Awesome! can't wait to see it with other color textures and with side mounted machineguns :) I suppose there is only going to be a version with both the forward mounted weapon and the side machineguns right? More variants that delete the forward mounted gun or the side machineguns are unnecessary IMO. Also is there any reason for it to have missiles? In the last version it had missiles which is quite strange, not sure if you're planning to add a version with missiles under the wings or if it just was for testing.

Would that be possible in arma? This would not be an attachment but part of the weapon itself. Then the scope would also be part of the weapon, but it would not be physically visible, x4 x8 or x12 depending the weapon type, some weapons such as the plasma rifle would not have this scopes. http://hce.halomaps.org/images/files/lg/HUD2.jpg to change between them press control + right mouse button. This would also give it a futuristic look, and the sight would be somewhat hidden as it is just an holographic dot floating in the air. This would allow the weapon to have good precision and to be very close to the weapons of the lore.     I agree it would not be canon, but in a game such as arma 3 it may work, look at this: The designs of the sights should fit the covenant though, and be as small as possible, so they can't be noticed easily, looks like the plasma pistol has some kind of iron sight or at least it looks like one, use it as reference. if not you can always replace iron sights by http://hce.halomaps.org/images/files/lg/HUD2.jpg but x1, it would look somehow like a reflex sight, but more technologically advanced as you see the end of the gun. well you know what I mean, in that view you would not see the gun, so it wouldn't obstruct your vision. The problem is that it is a very awkward weapon to add to arma: very slow projectiles, they seek and follow, and explode. Also if iron sights are added, the design of it would not allow to have an iron sight on it, because of the spikes. Plus there are already quite a lot of weapons in the list. I'm just asking what do you think about it.

    Oh so youre going to add iron sights and scopes to covenant weapons? Iron sights would be uncommon on them but it could be very cool, but quite far from being canon as iron sights are human designs. About the scope attachments, that is something more complicated, I can't imagine something like an ACOG scope or sniper scope attachment in a covenant weapon, they usually are incorporated to the design of the weapon, but lets see how this turns out. If they do something similar in halo online you could have a great reference: It could be similar to the OP Trebuchet assault rifle, it has an iron sight, and a ''virtual'' scope, to change between them press control + right mouse click. Also it would be similar to the lore as the carbine has a x4 optics if I remember correctly. Grunts are the only ones that would have limitations due to their size, I agree. No problem you are welcome, my English is not perfect either, but I'm glad I have been useful :) Can't wait to see more screenshots of the carbine.

    If you are aiming to create characters such as elites I would recommend you to either learn how zbrush or scupltris work, or to find someone who knows how those softwares work. It is the best program if you want to create ''organic'' stuff, such as living things, elites in this case. For vehicles, weapons etc better use 3DS MAX or blender or another software, there are quite a lot of programs. So if you want to really try to make an elite yourself, try :) But in case you not, don't worry, you still have more than enough skills to make the weapons and possibly the vehicles, having a weapon using plasma technology in arma 3 is priceless. As itfrankiea has said, if you show that you've been working on this, people will take you more seriously and someone will most likely join your cause. EDITED: Covenant weapons don't have attachments, the iron sights and scopes are part of the weapon, but not in physical form, they are more like digital. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090511040727/halo/images/4/4f/H2_weaponszoom.jpg All the covenant weapons could use this type of scope as the normal scope, then for longer distances otpics could be x1 or x4 or x8 or x12 depending the type of weapon. For instance: All rifleman would be grunts, marksman and snipers = jackals/skirmishers, team leader = elites, etc... Or are grunts going to be team leaders too? that would be strange. When it comes to weapons: Grunts would only use: Plasma pistol (Rifleman 1, medic, demolitions, crewman), Plasma rifle (Rifleman 2), Fuel rod cannon (AT rifleman) Elites would only use: Plasma rifle (Crew/pilot , Spec ops, officer), Storm Rifle (Rifleman 3, team leader, squad leader, Spec ops 2), Covenant Carbine (Rifleman 4, engineer, demolitions, medic, spec ops 3), Plasma Launcher (AT/AA specialist), concussion rifle (Grenadier) Jackals/skirmishers would only use: Focus rifle (Autorifleman, spec ops 4) , Needle Rifle (Marksman, Observer, spec ops 5), Beam rifle (Sniper, Recon, spec ops 6) summary: Grunts: Crewman (Driver gunner) , Rifleman 1, Rifleman 2, Medic, Demolitions, AT rifleman.     Awesome mammoth tank! But I'm really interested about the RTS feature, which could work not only with this mod but with vanilla arma and other mods, such as Lost Dragons or Operation Trebuchet. Have you considered to actually use the mammoth tank in Lost dragons? It is so awesome.
  8. About the Night vision discussion a while ago, Marines and ODST have night vision incorporated in their HUDs and helmet visors, but what about the Army?   9. That is what I supposed. Also why is the Grizzly not in that list? Is there any reason for it? I also took a look at the other stuff such as the new devices/weapons, pretty cool, I did not know most of them. Though I have some questions: Flares: What kind of flares? Air countermeasures? Or for signalling/illumination purposes? They both are already in arma 3, you want to make custom models and effects for them? And a prowler and corvette apart from the frigate, those things are quite huge too. you are quite ambitious, aren't you? :) About ODSTS having a Reach approach,, I agree their camo is still quite dark and it looks much cooler IMO.

    People we have to remember he is working alone and he has limits, for now he is doing the weapons, and he is doing a pretty good job at that, so I think he should concentrate in making as many Covenant weapons as possible. I would dare to say he even could do vehicles, but something as characters is much more complicated than that, he has already stated that that is beyond his limits and he is going to need help from the community. So until someone appears to make something as characters and other stuff that requires a higher skill level, let him work in the weapons, cause he is doing a great job :) After all, the weapons and vehicles do not require elites and the other covenant species in order to work in Arma 3. So, as that is much more complicated, leave it for the future and lets hope that we can see covenant weapons and vehicles ''soon'' :) In the lore some jackals provided the insurrectionists with covenant stuff too, so maybe we can see some of them in Project Trebuchet. Hope we can see someone getting elites in arma 3 soon too. Seems 1. is going to be a better option, unless someone is willing to make all the animations from 0 and have a similar quality to the animations from arma 3.     Wow you work quite fast! :D Can't wait to see more screenshots. Do you also texture? I'm Spanish but I think it would be very strange if elites spoke my language, that's why I suggested random sounds as wort wort wort xD so its like hey spoke their own language. Would work as OPFOR-CSAT, you understand them by reading the subtitles in the left. and yes unfortunately you can't use assets and stuff extracted from any of the halo games, but luckily there are quite a lot of custom models done by fans. That would be wise, it's a shame we can't have things more similar or true to the lore, but in Arma 3 if the elites ar emuch taller than humans you'll se their head outside vehicles and doors and entrances will be too small for them, so they could be slightly taller, but not by much. That is one of the reasons I'm worried about the Hunters, more than infantry they are vehicles lol. I agree, but elites speaking French... sounds awkward. Maybe this can sound a bit crazy but you could create 'random sounds'', wort wort jeganya etc , look at halo 4 elites speaking. Then subtitles would be in English French etc... Depending what is your language. That should do. Invisibility would be a feature only to sepc ops units and very limited so people will not overuse it. Im pretty sure we will find a way. Hope they can provide you those models :) Some people are making a halo game in cryengine and the models are incredible, maybe you could try there too. It is called halo contingency.

    Just found this mod, this is awesome! Aliens are so OP, and the aircrafts outmaneuver anything I've seen before in arma. I have always wanted aliens in arma. Maybe you could help him? You've got some nice alien weapon effects.

    You may be right about invisibility, I remember a Predator mod with that feature, but you weren't invisible to AI think. Increasing the armor would work though I would love to see a shield effect when hit too. I have seen so many types of tracers in arma scifi mods, so I agree plasma tracers are possible, though its speed would have to be tweaked. Yes that could work, find a battery to recharge the weapon like if it was ammo, the magazine would be quite large depending the weapon, plasma rifle and carabine are different in this sense. covenant ammo boxes could have both ammo and batteries. The only thing is that Overheat should be applied to some covenant weapons somehow, infantry firing 200 bullets without having to reload or wait sounds OP.     Ammo also intrigues me, most covenant weapons use something like battery charges in most of their weapons instead of ammo, they also don't seem to use any kind of backpacks.   20. We are going to have quite a lot of armors then lol Army with 2 camo variants, Marines and ODST. Now we are getting 2 more marine armors, 1 light the other heavy, and you want to add Halo 3 marines too? That , sounds gorgeous :D Though I'm a bit disconcerted, did not you guys wanted to approach to the Reach and H1 anniversary design more? Because HCE marines are quite different from the marines from the other games and the ones you have already in the mod. Sniper rifle is looking great BTW Definitely you should create a reddit account there are some very interesting conversations there. About the innies attacking Earth and Reach, it would make sense because they actually did that, at least in Reach. But during Operation Trebuchet they were forced to be at the defensive, UNSC had the initiative there, the innies were defending the outter colonies and the UNSC attacking, not the other way around.

  23. A small island mostly made of buildings and another big island mostly made of rural settlements sounds wise. Its like Utes - chernarus and altis - stratis. Both maps could take place in Eridanus II or a planet from the outter colonies. The big one being mostly a large rural area with some farms, settlements and small towns as well as some UNSC base and military airport and outposts for the rebels to own. There could be a secondary small airport like the ones seen in Altis. http://www.halobase.de/fileadmin/media/gallery/concept-art/halo-wars-concept-art/halowars_concept_art_55.jpg The small one would be a ''small'' size map set in the city of Ellysium or Luxor, you could get inspiration from new Mombasa and new Alexandria to make this one and you would have more creative freedom. It would make sense that things happened in one of the outter colonies and not on reach or earth, mostly Eridanus. Quite a lot of buildings would be required, small-medium sized apartments, skycrappers, bridges, space elevator, space port, airport, etc... If you guys decide to make this, it is going to be a hell lot of a work. Edit: Even halo legends could be a nice reference for the maps.   24. So using halo reach as an ''Art'' reference and setting, but also using all halos for its content? That sounds very nice I must say. This means that vehicles such as the cougar and the hornet are in. Gladius and wombat may make it too since they were listed in TEI. the sparrowhawk now that you have a nice model may make an appearance too. Unsure about vehicles such as the elephant, wolverine, grizzly, shortsword, rhino, fox cannon, Aardvark and cobra. hope you guys can confirm us all that soon.
