  1. Ah thanks a lot man, I don't know how to make those, so I think I'll just try my luck on another game or something. Arma just hates me. lol
  2. Hmm, nothing really works. Arma is always crashing
  3. Ps, I've set up my P drive already, looking at other threads have fixed my buldozer in other cases, but just not when I hit rtm preview and try to load up an animation.
  4. Hey guys, Just trying to get somewhere with animations here. Been trying to follow tutorials but most of them all seem unfinished and don't really move onto actually opening them up in Arma to even view it. So, I'm stuck, when I go into the buldozer viewer, my model shows up, the textures are fine and everything. It's just when I go to load an animation using RTM preview, it gives me an error "ArmA 2 OA has stopped working" and crashes. Also, I can't even find other animations for the life of me to simply test so that I know what I'm editing. I have the icp_anims, but is there a way I can just load the simple running/crouch run animations from Arma itself?

    Scope Mod A3

Hey man, I just like lasers. Give me 50 lasers, strap em on me, I'll gladly parade around like a walking nightclub. During the day.

    TimeXleration (for Arma 3)

This is the coolest mod I have ever seen. I had no idea Arma 3 had clouds like this, barely even experienced night transitions. I've now just considered how little I have played!! Downloading!

    Advanced Cockpit Interaction

Dude! This is the best thing ever, much better than a stupid scrollwheel. ;)

    Scope Mod A3

No matter how unrealistic it is, I would love to see a red laser dot even during the day, without night vision. Is this possible?
  9. Thanks again 12th Monkey, this is awesome info, I just successfully modeled and skinned a dinosaur that I actually am proud of! Skinning really is simple work to do now, I've been using Crazy Bump to help with the normals and the occlusions. How ever it is just a test dummy for what I have planned, yesterday, I was busy putting together some concept art for the mod I've been wanting to do. You guys helping me out can get a sneak peak at it, I call it Europa. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46786541/EUROPA1g.jpg (448 kB) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/46786541/EUROPA1f.jpg
  10. That's it?! Brilliant, thanks a lot man, that definitely did the trick. ---------- Post added at 20:26 ---------- Previous post was at 20:22 ---------- Okay, yes, I have a regular skin texture, plus the normal texture as well as a third texture for dispose that I've made. Can Arma 3 use those?
  11. Greetings everyone, nice to meet you, I acquired Arma 3 just two days ago! Broke rule #22! I don't even know where to start, I guess I'll start with telling you I need help with the modelling side of Arma, I have no idea why but my textures are showing up inverted, like the skin is showing up on the INSIDE of the model. Second thing, I have an animation file ready to be imported, how do I even get it connected with the model? I've been modding games for years, and I can't count the number of times I've had to learn and relearn programs just to do one thing, or a several group of things. I have a small grasp at skinning and modelling, I'm even an artist, so I'm planning on doing something big for Arma. There is only one thing setting me back, is this huge mental block, Arma is making it extremely hard for me to learn anything from start to finish. There aren't many process video's or very clear step tutorials that bring you to any point in being able to figure things out on your own. I'm not saying the programs aren't user friendly, I can wrap my head around that, but I should be able to figure it out, I've spent months on this already, and haven't even got as far as to figuring out how to create a damn spawn point in Arma 2. I'm not trying very hard am I? Hehe, point is, I love this shit, everything about Arma has rekindled my spark in gaming, the immersiveness about everything is just spot on. DayZ, DayZ Origins, ACE, and all those mods, are all beyond inspiring, they're so simple and you don't realize that it was all possible by one thing, Arma. I have been apart of Arma 2 since it's release, yet I've tried learning many times, but everytime I have a question, I get stuck, I don't know what to google, I don't know who to ask because I'm too afraid of feeling like a newb. Here I am, as a complete Arma nub asking the community, you guys, who is willing to help? Maybe there's someone out there who can walk me through the beginning steps of what it takes to create a possible work flow for mods. In return I plan to pass the information regarding in depth video tutorials and forum tutorials. This is my first post, it's nice to meet everybody, hardened vets of Arma. I know programming doesn't work like this, but it really seems like it's easier than it looks, it's just everytime I spend hours watching tutorials on the Arma editor and even Oxygen, I literally don't have a clue. I'm starting on a fresh model that I created and animated, but I just get so confused and try to start from the beginning again.
