    Niko's Uniforms Mega Packs

    The M81 looks excellent now, amazing work. Would you ever consider adding a variant of each uniform that would have the flag on it? The only reason I ask, is at the moment, all the other patch areas are blank and even after adding your own insignia to the uniform, it almost still seems 'naked'. Hell, I personally feel if you filled up all the patch areas of the uniform except the insignia area, would make it all come together very nicely when players add their own patch to it. Especially since we have no way of adding anything to any of those areas, so they're just blank canvas, and the independent uniforms in particular are laid out perfectly for this. It's no big deal, the uniforms are great either way, just thought it might add even a little more detail to these masterpieces. ;)
  2. Amazing work as always, RichardsD, you are bringing so much great content to A3. Can't wait to test these out. Thanks for the release. :cool:

    US Army A3

    I respect your position to stick with whatever you wish, as it is your addon afterall. But I personally feel, with the current camo schemes you are using, that this represents any other faction BUT Army. The point I believe Modder was trying to point out, was not that BDU or DCU would be more recent, but that they are still widely seen used by Special Operations forces, including those of the Army...regardless of how old they are. Granted, this may not be the look you want for infantry-based forces, but if that's the case why not switch over to (the much hated) ACU or Multicam Patterns? Navy AOR or MARPAT camo's are meant for Navy and Marines...not sure why you would want this for Army forces. If this is just an issue of personal preference, then have at it, as there is no right/wrong choice. But if you are truly wanting to depict Army forces in an accurate way, I don't believe AOR or MARPAT would be anywhere in the uniform selection. Once again, this is only my opinion and don't mean for it to be taken harshly. Also, if you are still having trouble with the vehicle classes in the config, shoot me a message and I'll help you get it sorted.

    Niko's Uniforms Mega Packs

    Thanks for the release, Niko, the uniforms look excellent. Very nice selection and quality. The only uniform camo that I felt was a bit off, was the M81 Woodland...which seemed to have a little too much pink/red in it, making the camo turn out extremely dark looking. But then again, that is only my opinion and may have been done that way for a reason. Overall, great addon and will be awesome to see more countries uniforms in development. ;) BTW, were you planning on doing the Air Force ABU uniforms as well?

    US Army A3

    Great units and thanks for the release. I have always been a big fan of Craig's uniforms, so it's a pleasure to see someone incorporate them into an addon. I think the Navy camo's look great, but as stated they are Navy, and I feel are a bit out of place for U.S. Army inspired units (especially with the Navy patch on their arm :p). I think a more suiting desert and woodland camo for U.S. Army units would be standard woodland and Tri-Color Desert BDU's, as these can still be commonly seen within the Army's special operations community. Once again, no big deal what-so-ever, love the units either way and figured I would chip in my two-cent.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

    Just wanted to drop-in and report that everything seems to be working great after the v1.0.6.3 fix. Tested in SP and no freezes or crashes at mission startups. Using latest A3 v1.20 and newest version of CBA released. Many thanks for this, was sorely missing using this mod. ;)

    M1A1 MBT A2 Port

    Quick question. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you be willing to make a desert M1A1 (identical to the ADF Tan one currently included), but simply without the ADF marking on the side? Or is there some way to remove that emblem in-game that I don't know about?

    M1A1 MBT A2 Port

    Excellent work, I can't stress enough how long I have been waiting for this vehicle to be released/ported. Thank you so much. Now, I feel my wishlist is almost complete, just waiting on the arrival of the Bradley and Strykers...and an M1A2. Simply amazing, I guess it's time to start readjusting some missions. ;)
  9. I absolutely love this mod. Even being a hardcore Milsim fan, I found much enjoyment in battling with or against these mechs...made for quite interesting battles. I do agree with some of the above posters about upgrading the armor on these mechs, as it does seem they can be knocked out pretty fast when going up against tanks or AT weapons. I don't want them to be invincible, just feel they should take more than a single AT blast before being put out of commission. Regardless, this is one sci-fi mod that has me hooked. Another alternate option you could add for the Wanzers, is the ability to 'Dash', maybe as an action where they could quickly speed-boost from side to side, forward or backward. This would make them more mobile and possibly even more likely to dodge critical attacks that would have otherwise destroyed them. And personally, I don't think it would be that bad to move away from walking animations in favor of the 'skating' movement that was seen in FME. This would require a bit less work in terms of animations, and would make the Wanzers more agile in the process...just a thought anyhow. Also, if there could be an action to plant your shield down infront of you, would be extremely helpful, as you could then block heavy swarms of incoming attacks...that is if the shield could be made invulnerable, separate from the body. 'Block, Dash, Destroy' Loving this addition to the Armaverse, and looking forward to seeing this Mod evolve. These fit perfectly with BI's 'future Arma'. Just dreaming, but maybe the next big Mech addition to the game could be something reminiscent of Titanfall. :p Thanks again for all your work and the release.
  10. Just wanted to say, Great map and thanks for the release. This is by far one of my favorite maps to play on, even with it being slightly incomplete. I understand alot of people are having troubles with the requirements (such as A3MP), but I feel these things will be a necessity for new maps with A2 objects until compatibility issues are panned out. In my opinion, A3MP is much more reliable than AiA and seems like it's the direction most ArmA players are moving towards. In progress of creating a nice little campaign on this map, so look forward to seeing future work and updates on this project. Thanks again for all your excellent work.

    Awesome mod and thanks for the release. Some really great quality work your putting out, can't wait to see what's next. ;)

    United States Air Force

    Okay, did some testing, and these are some of the minor errors that I came across. But all in all, each aircraft performed fine. I didn't have any troubles with the landing gear, aircraft tilting back, or troubles with AI piloting aircraft as others have mentioned before me. Also, all tests were done using vanilla game with only Massi's Weapons Pack and current stable version. AC-130U Spooky II Error: Cannot Load Texture: ca\air_e\c130j\data\c130j_body_ti_ca.paa Reproduce: 1st time placing empty AC-130 in editor, then launch. Error pops up upon first loading. Only occurs once until game is restarted. Error: Resource title Default not found Reproduce: Place empty AC-130 in editor, then launch. Error pops up upon first loading, then is reproduced each time you restart mission. B-1B Lancer: Error: Cannot Load Texture: js_jc_fa18\data\fa18_misc_nohq.paa Reproduce: Place empty B-1B in editor, then launch. Error pops up upon first loading. Only occurs once until game is restarted. *This error is produced from a dependency on JS FA18, which after activated, will no longer produce the error at all. Furthermore, I included a few screenshots to show a couple texture issues in-game on the AC-130. Guessing it has something to do with the error mentioned above. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af59/XxSiegeAxX/arma32014-04-2613-26-21-64_zps163ea8c5.jpg http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af59/XxSiegeAxX/arma32014-04-2613-26-52-98_zps704cd288.jpg http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af59/XxSiegeAxX/arma32014-04-2613-26-41-17_zpsd88fc989.jpg

    I personally don't see a problem with using Massi's Weapons Pack, as I feel there are actually more players that use it than don't. If you are using any of Massi's units (which just judging off of missions released on Armaholic, is the most commonly used) then you are also using his weapons pack. But hell, what's the problem with downloading an extra weapons pack to add to your game even if you don't intend to use it? I have downloaded nearly every weapons pack available, and have quite an arsenal to choose from in-game...with no conflicts. In any case, I will agree that RH Weapons packs would be a better choice, as I feel ANYTHING by Robert Hammer is of great quality and good solid weapons. Either way, I think players could accommodate to requirements for the mod, as they would any other. Just know, there are still plenty of us out here that still use Massi's units/weapons. Excellent mod and I thank you for this release. It makes the game a ton better having a nice inventory of aircraft to choose from and interact with. I will make sure to report any new findings which haven't been mentioned yet, and greatly anticipating future releases for this mod. Thanks again.

    LIFTER for ArmA 3

    Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for this amazing work, Raven. These features feel extremely well-presented and represent core features that Arma was missing. The fast-roping is outstanding, and I can't thank you enough for making this an actual reality in the game. Simply said, great work. Looking forward to whatever else you may have planned for the armaverse.

    BLUFOR IFV-Mora retexture

    My apologies, I accidentally asked about the wrong vehicle (I blame it on BI)...I had meant to ask you if you may be planning a retexture of the AFV-4 Gorgon, which is the APC for the AAF. The Gorgon would be a close representation of a Stryker IFV. Sorry for the confusion.

    SC Custom Faces

    Thanks for this release, Scorch, very nice to finally start seeing some custom faces added to the selection. Also, I have a request for you if your interested...will send you a PM. BTW, the faces look great.

    BLUFOR IFV-Mora retexture

    Very nice work, and thanks again for the release. I don't too much mind the green hinges, I actually think it gives the vehicle a little character rather than being all one solid color (which can be rather bland sometimes). Now if I can just figure out what addon I'm using that is making the vehicle slide across the ground when its stationary, then I'd be in business. Thanks for your hard work. Any chance there could be a retextured Patria APC next in the planning?
  18. Yes, you are correct, A3MP-AP is just a way to run some extra 3rd Party maps alongside those included with A3MP, but it does NOT provide those maps for you, you have to download the maps and requirements yourself. If you read my post just a few above yours, I try to explain a bit how it works.

    @A3MP - ArmA 3 Map Pack

    That's strange, because the link still works for me. Once you click the download button, you just wait until the loading completes and won't see it indicated in your downloads until it is fully finished.

    BLUFOR IFV-Marid retexture

    Thank you for both of the releases so far, very nice replacements to have for now until we see new models/ports. I also agree with several of the other comments, the 'AFV-4 Gorgon' under independent would be a nice retex placeholder of a Stryker IFV, and the 'FV-720 Mora' under independent as a retex placeholder of a Bradley. Great work and hope to see more.
  21. Siege-A

    BLUFOR MBT-Kuma retexture

    That would be a great idea, as then we could use this awesome tank for more than just desert operations.
  22. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend. A3MP-AP is meant to make certain A2 maps functional in A3. It doesn't provide you with the maps, or the addons needed for those maps, it simply adds A3 effects/lighting/fixes for the maps to work without tons of visual errors. FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) is a map designed and released for A2. In order to use any of these maps, or the fixes contained within A3MP-AP, you must first download the A2 map that it corresponds with, as well as the required addons for the map. If you have no intention of using any of the maps listed for this addon, or only certain ones, then remove the 'fix' file from this addon for whichever maps you WON'T be using. Not using FATA? Then remove the files 'fata_fix' and its bisign...then when A3 is launched you won't get errors about FATA. Same goes for the 7 other map fixes located within this addon. Downloading just the map itself without the addons required for the map WILL NOT WORK. FATA requires several other addons in order to function properly, these addons can be obtained from the download page for the map itself. This really isn't rocket science people, and a little common sense can go a long ways. Not sure why anyone would download this if they don't even know what it does, or if they have no intention of using any of the maps that this addon fixes. You will need more than just this addon alone to use A2 maps in A3, so if you are unwilling to search around and download the requirements, then why bother downloading in the first place?

    @A3MP - ArmA 3 Map Pack

    I have been testing a ton of A2 maps with A3MP and will try to post a list at some point of maps that work, and issues encountered while running them. Lingor unfortunately is one of the few maps that doesn't seem to work at the moment. But, on a plus side, Dingor is fully operational and works without any problems at all. Try that one out and see what you think.
  24. Excellent release, Alduric, many thanks. Been digging through a pretty large collection of A2 maps, seeing which ones are functional now. For everyone reporting the issue with the waterline on FATA, Alduric had already answered this issue with a link to download FATA without ponds (just requires a bit of time for someone to read through the topic): https://mega.co.nz/#!Q18Bwagb!Ub1WRTerNSOSqiL5j9bNSSiUPdsjGlomrSHSMuadQS4 Still have noticed a waterline on Clafghan map even after removing the 'pond.pbo' from the addons. Doesn't happen often and only seems to pop up in certain areas, but not nearly as bad as it was before.

    @A3MP - ArmA 3 Map Pack

    Actually, Alduric posted a link under the topic for his A3MP-AP addon which provides a download for the map FATA without ponds, which fixes the waterline bug...or it did in my case. https://mega.co.nz/#!Q18Bwagb!Ub1WRTerNSOSqiL5j9bNSSiUPdsjGlomrSHSMuadQS4 Hope that helps.
