Well, firstly, the only reason Canada has a defensive stance on Russia is due to the US. For you to call our current leader a Terrorist is honestly quite sad. He's never terrorized anyone, and this only proves my thoughts on the term "terrorism" being far to easy to place on people for easier political manipulation. Canada wants closer relation with Russia, but the US won't let that happen, obviously, it would have major effects on our diplomatic situation here in North America AND in Europe. Your first statement also proves you simply don't know, or refuse to recognize the political history behind Canada and US relations. Please, don't comment on this unless you educate yourself. This is also the Syria topic, so lets continue. Trump being on the side of Russia? If you watched the debate, it's clear he flip flopped on that aspect. That or he's just telling people what they want to hear. He's know for doing just that. He boasts about a wall (which won't work), but when he visited Mexico, he avoided all talks regarding it. Then when he returned, he resumed boasting about a wall... So lets say he's elected, and Syria ends up being in his hands to solve. It's going to be a disaster. His policies are simply horrible. Also, i never said stop bombing Daesh (ISIL), i simply stated that the US and Russia have no choice but to work together for this situation to resolve itself. Their Super Power games must not continue, because it's the sole reason for this mess, look at history, it's that bloody simple. It's bright as daylight. No kidding no one wants this mess to continue, but that's also a part of the reason for these terror groups rising, is the US left Iraq early, before getting the job done right. They payed hard for that when they had to send in Special Forces to help retake Mosul Dam as well as keeping a small contingent in the country and also in Syria. It's mental to say "no boots on the ground" because you can't win a war like that, plain and simple. There has to be ground forces to make progress. But right now, at least, before the US and Russia clashed in Aleppo, we were doing good at stopping Daesh. Russia was doing it's part, US was doing it's part, until they collided. This is where the next turning point is. This is where you will begin to see Proxy war turn into possible direct conflicts between their backers. To be honest, it already happened when Turkey shot down a Russian jet, but lets be thankful that Russia is the one with restraint, at least for now. They've already stated that any further Russian forces who are harmed will result in resolute response. I intend not to find out what that entails. Now, none of us can say how many advisers are truly in the country(s), because even if it's stated in paper or media, we honestly don't know. I also highly doubt the numbers are that small. But i do know things won't go well if the US and Russia keep butting heads as they are now. Clinton won't fix this, Trump certainly won't help either. These are facts. Looking at what Clinton has done, it's clear her actions related to the Arab Spring in the middle east in Egypt, Libya, and almost Syria, are sure fire signs she's not going to help the situation. He's the sole purpose terror is spreading in the region, it's like poison. Trump would, possibly, join forces with Russia, but keep in mind, the Obama Administration and the Pentagon are already pissed at each other because the Administration knows the Cease Fire helped the Russians and Syria, which also would allow for them to implement their pact which would have ensured a joint US/Russia anti terror force. This would have been great. But no one knows who attacked the UN convoy, or the 62+ Syrian troops which allowed Daesh to push forward and stop their advance. The Pentagon was furious as hell. So what happens next is anyone's guess. They need to work together and this mess can end sooner. The Longer this goes on, the worse it will get, and quite frankly, i don't think it matters anymore if the US gains influence in Syria at all. It's at that point where people are fed up with the war and it's puppet masters. Oh, and a side note, keep in mind that a global conflict doesn't have to start in the middle of a war zone. There's so much going on that's connected to this war that can kick off at any point in the near or distant future. If you look at Greece and Europe, there are, frighteningly, extreme amounts of radical members forming parties in order to get into government and deal with the Migrant/Refugee crisis there themselves, in less than humane ways. This is also a possible and frightening turn of events that could start a massive conflict in Europe. It doesn't help with the constant Anti-religious manipulation by media.

do be fair, you're not helping that much either. Now the new post just brought more attention to virtually no reveals. Though, that final Dev Blog is a long time coming. Also, i'm pretty sure we'll never see (Vanilla) Naval assets in Arma 3's lifetime. They're pretty much just bug fixing, while i think their resources are being transitioned to DayZ development.

If A4 actually came to fruition, is it even necessary/possible for BIS to use a new modern engine?
CaptainAzimuth replied to spanishsurfer's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I think the next Arma title will have to go more in depth. When you look at the things Enfusion is doing, it brings more interesting possibilities. Though, at the same time, there are core features that made Arma great that i fear will miss out of being in the Enfusion. Diving for example, a big one. While probably a pain to implement in its early stages, it's actually one of the best features the Arma series has had. But what i think BI's biggest downfall, is their bad organization of Engines. Since Arma 2 jumped to TKOH, and then Arma 3, then Dayz ended up using TKOH's engine instead of RV4, but then they're supposedly merging two engines, and then what is Arma 4 gonna run on? If it's missing lots of features Arma 3 had, it's going to be a massive mess, as well as end up being a massive disappointment. It's kinda like what happened to the Battlefield series, when they didn't have full combined arms for a good time being in the series (Bad Company(ies)) and then went back with the 3rd and 4th installations. -

OMG YES!!! Can't wait to test this out! -
Firstly, this is the off topic section. This is in no way, shape, or form related to a Video Game, which people play from time to time as a hobby. Secondly, when did i mention France? Here in Canada, we've got other nations looking at our refugee placement policies, because they work so damned well. Thirdly, If you think no one is dumb enough to start a third World War, you'd be mistaken. You should never underestimate the stupidity of mankind. Hell, look at the two candidates the US population, over 100 million people, selected those two clowns to be their president. On one side, you have a man who doesn't know how to hold a decent conversation because his Ego's probably over shadowing every other thought process. On the other side you have a woman who nearly thinks her being a female is one of the biggest reason she should be president, but doesn't realize a large portion of things she's done in the past have had major negative affects on the country. Not to mention she blabs about Democracy, but undermined it at the same time, which was exposed by Wikileaks. If it takes Wikileaks to leak BS being hidden by career politicians, we got a problem. These are the people who are going to be in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth... Yet those are the same people who will tell you how great Democracy is when i can name you 10 other countries who's Democracies are better than theirs, my own country, is one of them. This isn't some make belief rant. This is real life. But if you can't see it, it's not my problem. You're just another number in my mind, nothing significant. There's more to learn, and a lot more than just your opinion is leaning on this election, and ultimately, the war in Syria. Two Super Powers fighting, along with the worlds biggest religious war in the mix. It's anyone's guess how it will turn out. Everyone's gearing for war. Everyone, and another global conflict can't be ruled out. It has to be prevented, not ignored. It's already looming, and there's more than enough evidence to prove so. As i said before, it will end the day US and Russia end their game they've been playing since the end of WWII/Cold War. None are innocent at this point. Here's an interesting article. http://www.ndtv.com/world-news/americas-bombing-in-syria-last-week-was-no-mistake-heres-why-1466970 Also, regarding Libya, i suggest you got check out the UK Parliament report released that proves alternate motives behind the invasion and destruction of Libya's former government. IT's quite obvious that these actions were never merely an act of glorified spreading of Democracy. If they wanted to improve Democracy, they would probably start at home, where voting fraud is one of the biggest issues.

CaptainAzimuth replied to spanishsurfer's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Arma's Engine is being developed. Just for DayZ for right now as a basis for their Future games. The only thing that i'm concerned about is RV4 features not making it to the newer engine, such as water reflections, advanced stance, Heli AFM, and so on, so fourth. Otherwise, i'm pretty positive about their progress... But yeah, i'm sure there's threads for this already, where people ahve put their 2 cents, and probably even a few dollars in there. -
Note that i said add in years of conflict, with various groups brandishing their influence and strength throughout the region. The FSA today, if even still a group, is far from what it was when it started out. Don't take that out of context. As for you Mr.Glade, you seem to have some sort of grudge. Keep in my, the Cold War elements of this entire situation you appear to think have vanished in history, are quite real, and to deny it is foolish, as this history is still continued unfolding right before us. You learn this stuff in school, because what happens now, is what will be written and learned from. Also to call Russia and the US on the same side, also a bright as day example of how either mis-informed you are, or how blissfully arrogant you are... intentionally. Russia, Iran, Syria, along with Wild-Card China, are working together. The US is completely out of that wheel, and yet, the US is only trying to get closer with Russia now, because they're realized how terrible their policies were when Russia became apart of the equation in their Middle Eastern divide and conquer. Let me remind you, everything i had said were factual events, not baseless rhetoric. Those were observations gathered from years of simply watching the conflict unfold, and observing both sides of the conflict. It's easy as hell the West wanted to Syria what they did to Libya. And you think Russia was in on that? Obviously not. It's also clear that if the US wanted to destroy Daesh, they wouldn't have invaded Libya when they were still a major threat that could've spread into the region. It was either intentional, or a tactical failure of massive proportions. I don't think the US with all it's know how would screw up that bad, leading to the latter. If the US and Russia were together on this, they wouldn't be literally scorching each other at the United Nations council. But they are. Secondly, no one has forgotten about the Refugee crisis. Trust me, i know, as i've supported my country letting them live here for the time being. It's unfortunate the US and Russia have to let this conflict carry on for so long because of their political and influential differences, but that's just what it is... Politics. But as i've stated in my original post, it's something the US and Russia have to work out, obviously, they're responsible for the mess. But burning people with chemicals? I'm not sure who you were trying to offend with that statement, you're just making yourself look bad, honestly. There's a reason the world agreed to move the Chemical weapons out of Syria before this mess happened. You saw what happened when they started using chem weapon reports to try and bring major countries into the conflict. As for everything else you said, it's just rubbish.
-
The FSA isn't a terror group. The FSA are Syrian Citizens that chose to fight their government. This is the root cause of the Syrian Civil War, except it got more complex when Daesh infiltrated their ranks, fast forward a few years with different super powers and regional powers putting in their influences, and things drastically change. This is the source of the Cease Fire. Russia and Kerry wanted to halt the fighting so that the US could figure out who the hell is who, but we can see that didn't work out.

If you released this map with a couple of units, weapons and vehicles, it could literally be considered a new Expansion. That's how good this map looks, it's crazy. -
To be fair this whole thing is a mess. But i think we all know it's a massive cluster of political, ethical, religious, and even Zionist problems. What's the biggest problem i see in this entire situation however? US and Russia. They've always been fighting for some kind of influence over in the Middle East, and this is a clear sign that's is gotten out of hand. Many of you may not know but the US actually gave the go ahead years ago after the Syrian Regime supposedly crossed the Red Line that had been placed by the Obama Administration, that the NAVY could fire it's ballistic missiles into the country and take out nearly 600+ targets. However, suddenly, Russia turned up. The tone changed, and now Russia has been pointed out as being the bad guy. Now, a few years of fighting, US backs rebels, and Russia backs government. Rebels received weapons and aid directly, as well as indirectly. Regime forces receive reforming, training, logistical and technical support, as well as Air Support by the Russian Aerospace Forces. Later Daesh (ISIL) attack Iraqi Kurds. Words idea ever, because it pisses off the Kurds in the entire region as well as the Peshmerga. Kurds start pounding Daesh, and the US backs the Kurds/Peshmerga also. Turkey is on the sidelines with Saudi Arabia, while Iran backs and supports some ground forces fighting against Daesh, and the FSA, who are two rebel groups who ended up mixing in the conflict. Later, Russia reveals Turkey is working with Daesh to gain Oil, and releases satellite Data and other intelligence resources to prove it. Turkey denies, and later releases conflicting reports, one of the most controversial being, "even if i was buying oil from Deash, it wouldn't harm my image". Even further later, Russia starts hitting Oil convoys going into Turkey. Turkey very soon after shoots down Russian jets that reportedly skimmed Turkish airspace for a disputed 13-17 seconds, in which time Turkey claims they warned them multiple times to leave the airspace. The world criticizes Turkey at the same time as holding Emergency meetings with NATO, which conclude later on that Turkey was in the right, and that NATO has their back. Germany soon after withdraws Anti-Air units from Turkey. Sometime later, Russia and Syria start making gains after only months of limited assistance. They eventually regain a substantial amount of ground. more months later, closer to current time, closing in on Aleppo, and various countries are pushing for both no fly zones, as well as cease fires. fast forward to current time frame, a cease fire is negotiated. Israel starts hitting Syria for stray mortars, and eventually, Syrian Anti-Air responds. Both sides claim conflicting reports. Then the US coalition ends up killing 60+ Syrian soldiers while conducting an Air Raid on Daesh. Russia claims the US did it on purpose, while the US claims it was a total mistake. After that, a UN convoy ends up being hit, and no one knows who's responsible. Russia blames the US for crippling the cease fire, meanwhile Turkey and the US criticize Russia for attacking the UN convoy. Behind the lines, somewhere in between the cease fire, a US command center apparently in Aleppo was struck, killing officers from carious NATO member states. As of right now, the situation remains all members pointing fingers at each other for various screw ups, and conflicting interests. In my opinion, there is only one way out of this conflict that wouldn't result in a third world war. That being said, respectively, as US and Russia have been the two most sources of conflict in the Middle East largely fought through proxy influence, it's important these two nations end all of the foolishness, and work together, despite their differences to fight the rebels and bring the country back into Syria command, and yes, this means under control of Assad. Now before you call me crazy, keep in mind that last time we tried toppling the dictator first, didn't work in two other countries, which US and even NATO find it near impossible to gain control of. Once Syria is under control, then the US and Russia form a pact that joints their efforts against Anti-Terrorism no matter what happens. At the United Nations, US and Russia as well as Syria, must now ensure that Assad be tried for war crimes, as well as jointly figuring out who leads Syria after Assad when he's convicted of what ever crimes are found. Both Russia and the US are now bound to work together to fix, restore, and grow Syria back from the ground up, and thus, creating a situation where refugee's and return to help rebuild. This will form the foundations for future efforts against such Proxy wars, and teach the world that the two powers mostly responsible for the radical terror in the Middle East and North Africa have come together to fix the problems they've created, despite their past conflicting efforts. Both countries can invest in Syria, and through those actions and grow their continued efforts to cooperation that could eventually help solve the European problem as well. However, if this is not done, the only other way i can see this going, is a war between Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Russia, NATO, Jordan, Israel, NATO, as well as Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and China as a wildcard. This would be one of th ugliest conflicts man has ever seen, and we may now life to tell the tail. It's getting to that point where without dialogue, and cooperation, conflicting proxy conflicts are becoming more direct. A more direct conflict will lead to a full blown conventional war, which will eventually turn into a tactical nuclear, and then total nuclear war. This is my observation. Take it with a grain of salt.

AI Driving - Feedback topic
CaptainAzimuth replied to klamacz's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
The new AI collision avoidance is actually interesting, a great step in the right direction ,but still needs work. I've witnessed the AI driving in the middle of the road towards each other, and when close, avoid hitting each other and continue driving. Only problem is, the margin of avoidance is too small. They actually graze each other, probably near enough to do slight damage to the wheels and hull, but not total damage or disabled. Maybe just a little bit more out of the way, and hold that avoidance time a little longer would be prefect. -

Interesting testing. I almost felt the same having looked at them quickly, but i still felt the Huron could at least get on LSV in there with modification to the interior model. Though, even with that being a possible no-go, i'm still interested in other means of VVT, like wise, trucks, ATV's, Boats, or small cars, LSV's in the back of HEMTT's or Zamak's/Tempest, so on so fourth. -
just some food for thought. The Twin towers were designed in a way so that if they needed to have them collapsed (because, lets face it, eventually, infrastructure has to come down at some point), they would fall directly down. They had this design in the top that distributed the weight evenly even if things were off balance, for instance one pillar taking too much weight then the other. So if they wanted to make it look like an accident, it's easy as hell, because it's already designed to do just enough damage so that they don't have to do excessive cleaning and repairs to the surrounding areas. Still doesn't explain building 7, but i believe that the truth is mixed in the lie in order for the lie to look like the truth, and easier for "conspiracies" to be placed on people who obviously don't wear tin foil hats. But lets assume that they couldn't put explosives on all the floors and what not, it would still take demolition to take down a building that massive, regardless. Do you know how tall the damn thing was? For the pillars to have crushed into chunks has to be demolition. The jet fuel couldn't melt the entire length of the building, and we know it didn't. The weight of the collapsing building would have left the pillars floating, which only a few near the bottom did. To have it all go down dramatically, you need explosives. Also, is it a coincidence that passports and such were found near by, and literally still readable? If jet fuel did melt something, you reckon it would melt the damned passports too, which were likely in the pilots seat with the terrorists, no? You reckon they tossed em out the bloody window before impact? Hahaha, i think NOT. Also, if you want to really throw the cake out the window, just keep in mind that this isn't impossible. It's easy as hell for a country that spends 600 Billion a year on defense to rig two massive tower's (with a side meal of tower 7), to crumble down as they were designed to when the time came, and make it look like an "accident". Let's not forget, that Terrorism was created under Political conditions and it remains this way today. If you look at what's going on in Syria, it's as obvious as daylight. IS it really about toppling a dictator? Think about this logically. Look how well that's gone in two other countries. But, keep an open mind. You need it.
-
Pretty sure what happened was they had the buildings rigged so that if they get damaged, they didn't have to all the way to the top floors to repair it. All they had to do was demo it, and they didn't have to do work so high in the sky. This is not serious. On a serious note though, It's highly likely it was staged. Think about it this way. If you want to go to war, and the people are heavily against it, what do you do to get the people behind you without question? You make them mad. You unite them, and fill them with an urgent sense of revenge. Then you give them a valiant speech and rush into battle. Not saying this is what happened, i'm saying it's a possible outcome. I don't know how they got there, only that it happened. I'm also unaware of what the US Economy was like prior to the events, and what the motive was behind going to the middle east anyways, aside from just the guise of taking out another dictator. What blows my mind behind that analogy, is that if you're claiming to topple a dictator and place freedom and democracy in it's place, not only the people of that nation have to be behind the idea, but you have to take into account the nations around it, as well as the aftermath, and who you'll put in power after the topple. But what's not shocking is that they replaced the government and it's still an extremely unstable nation. What is shocking is that Bush had told Sadam to leave before they got there... why? Why not just take him out without giving him a personal chance to get out. Secondly, if it were about democracy, you'd imagine that such values would be upheld at home right? Well, it's not exactly that way anymore. On another note, @Cosmic, you're correct about the information thing. In the 21st century, it's no longer really a physical conflict, ever since the 2000s it's shifted to war on information. This is one of the most devastating wars, given the fact it leaves everyone divided and doubtful, and knowledgeable, except for those who are capable of putting complex puzzles together. It becomes a real challenge to present the truth to the masses, who are already confused by all the conflicting reports, stories, and most effectively, opinions, which people pick, pull and chooses sides between. Such is the reason why it's still unclear, as 9/11 is the biggest unsolved case in human history, really, and it's important still, because that single event is likely responsible for this entire war on terrorism mess we're in leading up to the immigration crisis, and proxy wars waging and spreading in the middle east into Europe and North Africa.

But the AK-12 isn't THAT shiny. It's got some shiny parts, but it's actually pretty balanced in my opinion. The MX-Black is the real overly shiny weapon. However, if anything need's fixing, it's the Iron-sights on the Spar-16. It's like going from Crysis when the gun is lowered, but suddenly it's Minecraft when looking through them. -

Working train like in BF1, but for Tanoa's continuous train track throughout the map that you can travel in either direction on. Seats for plenty of players and Ai for CTI missions, or groups of players. Possibility of an armored variant. -
I would root for either of them, and then have the winner impeached. This seems the most logical if we can't end up with the Indep. or Green candidates. I don't want to build walls that don't solve problems, and i don't think i'm interested in another 8 years of continued NATO vs. Russia tensions with a side of Middle East/North Africa spill over of proxy factions. These people seem to create more problems then they can solve, and even in there policies and rhetoric.
-
Though, they're still not trapped. They could vote for Gary or Stein regardless if it takes votes, because let's face it, they already believe either are going to win anyway. They could merely surprise themselves by choosing one of the other two candidates with the possibility of them making it. On another note, though, i think the ONLY way this well get sorted is if either both Trump and Clinton are arrested, or if one wins and is then impeached. However there's still the problem of their administration still being a thing as apposed to another candidate entirely and their administration. I think that if Clinton won she'd be Impeached anyway for legitimate cause. Trump... probably because he'd do something absolutely dumb.
-
What is that? As far as i'm concerned, i'm not surprised by either Clinton or Trump anymore. I've seen enough evidence in the past few months to disqualify them from gaining presidency, if not throw both of them behind bars, but yet the reality show continues with both candidates revealing literal illegal activity of the other, meanwhile there are 2 other candidates, (Independent and Green) who are probably well off the best two options for the presidency right now. It's actually the most bizarre thing I've seen or probably will see in my lifetime. I'm just waiting to see what happens. It's out of my hands, but seeing two people who show such dangerous tendencies as politicians being the most popular is a sheer sign that a lot of people in Washington aren't doing their jobs.

The US Army Is Working On A Real-Life Hoverbike

The idea was originally for civilian use, by a couple inventors from i think Australia or something, in which point the US Army had gained interest, and of course jumped to the idea. So well, it's gone from the Consumer Market straight to Defense. But i heard that it would be used for things like Search and Rescue, as well as various other applications. However, you're right on a lot of things, but i wonder if they can develop a Quad-copter that's capable of implementing all the things you mentioned it lacks. -
Question, how come the chase planes have epic sounding engine sounds? Is the Growler going to receive similar Engine sounds or stick with the ones used with the Buzzard?
