    United States Air Force

    I dream of one day starting an initiative that will basically mod all branches of the US Armed Forces into the game and put them under one umbrella called Project: US Armed Forces. I was inspired by this mod, having a team each for the different branches - a team working on USAF, a team for the Army, etc. This mod, NB USMC + 2 extra teams for Army and Navy would collaborate and share sources to create the whole project a reality. I mean, who wouldnt want to be able to just download a mod that will add content of atleast one of the services, instead of downloading 20-30+ mods to get just the weaponry and vehicles of the Army?

    A3A (Arma 3 Actual)

    I had the same idea while ago, started researching and do little changes/tweaks here and there, but then I realised it was a bit too ambitious for starters. The amount of work there is ahead of you is heaps, not to mention creating new content - using oxygen, making some nice skins for them in photoshop, etc. Plus not having extra pair of hands to help just makes it even more burdening. You'd have to bee really keen and dedicated to get this done up to a high standard of quality. Then again if you actually enjoy doing it and its a hobby of yours (like gaming is to all of us) then you'd certainly be up for it. Id certainly keep an eye on the development of this mod.   6. Just wondering if there are any Up-to-date AiA CTI/warfare servers for A3? I miss the old days of playing Benny's Warfare in A2 and would like to re-live that experience in A3. :D

    Ah.. so those attractive tac vests on what I thought were tank crews were actually Air Force ground crew? If so would you consider doing the same with Navy camo for carrier crews?

  12. You guys really do take development to the next level. So far the Swedes are probably the most equipped nation in A3 with this mod. Time to try the new update!

    Next time you take screenshots, dial up the graphics settings and it'll be more eyecandy-ing. :) Out of curiosity, whats the point of a Rifleman (SMG) class? And those purple vests for the tankie's look rather.. attractive. :D

    Id be happy to assist you in getting an A3 version done, could try multiple mods out and make suitable templates of British SF soldiers. I like making custom loadouts for infantry in A3 with the new modular inventory system - lots of possibilities. One thing that might limit diversity is that most of the mods available currently are reskins of vanilla content, great ones albeit. Started playing a bit of the campaign. Enjoying it so far, tho Ive noticed a few issues here and there some netpicky. I did notice there was a line of voice acting missing during the SIS lady talking after killhouse. Look forward to playing more of this in my spare time!

    Up-to-date AiA CTI/warfare server?

    Nothing special really.. Just Benny Warfare from A2. Otherwise if anyone has worked on an A3 version of Warfare/CTI that supports AiA then that would be great but quick google searches revealed none' date=' so might just stick to A2 Benny Warfare. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11031 IIRC there is a 2.073 but its hidden somewhere in the net.     ASDG Joint Rails

    I believe with those 2 mods they have integrated native ASDG JR support. So additional config.pbo's arent required anymore, just run the mod + ASDG JR.
  17. Just curious amongst all the new content added in are there any stuff related to the Mobile Riverine Force? After bumping into this pic yesterday: I was fascinated at how the force operated on rivers with mobile improvised bases. Some even operated off a mothership which has heaps of monitors tied to it ready for dispatch. http://www.history.army.mil/books/Vietnam/riverine/images-full/f8.jpg (584 kB) Id love to see us be able to build floating bases in A2 with Unsung mod. Would certainly give a new aspect of riverine warfare. :)

    Re: A3 mods, you wont get exact models as what the British use, but you will get very similar if not exact equivalents from other nation's SF or just a different designation of the gun. L119 = C8, can be had from CAF, otherwise M4A1's would do wonders, which there are plenty of quality mods for. The Mk18 is another good option. L115A3's, one in this pack and an L96 here. L128 = Benelli M4, great pack here All in all, an A3 port is feasible and would fair pretty well with current A3 mods. Of course if these mods arent to your liking, you can always run AiA + original A2 mods (just as long as A3modelsdisabled.pbo is present in AiA) and run it as how it is in A2. Downloading campaign through PwS now. :)

    I was going to do the same trying your campaign. The method I thought of would be to run AiA (preferably SA version) with A3modelsdisabled.pbo (enables A2 models) since this is run with A2 mods and see how the campaign fairs with the beauty of the new engine and more fluid soldier movements. If you're looking at porting this over to A3 then of course you'd need to use A3 mods (which there are plenty of that will suit this campaign) and swap out A2 objects for A3 equivalents. Script wise I reckon should be fine, just as long as the classnames of objects and/or units are adjusted to new ones.

    Lookin great.. Cant wait to play them! Just wondering will a RAAF reskin of the A variant be possible after release by people outside the modding team? Similarly Im sure some would like a RAF Reskin for the B variant too. :)
