  2. About spawning, it would be really amazing if you could have extended options for respawn. For example, it'd be cool for an MSO if I could make it so people stay dead and won't respawn until everybody else is dead or disconnected. This would make it like going out into a mission, except the world is persistent and all that.
  3. I did create a private report on the feedback tracker, so I'm just waiting for BI's reply now. It may or may not be possible to just sit there and never see the enemies and it will crash. I think I once tried that and it didn't crash in 25 minutes, but I'm not sure. Another mission my friend made with a few mods will crash the mission even if you just sit there. That one was made with CAF Aggressors, ARP2, and AiATP (on Zargabad). I'm really grateful you're looking into this. I've enjoyed learning Linux but I'd rather be on a Windows server for familiarity. EDIT: I'd also like to point out that the server does crash with the Escape from Stratis mission, so any mission will crash as long as (I'm mostly sure) there's enemy AI and CBA is running on either the client or server (or both)

    Hey, just thought I'd quote for visibility. I hope this can help other linux admins, though I'm new to linux servers so I don't know if maybe I just missed something obvious. I did put acre_key_config.ini into /arma3/userconfig/acre2, but I don't know if I missed anything else. it just won't key the radios when we're playing, but directional talk works. we've tried dropping the radios and picking them back up, restarting teamspeak and the plugin, just can't communicate with radios.

  6. Apologies for the double post, but if this can be analyzed by anyone I think it might be of some importance. I won't ask for help or anything like that after this, because I guess I really am asking for too much. But I completely installed a clean version of Windows Server 2012 on my server and the crash is still occuring with only CBA running. I made a private ticket on the Arma 3 feedback tracker for BI, but after searching around the other tickets they're asking people to remove all the mods running to see if it still crashes. It seems they don't care about mods, just game itself. In case they decide not to acknowledge my ticket for the reasons above, I decided to look a bit further into my problem to report back here. It seems that something about engaging enemy AI combined with CBA is causing the server to crash. Again, this happened on two different Windows installs with clean versions of the game. I've concluded this because I tried running missions with no enemies and they did not crash. If CBA is running and a mission with enemies is loaded, the server will crash. If I can't get my current issue with the Linux server resolved, I will likely quit Arma for a few months and check back at every CBA or game update. It's the only thing I can do.     ACRE2 Public Beta Release

    When I try to play on my linux server, ACRE2 works in direct talk, but nobody can PTT their radios. Works fine in the Windows server, except that one is crashing, so we're forced to use linux right now. Any ideas on why this might be happening? I see intialization and "ACRE Data Sync" messages in the terminal, so any ideas why the radios might not be working?
  8. I've decided it's the windows server itself that's the problem and will attempt to either reboot or reinstall it later today, unless I can get a linux server running (getting close)
  9. Hello. Due to problems with the current windows server, I decided to switch to Linux in order to run my Arma 3 server. I have the whole vanilla setup done, but obviously I need mods to run. There are a couple of issues, however: Can I create and manage a SIX mod repository like in Windows? Specifically, using SixUpdater, its repo manager allowed me to select mods that are not in the webspace so that the users could download it directly from SIX's servers and not from mine. Can I do that within Linux? Also, I want to be able to update my mods from SIX's servers like with PwS or SU, but on Linux. I have a lot of mods running and I don't want to be checking every single one individually. I know there's a Linux command line version of SixUpdater, but it seems old and the documentation seems incomplete. I might be able to figure it out, but I wanted to know if these things are possible and how to do them, if that's not too much to ask. Thank you
  10. I'm back with more information about my issues. I've just tried to run the server without TADST. I thought that TADST was causing the crash, but it seems to be something within the server configuration combined with CBA. I was completely dismayed when I saw that the server crashed after I set up a separate configuration through a .bat file. Here's the RPT from that crash. I hope someone more knowledgeable can help me get closer to fixing this horrible issue, because at this point I'm close to giving up on arma for a while. http://pastebin.com/QqZSwptL This RPT contains no mods running, but CBA was running on the client machine that connected to the server. It crashed, as usual, a few minutes into the mission. Here's another with CBA running through TADST, and CBA was also running on the client machine.   11. Here is an RPT without any mods running. I have determined that it is not TADST that is causing this error. There is some parameter or set of parameters in the server config that seems to be causing it. I thought I would just give up on TADST and run the server through a batch file, but I just tried a vanilla mission on it with no mods running, but with CBA running on my client machine, and it still crashed the server.   12. My group and I have been trying to get back into Arma 3 after the summer's hiatus. Problem is, something keeps crashing the dedicated server. I don't know if it's a mission script, a mod, or if it's just the current version of the server. I don't know at all. I have a number of mods running, but a bunch of them have been throwing sound errors ever since one of the more recent updates, so I've removed them for now. I don't know what else to do, but I'd like to know how I can figure out what exactly caused the server to crash. That would save me a lot of time. Sometimes the server crashes immediately, and it seems like it had something to do with ACRE2, so we tried running the mission without that. It still crashed, but it took about 5 minutes. We were on Zargabad using AiATP. I just don't know what's going on or what to do with it, other than removing most of the mods that are causing sound errors. But now we're back to almost vanilla except for some extra weapons.
  13. I am aware that they are causing crashes, but we've tried running other mods and even no mods and the server never crashed.   14. Okay. I am having a very strange problem and I'd like to know if any of you can tell me what might be going on. I've been running my server with TADST since it came out for Arma 3. Fantastic program, love using it instead of the command line/bat file. Recently my group and I came out of hiatus and we wanted to play again. But now, the server crashes every time a few minutes into the mission. No known cause for a couple weeks until I find out CBA_A3 seems to be doing it. This seems to happen whether or not it's running on the server, but if a client runs it, it crashes the server. It also crashes if it's running on the server itself ("Arma 3 has stopped running" error). So why am I here? Because I've found that I can run the server without TADST and it won't crash. Yet, even if I deselect all the mods in TADST and launch it through the program, it will inevitably crash if a client is running CBA, even if CBA is the only mod running on the client. And vice versa; if a client is running no mods, but the server is running CBA and nothing else, it will still crash the server. So some part of TADST + CBA is crashing the server, on every mission, every time. Even a mission that BIS made will crash. All of this is still happening after wiping Arma 3 from the server and all the mods, as well as all of TADST's configuration and starting completely anew. I'd really love some help here. If all else fails I'll just use the bat file again, but I like TADST and I'd like to find out why it + CBA are causing my server to crash.   15. CBA_A3 is causing my server to crash. I'm running the latest version and have tested with no other mods running. If I run CBA on the server with the clients running nothing, the server crashes a few minutes into the mission. If the clients run CBA without it running on the server, the server crashes in the same way. If both the clients and the server are running CBA, the server will crash in the same fashion. I can run AllinArma Terrain Pack without CBA and the server will not crash. I have three people I am testing this with and we have tested with different people playing the mission, with other mods, without, all kinds of combinations of people running the mod and others not, the server still crashes with CBA running in any way, shape, or form. I have no idea what to do. I am at the end of my rope. Here is some log files from an earlier crash. I'm wondering if anyone knows why TADST and CBA_A3 might be causing the server to crash like this. I tried running the server without TADST, but with CBA on the client and it was fine.
  16. I've just finished some testing. It seems other people running CBA_A3 is causing the server to crash. So I can run it on the server okay, but other people running it are crashing the server. Does anyone know anything about this?
  17. It crashes causing the executable to close. It gives the generic "Arma 3 Server has stopped working" dialog with the option to close the program or to look for solutions. I think it says something about @us_helos_kimi and then says something about a fault, but if you guys can show me how to determine exactly what caused the crash, that would help me a lot. I'm just learning about reading the RPT file and it has already shown me a few useful things.

Sorry for double-post, but can confirm, after today's hotfix I am STILL having the memory leak issue; after one and a half hours of playing my game slows to 3 FPS and I am FORCED to close the game via task manager. if anyone knows any kind of fix that would be EXTREMELY appreciated. this problem is INFURIATING. EDIT: Could one of my startup parameters have something to do with it? -cpucount=4 -exthreads=7 -maxmem=4096 -world=empty -nosplash -nointro -nopause -high -nobenchmark -nologs -nofilepatching

    Hello Is this still being worked on? I really like this mod, but I hate seeing errors and I'm still getting a ladders error whenever I try to run it. I don't know what's going on but it's been almost a month since the last post.
  21. Hello, it seems I'm getting this error even on Stratis. No other mods are running, no idea what's going on. Is this normal right now? EDIT: Sorry, I was running other mods, just not on the mission itself. I'll keep testing.

    Hey, quick question Some people in my group are getting pipe errors over and over again, their ACRE2 keeps connecting and disconnecting. Could this crash the server? It seems to crash immediately on mission start
  23. hey guys. I assume ALiVE is gonna get an update for AiATP? I tried making a mission for Zargabad and the CQB module (only thing I tried so far) threw an error about ladder classes. no other mods were running in the mission.

  25. I hope so. Singleplayer is 100000% worthless to me so I'd like to know if this is happening to people in multiplayer and not just me, and if there's a fix being staged in the dev branch. A few months ago I was playing just fine for 3+ hours.
