 satchel charge radio, map, gps, compass, watch I would like to know if it is possible to give him this, and how. If you dont want to type it all out, then the format with maybe one example would probably do the trick, I can probably find classnames for this stuff myself, but if you are up to it, do whatever you want. Any help is appreciated. Thanks -
32x32km Real Life Map Project: call for inspiration and aid
Merkury713 replied to ZeroG's topic in ARMA 3 - TERRAIN - (BUILDER)
I know that many flight sim games like EECH or Falcon 4 have developed on the idea of a "cold war gone hot" scenario in the korean peninsula. I think either a terrain based on a part of seoul and its surrounding countryside or a part of the DMZ, maybe next to the western gulf would be interesting. Don't know about high res images, but i am sure if south korea it wouldnt be too much of a problem. Also, the korean landscape would be very interesting as it is very mountainous, forested, and would make a lot of sense for a near future confict zone. Hell, you could even do an area in afghanistan, I know i'm not ready to fully say goodbye to desert landscapes. Takistan was my favorite, and I think a massive 32x32 km deset area with mountains, villages, and the like would be fun as hell. Other places include israel/surrounding area, south america, or you could even do a section of the US rocky mountains/nevada area, and claim the setting as middle east or something. Just some ideas, good luck and i hope to see good things -
To the people saying cor 1: 75%, core 2; 25%, and only getting like 25 fps, has anyone ever tried individual CPU core clocking? Core 1 is higher than core 2 which is higher than core 3 etc. You can get your beginning cores to get a lot higher likee 5 ghz etc, and then it goes down over your other cores.

Is there a way to equip this thing with flares? Mostly for show purposes, but I noticed on the HUD there is a counter for flares and chaff. Also, does anyone know how to fix the chaff launcher for the Arma 3 port over of this? -
So, for individual core clocking for AMD processers, does anyone have any good advice or guides on that? Any experience in it? Because that would probably be a big step to fixing lag. Like if you are using a six core processor, clock core 1 to like 6 ghz, core 2 to like 5 something, 4 to lower, 3 to 4 something, 2 and 1 to like 4.0 ghz. Everyone with high end systems if you are using an AMD processor, you are screwed. 8350s are the worst, they probably perform just aas well as a 6100 or something. if you are using intel OC your cpu, but get cooling too.
