  1. if you understand how targets are identified by the human eye it make perfect sense, a low crawl generates the least amount of noise. People have a very recognizable outline when standing up, and when lying down this outline is basically not in play. it might behoove you to look at some military sniper and infantry manuals. They teach in very simple terms how to identify targets and camoflauge ones self. try googllng us army sniper manual or us army infantry manual.
  2. FAB, I've been playing more ARMA 3 with your mod than I've ever played ARMA/OFP before. It's teaching me infantry tactics by hard knocks. When i'm in a place an I have this feeling.... "shit i shouldn't be (standing) here" I end up dying withing a few seconds. If i adhere to military doctrine the game amazing and just keeps teaching me better and better tactics. In short your mod has made ARMA into a simulator. I own VBS 2 and it comes nowhere close to what your mod has managed. I'm simply astounded 10+ years of ARMA/OFP experience and I've never met a mod its equal. Thanks for letting me be a beta tester and congrats! Mod assortment i've been blown over by: bcombat speed of sound blastcore bullet_hits_value
  3. i use this every time i play it make the game some much more useable! works great!

VBS2/3 Discussion thread - the one and only

Yes is has potential and there are some features that are wonderful -- the 3d editor, RTE. But, there isn't a gaming community behind it that will provide the mods for free to exploit even a small part of that potential. Oh you wanna adjust windage on a sniper scope in VBS, How's about fire control for that chopper or tank, well you'd better learn how to program etc etc. For anyone who doesn't have a small army of programmers, very deep pockets or is in the military, ARMA2 with ACE/ACRE is a significantly more realistic simulator than any private party could dream of creating in VBS2.
  5. Interesting idea for a contest, but in these days of licensing I decided to dig a bit deeper and found this: By completing and confirming the registration the Participant: Irrevocably and unconditionally grants to Organizer, on a royalty-free and non-exclusive basis, a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, assignable, sublicensable, worldwide license to run, use, copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, perform, display, exhibit, demonstrate, edit, modify, adapt, and create derivative works from, each of his/her entries in this Contest, whether for purposes related to this Contest or otherwise, and whether via the Internet, electronic, digital, broadcast, theatrical, print, or any other communications media now known or hereafter developed, and in each case free of any and all restrictions and limitations whatsoever (except as imposed by law). I'm guessing this is going to stifle development. How about we just apply this to the winners?

[WIP] bCombat infantry AI Mod [SP]

Fab- I noticed on your videos that you seem to be using the arma keyed command system. Might I suggest articulate.... It makes the game oh so much more immersive and intuitive. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22940

Have been waiting a while for Alive to come out super excited to combine these two. Do you have any missions you'd be willing to share, or maybe play some coop?

[WIP] bCombat infantry AI Mod [SP]

Fabrizio- I've been browsing the forums a long time, and I finally had to make an account as I was thoroughly impressed with your work. It is possible you would accept another beta tester? I typically play SP, can program on an amateur level, and have many years experience with the series; all the way back to Everon. Cheers
