Marksmen DLC Weapon Feedback
stormhawkv replied to UltimateBawb's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Well, the HK-121 uses 7,62mm ammo in 50 round drum mags or 120 round box mags. Atm the vests of the heavy gunners can only carry two additional ammo boxes which leaves a lot of free space but not enough for a third box. -
Marksmen DLC Weapon Feedback

In my opinion it would be a good idea to give the MMGs smaller mags and reduce their inventory size at the same time. Maybe 100 rounds @ 40 for NATO (atm 130 rounds @ 50) and 120 rounds @ 50 for CSAT (atm 150 rounds @ 60). They are very cumbersome right now. -

Carrying capacity of CSAT vests reduced with 1.26?
stormhawkv replied to stormhawkv's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Actually the capacity of the NATO carrier rig and carrier rig GL were increased with 1.26 and these changes are documented in the changelog. That's why my first guess was that it happened accidentally when they reduced the explosive resistance of the CSAT vests. -
Carrying capacity of CSAT vests reduced with 1.26?
stormhawkv posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Since 1.26 all three CSAT vests (LBV, ELBV, grenadier harness) can hold two 30rnd 6,5mm mags less, but I can't find this in the changelog. Was it done on purpose? -
As Damian90 explained all tanks have handwheels but for those used in syria (and your statement was about tanks in syria) it is their only way to turn the turret whereas in a modern tank the gunner locks a target and the computer automatically aims the gun at it.
-
That's because they use handwheels to turn the turret and raise the gun. Modern tanks are equipped with computers and stabilizers. However, I agree that turret rotation speed is way too fast.

I never read the field manual until it was copied to the Community Wiki, but doing so could have made me try to load the Titan MPRL with AT missiles, which isn't possible. Or is it? In my opinion the description is misleading. What do you think?
-
Yeah, I did this with a T-100 at a stronghold. Shortly before I repaired it I noticed that only the left track was damaged. The gunner could have easily killed me but instead they gave up their tank. ^^ Thank you! I just finished your mission for the first time. It took me more than 20 hours and 80 reverts. It was fun and challenging at the same time. Keep up the great work!

Hi, Rydygier! I'm still playing v1.71 from ArmAholic and finally found the church that is now marked with a green X. I also have a vehicle nearby but how do I get the body into it? I would also like to know if it is still possible to find armored vehicles because I only came across variants of the HEMTT and Zamak during this playthrough.

There are 5 objectives in the first camp (Bomos), 12 in the second (Gori) and two or three in the last one.
-
Yes, it's a patrol mission you can do while in Gori. Just stand near one of the squads until someone says "I'm sorry to hear about Nicolo". You'll be given the task to kill a sniper at the end of the conversation.

The first post on page 5 mentions two crashed helicopters. Can someone tell me where they are? Edit: Found them but it took the squad ages to mention the locations.

Unable to switch weapons by using ";" and "ctrl+;"
stormhawkv posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I can't switch to my handgun by pressing ";" or to my launcher by pressing "ctrl+;" as shown in the controls. I already tried binding them to other keys but it doesn't help. Any solutions?
