Why? because there's a CO-OP campaing with multiple respawn? More than 3 years of support, updates, free content and now BIS is interested to get "mindless zombies" or "COD players"? Yeah... sure. This includes: KOTH players, Wasteland players, Life players, CO-OP players, Clan players, Exile players and much, much more.. Why so much criticism for 5 scenarios based in a drop-in, drop-out gameplay?. There are a huge number of realistic scenarios out there, some are better other are worse. But I dont see that anyone creating such amount of posting. I do not see the need to convert these scenarios in a realistic way. I like how they are righ now and given my reasons on this particular subject. Unfortunately I think this thread will become a continuous sea of ​​complaints and requests until some people insulting and / or criticizing get what they want.

This is unbelivable... :rolleyes: What part of: "The Apex Co-op Campaing dont be designed to add more options (like: no respawn, savegames, daytime, tickets)", you dont understand? The scenarios of APEX is designed exactly this way (JIP, no savegames, no tickets, no variable daytime) and only works as it is, adding an option like no-respawn and the scenario dont either. and what is the meaning of this? I spend more than 2000hrs creating scenarios in SP, COOP, editing missions, creating mods to debug mission, writings manuals, scritps, re-thinking entire missions and re-edit to remove respawn ( for the love of realism), all for the entire arma 3 players. The APEX CO-OP CAMPAING doesnt work ( from gameplay perspective )without his JIP and multiple respawn, you need specially designed new scenarios to be played based in the realism settings. Instead of ask for more options in a finished and well designed campaing ask for new one or even better develop one as a mod designed based in realism settings.

No I never, ever create a coop mission, mp mission, dom-style mission (edit), sp mission, mission parameter framework, pdf manuals, mods, report issues of Arma 3 :lol: :lol: :lol:.. - I dont have any idea of I'm talking about :D :D :D. I'm a newcomer, casual, dictator - and I have a STAR - DESTROYER too!!! :P - This is exactly that you have it, an excelent COOP campaing that you paid for. And for the rest of your post, please read the entire thread there where I explain - with arguments - why to me is a very bad idea to add paramerters to a excellent desing/work APEX CO-OP CAMPAING.

Newcomer, dictator, casual, mmmm wait... what more? :D :D :D :D I like the idea behind the APEX campaing as it is, to me is a great idea and works very well. Why you dont make a same campaing based in this missions with your own settings?, I dont believe will be too difficult to do something similar or equal. ;) Instead ruin the design of well hand crafted missions... why dont make another new one created by your own hands? Is very strange to me see the why some people prefer ask something when they have create something by his own hands.

People complaining against APEX COOP because they think is very "casual", 5 maybe 6 people in this thread. People asking options to add mission parameters - IMHO this ruin the APEX experience -, 2 maybe 3. People playing right now APEX: 32 the official servers are full at 23:46 PM. The numbers are clear the APEX expansion is a complete success as it is. Please devs dont ruin this wonderful moment and leave the people play and enjoy freely.

Is only a idea to show by yourself the idea behind the APEX coop scenario but if dont want do this you are free to anything you want.

Too much drama to me. This is only my opinion about the APEX EXPANSION, is a good idea show the coop gameplay to the players that usually plays alone.

Is relevant in the way the mission was created. As I see all your mission dont have multiple spawn points with pre-defined routes to create front-lines and is obivous to me are far, far away from the concept of APEX EXPANSIONS ( with daytime in mind ) and the coop mission is designed to play in every day time or weather condition. To me you dont have an exact idea that you are speaking for. I suggest try a create an assault mission with the same ideas like APEX expansion and after of that remove the multiple spawn points to see the impact in the mission workflow.

Again and again the same ideas, saying the same dont prove anything. You dont like the coop campaing playing solo, I like the sp APEX experience but I think is better with the exact people that is desinged for. Adding a save game - to me - broke the spirit of the gameplay. I suggest that you make your own mission exactly as you like but to me the APEX expansion playing as solo or coop is great.

I was perflectly to play the entire campaing in APEX and I like, but the missions are created like coop scenarios isnt the same experience play a coop scenario alone than with the all the players. And trying to prove your arguments using different games and differents campaings in this debate is a nonsense to me.

And? What the point to point me as a casual? casual is only a label to sell and specific game to an audience thats all. You dont know nothing about me and your are trying to create a false idea: "This guy is only a casual, he cant understand the complexity of a realistic way of think of a big clan..." Sorry but no... I play in every way inside Arma 2 and Arma 3. Not only play alone - mostly alone - but inside in the biggest clans in Spain, I make specific training courses for leadership units - showing the benefits of the OODA by example - ... But I understand multiples points of view not only the "clan" ideas and I have that strong beliefs that adding extra parameters to disable respawn to an scenario specially created in that way is a very bad idea.

I cant say what very popular game is using unlockables auto spawn points. And I cant say what very popular scenario has the same unlockable spawn points that create the same front-line you have in APEX. Sorry I dont remember. :)

.. I'm sweating right now with this debate and the hot summer in Madrid... Ok I try to explain to everybody: First clear your mind and breath. Now read I try to think in another way. I'm a younger boy that only play KOTH, WASTELAND and other gametypes. I dont know nothing about coop because I dont wanna be a realistic soldier. I want only play a coop mission. Sadly the mission are very difficult to me or need a lot of pleople to play or I die at the begining and I cant play unless the mission is finish. APEX coop EXPANSION saves my day. I can play, I can play with other people because the I can respawn following a route and I can select my equipement before the mission. I'm happy, this is fun. One month later: Mmmm what is this of the realistics mil-sim units? mmm is like coop misions of APEX but with real veterans of Arma that can help to play even better!! Oh my gosh... this is awesome...

Do you remember the OFP times when all the people plays coop missions with unknow people? or the the Doom times playing in an old 28k modems? there's no ts or battlelog in those days...

The core mechanic behind the co-op gameplay is playing a game with unknow people. The formations are tactics and the voip is an gameplay aid but isnt deeply related with the core of coop gameplay. Right now a lot of players of Arma 3 doesnt know the coop mechanics and they are playing alone, STEAM is filled with game petitions to play with people that only wants play a coop mission, but when they find people dont have any help in a helpful mission. The realism is not related with concepts like "authentic" is a kind of gameplay and for the begginers is most a barrier than a help. To me is clear the divorce between newbies and the "Armalike" ideas and now there's a complete new generation that doesnt know the benefits of coop gameplay. The apex expansion right now is a wonderful idea that will be ruined if you change the effort of the devs to bring new players to the main core of Arma ( small units with helpful missions) removing the respawns to achive a realims goals. Instead asking for more realism missions leave the APEX campaing free of realism and leave the campaing fun focused.

Can you explain to me how to learn the coop gamepay in a SP bootcamp? Even better how to teach someone something that dont like? To me the APEX campaing is perfect to fullfill this objetives and at the same time is fun. As I say before theres a lot of COOP community scenarios based on realism but theres a few that help to the new players how to play coop without help, APEX fill this gap perfectly.

The coop mission are created with is briefing and works as indepedent gameplay unit, I dont see any problem with newcomers to play a coop mission in a non linear way if they have a proper briefing. -
And how much time are you playing Arma/OFP games 1,2,3,4,5,6 years or more? Arma 3 is one or the latest old-school games that belongs to another era, and remains intact on his core fundations, and if we want to remain like that we need teach to the younger generations the benefits of the strong coop gameplay. You can achive that only if the mission help to coop gameplay in a "easy way". The apex expansion help to learn the core of the coop gameplay in the old-school way to the new generation in way never see before in Arma 3 and this is great. Instead complaint about the "pure" gameplay of Arma think about the benefits to slowly learn to achive the "realism" in another way.
