  1. Maybe you could just switch to combat stance by pressing C (for A3 control scheme) or Y (for A2 control scheme)? I know it reduces speed but ArmA is not Battlefield or any other FPS game. So you will somewhat get that "weapon always pointed at the enemy while walking" thing, but it won't be like that while sprinting. Roadkill, my FOV is 90 (Standart is 75) but the gun really isn't that visible while sprinting still. I hate to say "real life", but it's not practical running with a rifle on your face in real life too, and ArmA represents that more than Battlefield. Also asking a question about movement with static pictures is not really the vest way, probably why Harzach gave that answer.
  2. Yeah same thing goes for other other things like "L_Twitch" where you'll get a earthquake level shake while crew-served mortars fire by you, just because they're firing 82mm HE shells. Most of the small LAxemann addons use simple fired event handlers and don't have those exceptions for the weird stuff yet, but I'm sure he's working on it. Feel like the whole collection of these small mods will be in my mod folder when finished.

    Oxmox totally ninjad me, my answer is to the below post's first paragraph. Let's not forget PKK is (or was) a terrorist organization that Turkey had to deal with since the 80s, way before rest of the world got introduced to this kind of Islamic terrorism. I don't want to sound like I agree with RTE in anything, never will I ever want to agree with him in anything, though PKK is fighting IS obviously for their own survival. Can't blame them, but that doesn't mean they're fighting for the good of humanity all of a sudden.

  9. Hey Boydee that code was a little bit broken and I haven't explained how to use functions in mission and stuff. There is an example mission in the original post now, and if you want to know more, here is some reading material.

  11. Allright, so I'm pretty sure I've overdid myself with this. Here are 3 functions that does exactly what you want, and it's sooo pretty! They even have a little bit of configurability. I know it's changeable because I used this and will keep on using it after this point :cool:.   12. No one is ignoring no one. They're fixing things up with every single update. What kind of question is that? How do you know how to post here? They can learn it. If you weren't too busy throwing mud at everything BI does, you'd notice they have a pretty solid, one of it's kind feedback tracker. You'll probably find your problem already there. Not that you're asking anything (!), but I'm pretty sure you got your answers.

    Why whouldn't it be? AFAIK only thing AGM does with vehicles is giving them their real name just like this mod anyway, there shouldn't be any problems if you just use Phoenix's new vehicles.
  14. It doesn't rely on other people, really ironic how you say that. You are trying (and miserably failing) to play a user made mission, which is the same with "being dependent on other people". Only in this case you chose to be dependent on people. Even worse, I checked that missions and it requires like 5 different addons... Did you install those? Because god forbid the User ever has to copy files right? Bill Gates should come to your home and do it for you since you bought an OS, not a copy software.
  15. Nobody said Crysis 3 yet? The first one was amazingly good, way ahead of it's time. Specially with the Turkish voices and developers it was hyped all around here in Turkey. Then Crysis 2 happened and the "EA Effect" came in. See what I did there? Effect? Mass Effect? That damn kid... Ugh so yeah second one was still a good game, had some originality left in to it even though Crytek scrapped the make-your-choices feeling out of it. Crysis 3 was same with Crysis 2, story got really mainstream and honestly without psycho I whouldn't have finished it. Maps and visuals only had more green than gray. Multiplayer was empty and unoriginal, can't even remembers most maps or game modes, nothing memorable, or not really an environment I want to go back to. No wonder it's getting all the price cuts and sales now.
  16. I'm not a fan of the workarounds or constant problems either. I offered you a solution for a problem even when you didn't ask for a solution, and was just complaining with that "BI fix it pls" behavior, then I went aggressive because every 1/5 of the new threads are complaints, and when you offer a solution everyone goes "But we shouldn't have to do that". After a point it gets irritating. Semiconductor made a well point. I don't know what you and your friends are thinking about the 60MB mission, but I can assure you it's not going to be worth it. The far-most-extreme-limit of a mission size ever should be single digit.
  17. Nope. Not the cached missions, the original one steam downloads. There is a bit of difference such as: Don't need to access a hidden folder using "run". It's just copy file from folder A to B. Non clued up? More like too much of an asshole. Instead of making this stupid thread, he could go copy the mission... I also agree Steam Workshop integration is really bad, but there is a simple solution for that. I never the use the workshop, and problem is solved. Not like I'm missing any high quality content, all of that is either here, in ArmAHolic, or in Play With Six. Definitely not in Steam Workshop though. I mean generally the Workshop is a great concept which I use for any game except ArmA 3. It's just too sloppy to use. You know it's going to be broken when you use it, it's like going to Chernobyl and complaining to Ukraine about the radiation, then blaming the Russians.
  18. I don't really see why that mission is 60MBs, probably filled with unnecessary "cool HD textures". Whatever, you don't have to do that if you all put the mission in your "MPMissions" folder, so nobody has to download a mission they already have, BI has that feature in since ArmA 2, and probably had it even before. The "MPMissions" folder is located in ArmA 3's core folder, you can't miss it. First you'll have to find where Steam downloads those mission .pbos, and than copy that in to the MPMission folder. So go ahead and change it yourself for once!

  21. For your #2, you could just use setName, but if that doesn't work setIdentity should do it. EDIT: Actually my method will probably make it something like AI: Your Name. Don't know how to change the whole string.

  24. I can see why you have all these security measurements with all the idiots on their Life Servers. I had a bad experience of getting my work stolen by [iNSERT COMMUNITY HERE], know the feeling. My question is can you at least remove the rule of "You can't resign it". Obviously only if you're contacted the right way. As someone who uses around 20 mods on a public server, I know I'm never using any external signatures except CBA. That is the security measurement of all the big servers. Having one key to sign them all. Just consider that.
