    The best ideas always happen when you are on your break. In this case breakfast LOL. But I was thinking i believe Jay Crowe did say that there will be new vehicle classes. The VTOL and the LSV. That said maybe we are looking at it too literally. That is perhaps the LSV class will be able to do things other vehicles cant. If you played HALO the Warthog is ruff and tumble. If can turn on a dime. And really get some air at high speed. Maybe the LSV class from an Engine PhysX point of view will mean high speed. Fast acceleration from stand still. Tight turning circle and being able to launch off out croppings and dirt jumps and not be damaged. Unless it just means that a VTOL and a Light Strike Vehicle are in because those aren't in game yet officially.

    You said originally is this really much better regards the released image of the new water shader running on either Altis or Stratis. To which i said. Is it making it worse? I believe no. Perhaps i wasn't clear. The visual update is indeed a great add on which will add improvements for free. If you mean they can do better. perhaps there is engine or workforce limitations where they can't spend another six months on a better visual update. There are two camps I see on these forums and Social Media. One group who feels BIS just can't get it together regards ArmA 3 and one more objective where it sees the overall goal BIS is going for. I am not going to knock BIS for trying. Again they could have wrapped EDen and Zeus and the visual updates and the odd sound improvement into a paid for DLC and likely got away with it with old die hards eager to purchase. They didn't. They rolled these out for free. Blizzard takes years to make one game or one expansion. Ubisoft and EA does a year cycle between each Battlefield or Far Cry. BIS does also take its time to do a more measured approach. But Ubisoft and EA try milk you for every cent. I have lost count how many paid for Expansions Battlefield 3, 4 and Hardline has. So as they say pick your poison...who you gonna choose? I am also not the vanguard of the poor down trodden BIS employees of the scared hearts of BIS fan boy brotherhood. I am not overly rose tinted glasses about everything BIS does. I too am worried the Expansion is LITE! BUT! I just can't really complain about free updates. People think i am nuts still playing ArmA 3. Why...simple its Modifiable and new content is always made. Few games give that. So the benefits are there...case point and I will stop now RHS! And they are but one of the many tallented developers doing stuff for free out of passion for what is a lot of ungrateful "kids".

    Miller was actually a SEAL coupled to the CIA who "pretended" to be a NATO rifleman. His mission as a rifleman was to find the illusive CSAT Earth Quake tectonic weapon. Upon finding out the UK has had underhanded dealings and is a huge strategic partner with NATO. He knew he could not rely on well established Western militaries as the corruption ran too deep. He having only one avenue...He went back to a familiar haunt. FIA. He was clearly reconing the Beach for CSAT.

    Miller in the bush! It really doesn't make sense. He goes from NATO to Guerrilla. Back to NATO and now on Tanoa he is a Guerrilla again. I think its a bit of a wild goose chase or red herring they have put on us. Short of putting a female character lounging on a deck chair.

    Isn't there confirmed but cut images of a CSAT Railgun tank floating around. I know of only 3 Strike vehicles. The one you mentioned. The old Light Strike Vehicle and then the Light Strike Vehicle developed in Singapore.     You should ask it is making it worse? I think we can say no. Again a free update when it could have been tied into Apex for Tanoa only. I think judging from the released image we are close to the mass role out of the new Ocean and lighting shader for Altis and Stratis.

    I got the message on Facebook of the update out in the evening yesterday. By this time I was one day into my Holiday LOL. Believe it or not I went back to our office today to Torrent the update on our high speed ADSL LOL. All for a Mod. Not just any Mod I might add.

    You will be surprised who doesn't know. I just figured why slate people who are less informed. The biggest thing about ArmA is the huge community following. We should be approachable just as much for "novices" who are curious. That way people feel included and welcome. Treat people as you wish to be treated.

    zukov The video above is the new Island being developed by BIS for the upcoming Expansion called Apex. Much as Altis was released a bit later for the Vanilla ArmA 3 game. Tanoa is the new map which will form the new Battlefield you can run and gun on. As far as what Apex is its the Expansion. What it will contain past Tanoa is purely been speculation. Apart from the mentioned Light Strike Vehicle and the VTOL.

    I do not dispute anything you saying-but said under the guise of being determined...but as you said Countless of Hours. Does that then mean to a 13 year old Kid or a new Arma 3 player/ Mission maker. That Mission making becomes the exclusive realm of die hards? Perhaps Yes some will say. But if I could have had the option to buy EDen I would have signed on gladly and paid for these features. I think and this has been said the way to find Advanced scripting information according official BIS documentation regards mission making hasn't gotten easier. Lets be honest the Guys working at BIS are talented or Mission makers that have run the gauntlet years back to create content unofficially before being hired. A good example is Joris who is now Project Lead. The new Units feature introduced to bring players together. Is a great idea. Too bad we do not see a more streamlined System on advanced Scripting documentation. Doing this in Google "UAV splash video ArmA 3 tutorial" gets me everything but how to implement an orbiting UAV feed at Mission Start. Sure I could try different Key word searches. But Man you have to really be determined to get a Industry standard Mission out the door. In closing am I not wanting to seem like the Doom and Gloom squad that posts complaints daily that ArmA sucks. I am also not "knocking" Karel. Credit must be given for his Virtual Arsenal and now Eden and likely even Zeus. I do not even develop for BIS but the daily You suck must be very demotivating. The amount BIS has given the community being a small studio speaks volumes, because again you would get maybe two updates from EA and 8 DLC's all for increased cash flow.

    Hi again Karel and said EDen developers. I hope this isn't seen as a "lets just spam them with requests or demands". So speaking from my heart...The biggest issues why my missions haven't been finished. Is what i will try explain below. How to make tasks that it is easy to understand-that is to implement it that it works. Yes there are tutorials and bits and pieces floating around the Net. But I feel it would be great if this was explained at little easier or if you had an easy and advanced Task system. Or if there was a Tutorial system in place that shows how to set up tasks. Like a Destroy A. Assassinate B. Leave area C. Board Helo D. Coupled with Markers that show key areas of interest. Its often the case I would like my Missions to be as true to what is officially made by BIS. That quality. But alot of these missions have advanced dynamics. For instance the opening loading screen of a BIS mission has a orbiting UAV feed before the mission starts. I would like to implement that as well. It is maybe the case to Code these systems in will take time. That is to make these options easy to use in EDen. But the depth of content created once these systems are in place would allow us to create more then just simple missions. Yes Karel not all of us speak C++. That is to say not all of us get how to do advanced system scripting. Secondly really advanced mission making from custom music. Dialog, lip syncing, animations "Play Move", radio messages with dialog. These are again hard to implement which is only a bit easier after again reading online and goggling and still its backwards and forwards with trying to find a functional system. Make AI place satchels charges by themselves. Currently there is no system that allows you upload file. In this case maybe a custom song. Or splash image for the beginning mission. There is no system that does it simply that allows lip syncing and coupled to animated gestures. No system in place to make cut scenes. Again i know many on this Forum will say dude you have to learn it and Google etc. But isnt EDen meant to make all this simple that is also allows said BIS developers faster work flows to create new scenarios. Again to code this all in will take time. But I am hoping you can see we would like a system that is more intuitive. For what its worth I love EDen. Its really an awesome fast system to create missions. I would just like to improve my missions from basics to advanced mission making.

    chortles here is a question. If you feel BIS more so the developers of ArmA 3 are corrupt enough to rig a vote. Then why are you even then on this forum? Logically? I could never understand someone that hates on something yet feels open to wanting to talk about it or be involved in something they dislike. You vote with your pocket. If you dislike BIS or ArmA 3 do not buy the Expansion the game or demand your money back. I think you also do not give BIS enough credit. Where is your factual evidence BIS will swing the vote? Its akin to me saying yeah they in it to screw me over without having a solid shred of evidence they will. So that makes me now naive? Tell me apart from complaining what are you doing to address it... the issues with ArmA 3? Its like people complain all day om Facebook ArmA 3 sucks. But have never put in the hours to make even a simple mod or even try. They will find fault even with a Steak made by Gordon Ramsey. Secondly I maintain if we had a system where we could influence things why cant we? Oh wait we are naive to ask. It has taken BIS years to do Bi pods and a 3D editor. They listened to what we wanted even though it took years. Again you would have us just sit by and accept. Part of what makes ArmA so great is the community. What do you think the bugs forums are for. Posting in hopes issues get fixed no? Should we not do that because again its bending on them? I again state I am not saying you want a Jet ski and Peter wants a Jeep lets vote on that. I have said not fine details. But when you have paying clients you listen to them. You can never make them happy but you do acknowledge your biggest community base/ supporters. You last statement about Tanoa. What would you have Tanoa be? A dead Island version of Day Z in the tropics. The Map has many water ways. I see no point making a tropical island if all it is is just a greener island. I am sure I can say people want Amphibious. Its not rocket science. The map is suited for that. If you feel differently fine. But Apex and Tanoa is meant to be a different set up with new characters, stories, dynamics and factions. Imagine if it was more of the same. Would you be happy?

    It has been the case even with using the correct channels as you implied. Nothing gets done. Here is someone willing to help and you knit picking its not sent via the Forums. The issues only addressed is the issues posted by BIS on their forum. But if people are requiring new items or features...there is a wish list. BUT! Hardly no feed back is given. I guess this is fine then as long as its seen by your rationale.

    i cannot recall that caveat of information regards China. Its been a while since i replayed the Campaign. Maybe a year...at least the entire thing. I been too busy fart arsing-excuse my French.. with real life Work and EDen. Not that I doubt you. But pity if China isn't the new Blue -eyed poster child for OPFOR. The amount of propaganda existent in North Korea would be welcome in Game. Regards to what else you said. I maybe wasn't clear. I have no issue about large tracked vehicles, Tanks, MARPS or even APC's. Russia's new BMPT Terminator is really bad ass. Perhaps even Cruise Missiles fired from a modern day destroyer would be also an awesome system to have in Game. I love variety. Half of my night is spent reading all I can about Military Gear. Keyboard Spec ops LOL. BUT! My worry is BIS may say well Tanoa was conceptualized for a tight claustrophobic setting with a limited movement dynamic and a vision approach.Its best for infantry. We felt vehicles are secondary to that. We didn't feel a large mechanized units would work-cause its a Jungle. So we kinda just terminated the whole mechanized unit thingy part of Tanoa. And then they say but PS. We have this new Spec Ops guy with a small drone that can fly around and spy on units-diversion. You not gonna miss those. Cause we gave you this new pistol that shoots Auto and Semi. Moving on. I am also super excited about a large expansion. I just don't wanna feel that oh familiar hot feeling of oh well here is what feeling screwed feels like again. The expansion from the Graphical representation of the development time frame lists Q2 2016. I assume that is on Stable branch. http://arma3.com/news/arma-3-roadmap-2015-16#.VmcvBL9LVlg When i first saw this a week or two back i was very curious regards the development of it. As it shows that its been in development from about April 2014. This is though very intriguing because to me it means two things. Work had started then and the expansion has a lot judging on the amount of time they have had to work on it...maybe . Or we sat around and discussed what we would like from that. Tanoa was developed for months. And now come mid 2015 actual getting down to brass tacks started, that is vehicles and weapons etc. I can maybe close with this. To get leaked inside info on the Web on this is virtually impossible. You know a leaked HD version of a hot movie is leaked well before the movie premiers. Apex aint that. I have to really say no one has dropped the ball. The Tanoa accidental Web post wasn't really that bad since it was just a static image. If I was well off i would honestly pay for a studio tour and ask directly So about that Apex thing..do you mind if i saw a bit of it. BIS has obviously a very close knit crew that will go down with the ship, before they sing like a canary LOL.

    chortles I doubt it will be an issue if the community could vote more on major issues. I am not saying everything...this is about the Expansion. Like do you want a Lite, Medium or a Heavy Expansion. Factions are A, B and C. Prices are X Y and Z. Not assume everyone will be pleased with just 7 weapons in the Marksman DLC. I have no issue paying more for more. I am even considering buying the Digital Deluxe Edition in hope additional revenue is plowed in development. What I do not want is the big bad boggie man of business maximizing profit and minimizing costs and we will give you a watered down Expansion because we want to make as much as we can. BIS is unique in regards it is very community conscious. Do not alienate you largest player base. There was a Poll on the Marksman DLC on how BIS handles DLC's. I am not saying fine details can be left to the whims of said Community. But lets look at this. TankX tracked Amphibious support It shouldn't even be a debate. It shouldn't even be a situation of us "reminding" the developers we need this. people are asking for an internal fast rope system. The ability to remove the new fatigue mechanic. Yes I read there is some command you can use. I am just worried with Tanoa-yes there is room for big vehicles. But BIS does the whole...well the Island is a Jungle technically...We didn't feel it was perfect setting for that, so there you go here are your pimped out army Jeeps with a .50 and and a AGL on it. Why then even create a Jungle Pacific island if all it is gonna be used for its nostalgia and "maybe modders can use this better than we can". I mean nostalgia because it has feelings of Jungle Beach invasion amphibious warfare. But if the developed Content doesn't support Amphibious warfare its basically just a prettier official non bugged Stratis or Altis island. Perhaps the new bad guy is Australia...being close to that area LOL. But CSAT is an amalgamation of Arab states and Asian countries. It can only be North Korea, Russia or even a united Korea that is OPFOR. The other potential is China. Judging on the Asian faces included I think its Asian.
