No LSV variants with AT, or AA set up, yet those are basically a set requirement for LSV's in lots of nations to be able to have those. not sure how a Prowler/Qilian Titan AA/AT didn't make it into the game. Also, is it intentional that the NATO vehicles (tropic) are just straight up tan like the regular ones? The vehicles should be some kind of green or Tropic similar to the uniform. Also, the Jets didn't make it to each factions? I would have though the To-199 receive the grey scheme and be under CSAT Tropic as well, same with Wipeout. Also, regarding the Vehicle in Vehicle transport, the Huron or Taru receive this feature? As well as is it possible to have other vehicles like the Zamak, HemTT, and Flatbed Trucks receive this tech to transport things like crates, and small vehicles like Quad-bikes, LSV's, maybe even water scooter?
-
Welp, the Syndikat might receive that since their camo pretty much fits the similar texture. Bag is however already in game.

Tanoa Lite - a possibility or a total No-Go?
CaptainAzimuth replied to TrueCruel_Nobody's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Bohemia Interactive chose before they even started working on Apex. There won't be a lite version, ever. However, have you tried Lingor Island? Probably the closest you'll get, and you don't have to go "lite" either. Good news is, if you save up, Apex is still on sale till Jully 11th. You have some time. -
Meanwhile, the UGV's feel neglected even though it can carry a decent load of equipment.

I actually noticed shooting in the jungle seems kinda bland (no tails really making it feel authentic). However i have noticed more noise from bushes as i run trough the jungle.

I'd love to see a jungle in real life with glistering glowing sparkles and sunshine everywhere in real life, but i guess i haven't been that lucky. (sarcasm =P) You go to any forest and you'll find that aside from the occasional sun beam, the majority of the rainforest, jungle, do lay in shade. Of course though, you can also screw up the feel of the map through your settings, but that depends on your PC. -

The MAP in Dev Branch is half broken. You can join a server and have the map work, for example you have locations marked during a certain mission. But if you leave that server and join another, you get an error pertaining to the Map-Line Drawing-permissions, which i'm guessing break the entire Map. Nothing appears on map, no missions, or Points of Intrest. Just, plain map. You can't mark anything on map either, no waypoints, or dots, and ultimately, no lines. Changing game difficulty doesn't do anything either, so i'm guessing this has to do with a toggle for permissions to line draw, which i assume is broken. If true it should prevent only line drawing, not marking on the map as a whole, as well as seeing important events, and markers that are already preset. -

Only if the model of the logistical vehicle is made terribly. If the model is solid, and you can drive into the vehicle, it'd be no different than it is now, at least in terms of functionality. It would work as intended, but just look 100 times better. The whole teleporting thing kills it. The C-17 video, while not the best, is a decent example. I'm sure there's probably better examples out there. As for boats having the VIV, it's not needed, because physics already handles that. You don't need a script the drive a vehicle up onto a flat loading bay on a boat and drive it around, it's already seamlessly possible without a "Load" attachto script. For planes though, that's another story. All in all, i think they should work our the issue with built in Roadway LOD's, because that's an extremely valuable feature to be able to do that. At least part of the tech is now in Vanilla, so why not go all the way? It would make logistics in this game important and a main part of gameplay in most scenarios, which would in tern extent the lifespan of Arma. Heck, i hate to bring other games into it, but Just Cause has this ability oddly enough in almost every single vehicle, despite it's arcade mess of a play style, the features for vehicle in vehicle interaction is so solid that if it were a military sandbox based around semi-realism, it'd actually be quite amazing. We have a tendency in Arma to pretty much go half way, making things work, but not look good, or not work at all, period.

Disappointed with the VIVT mode. Why is it that we can't drive into the loading bay of the V-44 in order to press load, instead of driving up 10 meters behind it and just magically teleporting inside. This is a big problem, and looks awful. I'm guessing it's done this way due to some issues with LOD's? It would be cool to get some kind of feedback as to why it is the way it is, and if we can have it done in a more intuitive manner.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Also, one issue i'm having, is with i think Resolution of the menu's? I can put my mouse over an icon, and it wont' highlight it. But if i put my cursor above it and to the left a little, i can then select that icon, indicating that something is wrong with the Resolution, yet, it's not visually apparent. -

AK-12 being 7.62 is fine. It's basically a modern AKM. The Spar-17 however, doesn't sound very convincing as a 7.62 weapon. -
Missing Survivalist Fatigues for NATO Tropical and CTRG Tropical

Weapons Sounds The Type 115 sounds = Good Protector 9mm Suppressed = Not Good (sounds too loud suppressed as well as sounding like a 5.56 rifle when suppressed) Ak-12 Sup/Non-Sup = Ok CMR-76 = Best sounding in the game AK-74u = Good CAR-95 = Good Lim-85 = BAD (Sound used for a different 7.62 weapon, thus and does NOT sound fitting of a 5.56 LMG) Spar-16 = BAD (sounds... almost muted? It sounds like i'm shooting out of hollow Bamboo gun, the best way i can describe it, not like an assault rifle) Spar-17 = Not that good (sounds too like hollow bamboo gun, but not as much as the Spar-16) PM-9 = Same as other 9mm's, can't really complain about this one. RPG-7 = Good.
-
Vehicles Sounds Prowler = Good Qilin = BAD (sounds for the Pick-Up Truck reused) MB 4WD = BAD (sounds for the Pick-Up Truck reused) Xi'an = BAD (It sounds like the UAV fan mixed with the weak sound of a jet engine. Given the size and capability of the aircraft, it should sound much more powerful, and due to the combination of fan and jet engine, and based on the size of the fan, it should be a powerful higher toned whine, but the jet engine should sound more apparent, sort of like a turbo prop, but more powerful sounding.) V-44X BlackFish = BAD (same thing as the Xi'an, it sounds like any other heli in the game, and not unique. In fact almost all helicopters sound the exact same during start up, or when running, and this is a major issue with the series) MQ-12 Falcon = BAD (sounds exactly like other NATO heli AH-99, but with smaller rotor's, it should have more of a higher pitched whine, but since the design is to minimize sounds, the volume is good)

Current Dev-Branch and Sneak Peak Branch, there's a map glitch where if a map is running missions that have certain events that are suppose to show up on the map, they don't. You can join the server, and sometimes there will be events on map, but most of the time, you won't see anything on map. Also, going crouched with no weapon and press any direction key will force you to stand. -

BI, Please fix the MX-Pacific series. It's too bright, not green enough. It's super shiny and doesn't really fit with the rest of the camo. Also, i find it odd there's no Survival Fatigues for either CTRG (Pacific) or NATO (Pacific). These need to be fixed. Sniper (jungle) and Ghillie (Jungle) should have leaves, not grass. If you look at a large portion of nations that have ghillie's for jungles, they contain leaves as well. What the ghillie's currently look like, is bright green moss, basically, which doesn't exactly fit into the environment all that well. -
Absolutely not. This is Apex, the final (to our knowledge) milestone of Arma 3 in general. Meaning it should fix pretty much everything wrong. My biggest concern, being the textures and model quality. The new Syndikat clothing are re-textures of existing gear, which to some extent is fine. But what really annoys me still, is the quality of the CSAT uniforms, and how pixelated and old they look even with my objects and textures maxed out. Sure, you're not going to see it from far away, but morally, that doesn't really mean it should be left the way it is.

After testing a number of vehicles and weapons, i can already tell there's a lot of work to be done. Thank goodness this the release date is 11 days into Q3. Hehe, for a second i thought it was turning out to be a whole new game, till i was reassured. Yup. Still Arma.

There's not difference in color scheme for NATO and NATO (Pacific). Completely the same tan stuff. Secondly and to my complete and utter disappointment, after opening the ramp of the V-44 Blackfish, and preparing for complete epicness of driving the Prowler LSV inside............................. it warped straight through the ramp an ran into the back of the plane... I... I can't even. Didn't know what i expected.
