  1. Well it was in the official Covenant forum conversation, don't remember where exactly. And maybe more than porting the insurrectionists to independent, maybe they could keep them both in opfor and independent. This way we would have some kind of independent faction too apart from the colonial militia, and we would keep the current opfor enemy used in the missions. After all covenant is a secondary mod and not the main mod.
  2. As far as im concerned there are going to be covenant both in independant and opfor. Pretty much a copy of each other, independant could be considered heretics though. So you can pretty much make a vs against everything.

    BEAUTIFUL! Love the dark and blue mixture, it makes the armor look more detailed. Now you only need that blue to become red, golden yellow and white and with that there will be enough variants for this armor. Then you could make the spec ops armor, and that should be enough.     If you have figures then that is going to be extremely useful. Theronnet could take some ingame screenshoots too if necessary, just like he did with: http://imgur.com/a/w2Occ screenshots could be taken from 5 different points of view (side, above, under, front and rear) perfectly aligned. So they could be really good references. I haven't found many screenshots about the spectre, AA wraith and shadow. Scarab too, although there are 3d models. then the halo wars locust and vampire don't have many good references. And it would be nice to have references from h3 and halo reach static turrets too.     That looks quite good! You textured it faster than I expected. So what is going to be in the first release? The first page looks outdated compared to what you have done: -Type-25 Directed Energy Pistol (Plasma pistol) => Done -Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle (Plasma rifle) => UV-MAPPING (Wasn't it already finished?) -Type-33 Light Anti-Armor Weapon (Fuel Rod Cannon) => Done -Energy Sword =>Done -CSAT Retextures (Done?) You now have a ghost too :) All that stuff should be fine for the first release. Maybe you could try and texture the carbine, so you could add it to the first release too, not a bad idea considering you already have the 3d model done. Then for second release I would suggest adding the spectre and banshee. So the covenant would have something like a warthog and an aerial vehicle for CAS. When it comes to weapons the storm rifle (riflemen), beam rifle (sniper) and needle rifle (Marksman) would be nice additions. Halo 2 anniversary spectre and banshee look quite good: For the third release you could go for the wraith, AA wraith and maybe the phantom and/or spirit. Considering making those complex vehicles is not going to be easy, you could limit the weapons to be done to the Type-52 Guided Munitions Launcher/Explosive (Plasma launcher) , so infantry now can have AA weapons too. For the fourth release you could go with the shadow and revenant. Shadow would be pretty much an IFV/APC acting similarly as the unsc cougar while the revenant would be a stronger ghost. In this release you would release the last weapons, being the Type-50 Directed Energy Rifle/Heavy (Concussion rifle) and Type-52 Special Applications Rifle (Focus rifle). http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140513045557/halo/images/2/2b/H2_Concept_Shadow2.png Fifth release would add the static weapons. Then if you see it possible and convenient vehicles such as the locust, scarab and vampire. And all that would be left are the character models. How does that sound to you? Setting objectives for every release is a good way to organize stuff.

    nice updates! Glad to see you added hexagonal forms to the textures, looks pretty good. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but what you have done is pretty good already. Keep up the good work and I'm pretty sure we will be able to enjoy a first release soon. About weapon colors, I definatelly prefer this purple over the blue one.   11. That is an Epic jump! Anyway, the fort is awesome, it reminds me of the halo 3 live action trailer. BTW, I see trees that are totally pink? That is a bit strange, if only the leaves are pink then that is ok but it is something that draw my attention a lot. Its nice to see trees with other colors. I think there could be some variations in the grass too, so some parts of it are brown/yellow even a bit red.     As far as I'm concerned there won't be a proper overcharge feature. Most likely it is going to have some kind of magazines, and it will use the weapon freezing animation to reload.

Some time ago I contacted him but yeah he is quite inactive. But send him a message, he may reply late but it is better than nothing.

    Wait, since when? Banshee!! Awesome! Will it work as a VTOL that can change between Jet and Helicopter mode? That would be the best option. I'm just saying this because I see an helicopter icon on it and it would be very awkward for it to fly only like an helicopter. also my favorite one is the reach one, but if you use this one at the end that is fine. Well since as far as I'm concerned all OPTRE aircrafts are going to have VTOL capabilities, all that is needed is some kind of hangars and an open flat space to take off and land safely. between 12 and 24 islands in a 10 x 10 km map? that sounds cool though the islands are going to be quite small. Maybe you could add 1 screenshot from the terrain seen from above so we can see the layout and if there is any bigger island in there. The map is 20 x 20 km right? Edit: About the rocket launcher shininess, let's wait till it is ingame, a render is quite different from an ingame screenshot, lets see how it looks in a ingame screenshot and decide later. Maybe it looks better than you expect.
  23. sweet mother theresa on the hood of a mercedes benz, that is the definition of beautiful. any chances of other assets getting a texture overhaul too? For instance the vehicles, specially the warthog wheels. Also I am the only one that thinks that the falcon textures look very ''clean'' compared to the pelican and warthog? They also seem to use a different color scheme. The only one that looks alright is the snow one, though there is no snow pelican.
