  1. You can change the Interface Size in the Options->Video->Display-> Interface Size Change it to normal or large to be able to read the things ;)

Arma 3 working with 120Hz monitors?

I use a 144Hz Screen too, if you want to avoid the blinking GUI you need to open the Arma3.cfg and change the setting "refresh" from 60 to 144 and save the file. No blinking GUI issue then ;)
  3. Yeah 550W should be enough when PSU is from a good Company as described. But watch out when put all of Arma to a SSD, copy and paste will not work, you should google it how to do correctly.
  4. I have a "Enermax Modu82+" with 525W. Its enough powerful for my System from Signature (4690K @ 4,5 Ghz / 970GTX Sli) You should buy a PSU from a good company like Enermax or "be Quiet" or something like that. Dont buy PSU´s from NoName Companys Edit: corrected typo
  5. If you can you should stick to the 970. A 960 is very well known as a "half Gtx" Here you can see some Game Benchmarks, clear to see how much faster the 970 is. I have 2 GTx 970 in SLI, the performance is great.
  6. For what you need 32Gb Ram? Did you make Video-Editing? 8Gb is enough for Arma. I would not buy so much Ram only for Arma, the disappointment will hit you hard...
  7. You must be trolling? Very High and ViewDistance at ~4000Meters with a ridiculous slow 730GTX.. And then you asking where the frames are hidden?
  8. Who cares. Arma performs like shit. Point.
  9. The Performance gain in other Games is mostly higher, only Arma manage it to stay below 1 Fps improvement ^^
  10. I talk about vram actually ,sorry this misunderstanding :) It´s late, i should get sleep for a couple of hours ^^ (ich glaub da haben wir aneinander vorbeigeredet ^^)
  11. 8 Gb is not enough when he wants to play in 4K... Some Games are eating RAM for breakfast when playing in 4K
  12. It´s good to have Ram (for the Future) who cares if Games will use it. Its good to know that Ram is available when needed, especially on Resolutions like 4K ;)
  13. You need to use the SLI DX11 Bits from Max Payne 3 to avoid this stuttering as i mentioned in my post Edit: sorry for doubleposting ^^
  14. I use SLI myself so i can answer your question: ther is absolutley no performance gain with SLI in Arma 3. Other Games scale good with SLI. But Arma is for sure one of the games which "poo" on the used hardware, no matter what, frames wont rise until the Engine of the game will get some updates. I wouldnt buy SLI for Arma, for other Games it´s legit. There doesnt exist an official SLI Profile, i for example use the SLI DX11 Bits of "Max Payne3", makes the game less stuttery when using SLI And i would buy the 32Gb Ram, cause it would be 2 klicks in Bios for me to make the Ram run easy the 3000Mhz ^^
  15. I have a 144Hz Screen and there is no difference compared to my old 60Hz Screen
  16. Looks great dude, especially the destruction. The intensity of destruction can be increased?
  17. I prefer the look of V5 too. I tested last night V6 and V6 Advanced (with Full RGB Colors of course) I also tried with neutral LUT... I rolled back to V5 ^^

Skylake vs Zen for A3 Thread

Yeah, buy the Skylake cause you see some Bars on a graphic from a Polish site. After you bought it dont forget to spam the Steam Discussion Threads with this sentence "have Skylake but no Fps gain"... I bet there will come by some real experts and they will start to "Bottleneck" your system ^^
  19. Sounds amazing. After seeing this vid it was hard to alt-tabbing back to the game and to listen to vanilla sounds. Day would be complete when there would be a link to download this mod, seems not to be today :(

    ASR AI 3

Thx Rob for your (in my opinion) "a must-have in loadorder" mod :)
  21. When you have the freezed screen @ Arma startup phenomenom you could try this: launch it again but dont move the mouse in these seconds when Arma is Initializing.. In many cases this helped ;)

Skylake CPUs - worth an upgrade?

You mean 10-15FPS in other Games? If yes then you should maybe upgrading for SLI (like in my Rig in Signature) You will notice the fps gain in a ton of games using SLI. And you CPU is great for this. If i were you i would not buy Skylake. If you want to enjoy Games (of course not Arma^^) very fluid i can suggest you a 144Hz Screen and SLI I use an Asus 27" (VG278HE) 144Hz with my SLI, this Screen is great when i use my 3DVision Kit2, cause the Screen supports Nvidias Lightboost Technology. 3D-Gaming is amazing with this setup

Skylake CPUs - worth an upgrade?

Of course, i forgot to mention it. For future games it should be legit to buy new hardware. The 6700K isnt much faster than actual Haswell CPU´s in case you didnt know :) http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/core-i7-6700k-processor-review-desktop-skylake,16.html

Skylake CPUs - worth an upgrade?

Yeah, you have maybe those 5 frames more, but Arma-like you cant save this frames. Just a couple of Scripts later the frames usually goes down too (thats my experience most times)... We (the players) shpuld not upgrading our Systems for a ton of cash to gain a couple of frames. The only thing which needs an Update is the engine of arma
