Best GPU? GTX-1080. According to benchmarks it surpasses everything currently in terms of GPU, even on Arma 3 hitting 69-79 FPS.

probably just a large number of tweaks and fixes to the environment. (Got an error for VTOL_base_f.scope) -
Spatial Awareness Improvements
CaptainAzimuth replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I haven't noticed any issues thus far with either of the new items. The Radar works as intended for me, however, sometimes team mates can't see the Tactical Ping. Other than that, seems well. Though, as RobertHammer Suggested perhaps a bit of darkening to the background of the radar, and maybe an option to toggle it on and off in game (hot key) Otherwise seems pretty solid. -

Hehe, good point. I'll stick to the military stuff for now then. Guess ill have to wait till tomorrow to ask BI for more context behind their VIVT (Vehicle in Vehicle Transport) -
Well, the description on the Apex page states "fitting vehicle, inside larger vehicle", implying it's not specific for the VTOL, at least based on context, but we all know how far context goes when paired with perspective. Really got my fingers crossed for a seamless experience, player wise. Since the AI can do it too, it's anyone's guess at this point.

bringing up an interesting question, curious as to why the jeep was the single only civ land vehicle. Sure more could be added later, but i mean the jeep can only look different in so many ways, it's still a jeep. The entire habitants of Tanoa likely won't only be driving a jeep. I wouldn't mind seeing the Land-rover making a refurbished return, with maybe a more modern look of course, and perhaps something to challenge to Hatchback sport? The only thing that comes to mind in a gritty environment like Tanoa... Rally Car. -
Welp, looks like i happened to pull a muscle in my back, so it also happens to look like i'm staying home for physical related injuries, and completely has nothing to do with Arma 3 also revealing some possible game-play of the new assets and revealing the Release date of Apex. ;)

I couldn't contain myself when i read this. Gold. On another note, the locked doors are fine. You can't go through them, and it's by design. However, i believe the buildings that are enter-able, like the warehouse blue, should have their garage doors enabled like other garages do. But if a building has locked doors, which behind nothing is modeled, there's no point to ask BI to make them interactive, which would require BI to model more interiors, which would in tern effect the current awesome performance, in a negative way. -
Arma 3 Cut content in APEX? please :(
CaptainAzimuth replied to veles-zv's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
If there's any "cut" content i want to see make an appearance in Apex, it would be the shotguns, XM-25, and the other variants of APC's like the Nemo AMV, and HQ AMV. But it would have to show up free for all, respectfully. The shotgun can go to the Ex-Paramilitary faction in Apex as well as the FIA, after all, shotguns like that are easy to obtain. NATO of course would get the KT-Shotgun. But to be honest, i'd rather BI spend that little extra time they have making new fitting content rather than refurbishing old ones, at least at this point Perhaps they can do that in a future update as sort of a "reinforcement pack" like they did with the AAF. -
Given were 1/3rd through the month already, i would say yes. Monday or Tuesday we should some other part of Apex, whether it's Weapons, Vehicles or Factions, it's anyone's guess at this point.

Well it is called............................................... Speculations, after all... Otherwise there's not reason for the thread period because that's what the Developement Reveals and Discussion thread is for.

Meanwhile, shipping a heli around Tanoa. No but yeah, the lack of Naval assets sucks, because there's some really bad ass designs that look modern they can use. Fingers crossed for after the storm on June 30th.

I agree. I know the terrain is good off-road when one of my team mates bitches about how he breaks his quad-bike and vehicles while trying to go full speed off road carelessly. Will do. ;) -

I like the idea of sea dangers, but people don't swim THAT much, unfortunately, so i was hoping for danger on land... Of course, a bit more realistic and fitting than a Raptor, of course. XD -

I'm actually quite disappointed that some of the Garage's aren't openable. Like this one. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/255957580512567113/1315605BB5E3097EFA8A120633262FBBDD2875B2/ Where as a handful of other garages are openable, but are placed to where use of the garage would be less ideal. Could you perhaps make the doors on these openable as well, based on it's value for gameplay.? -
i guess. -.-

BI, thank you for Tanoa, i have to admit you guys completely out shined every other piece of work you've ever done. Tanoa is truly a master piece, and ever so much, I feel like it can't be out matched by any other jungle map in any other game. It's going to be damned hard to create a map just as good, or better than this one in the future in that case, but good on ya. The environment is epic. -
The map is unquestionably the best Bohemia Interactive has ever made, i can say that confidently. I don't they'll be able to make one better in the future. But it's perfect for what is the definition of combined arms. We're already getting In vehicle transportation now, possibly in vehicle supply transportation too, but that's to be seen. So i'm just curious as to why they didn't, at least to your current knowledge, undertake making the water far more important than it is now? Which currently, the water's got visual upgrade, yes. but what about strategic importance to gameplay? This is important. I've played the map, and have learned the hard way that the Jungle is no place, even for small cars, and Bohemia has provided this aspect into their map extraordinarily well. It was extremely hard to drive through, and is a waste of time, strategically. That being said, the water becomes ALL the more important, in every way. Transportation, or Attack. Yes sure, we have one gun boat, and were getting basically the same thing capability wise as the Speedboat, which is the RHIB. Water scooter is fine, but that's probably not gonna go any faster than the rest, but provides basically a quad-bike for the water ways. But hey, i guess i'm being far too hopeful here, but i just think there's such a big game-play opportunity being missed here.
-
This is quite literally what i would have expected them to add to the Expansion. But heck, they barley added much to civs, and basically the uniforms aren't exactly different, but rather re-textures. So i guess i expected too much, despite the map being an Archipelago. I mean, they did fantastic on the map, i can see that now. I'm getting FPS on a packed server that i only get in the editor on Stratis in singe-player. But the lack of some assets does bother me, especially since there hasn't been anything like this in any previous game, despite now having the most fitting environment for such an asset. So, that being said i still have hopes for after Apex release.

ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread
CaptainAzimuth replied to max power's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Predator Mod Basically, animals that want to kill you, for Tanoa, and only spawn in the jungle, and come after you at high speed. Bobcat, Tiger, Lynx, Panther (perhaps this one won't kill you unless you get too close to it) Scary sound when they've spotted you, and bassy sounds for their sprinting to add more terror feeling. -
Hehe, i love it. The environment perfectly fits my play style. I ended up ambushing a convoy of players in wasteland, and then disappearing. Went to some warehouse, some guy ran into it while i was in my inventory, so i ended up firing while retreating and jumped into the ocean and vanished thanks to my survival fatigues.
