My own suggestions regarding this, - AV_IndUS Army units should be A2's US Army replacement, leaving the marines with 2 types of camo available like what ACE mod did. - The Force Recon units can be replaced by the MARSOC's. - US Army Delta's can be replaced with these 75th Rangers. - CDF could perhaps be replaced with the AAF? In both their default "woodland" camo and this desert camo pack (same deal as with ACE Marines, 2 different camo's available for use). - Russians should be replaced by these, and the above mentioned Spetsnaz units replacing A2's Spetsnaz. - Default OPFOR Force replacing the Takistan Regime. - Perhaps Italian SF replacing A2's German SF? Just thought since Italy is closer to the area of conflict in which A3 is based on, they would be operating in the conflict instead of far-away Germany. - There are UN forces and PMC-style units in the African Conflict pack, and some more awesome PMC in Pomigit's pack. Just about replaced every A2 faction. :) -

Hi mate, really keen to try out the new beta version of Pw6 but Im unsure on how to get the latest beta version. Im stuck on 1.3 and the auto-updater doesnt seem to work. How would I be able to update? Nevermind, didnt realise its a portable version now. Looking really nice! -

No problems mate. I was never too keen on Pw6 until I recently found out that there arent really any other easier options to launch A3 mods with. Its actually a pretty decent launcher for BIS games, although for Arma 2 I still prefer to use SpiritedMachine's simple-and-easy launcher. Would recommend this to anyone. -

Yes, it does. It always matches the users mod files with whats on their server, even the mod folder name - if a mod's folder name is not the same as on their server, it will not detect it. So if one would like to run a custom version of a mod, create a new mod folder with a different name and add that to the Pw6 mod set. -

Looking around for a method to add flares to an aircraft that doesnt have it. Have tried this addweapon "FlareLauncher"; this addmagazine "FlareLauncherMag"; to no avail. Any clues to how I can go about doing this?

This was an idea I came up with a while ago, and Ive spent sometime thinking and planning it out. Now I want to know what the community thinks about it. Basically it is a campaign/coop that's based on this absolutely amazing piece of work posted by survivorluz: a fictitious map of the Green Sea region, involving many user-made maps available to the community. http://213.239.196.115/tobpublic/armaftp/CZ75/Bilder/lz_greensearegion.png (1421 kB) War on Chemicals Takistan is flourishing with military might in the region. Its government, rather a nasty one, has decided to stir things up and attempts to expand its territories invading and annexing multiple regions and countries bordering it. However, they have not been playing it nicely. Use of chemical weapons have been reported, and evidence of the usage is wide-spreading over the media - innocent civilians being the victims of brutal gas attacks and violent soldier acts. Its come to the UN's attention that this is a major issue and many nations are condemning the acts. Attempts were made to sort this issue out peacefully however Takistan has ignored and turned down all of them, leading to a last resort decision. Stopping it with military force. Multiple nations have contributed forces to the cause and the legend of ISAF is again revived. Some of the features Id like to see: - utilizing almost all available Arma 2 stock and user-made maps (as on the map) - utilizing multiple mods depicting armed forces of various countries - dividing the area of operation into multiple sectors with a nation/nations assigned to it. - many different forms of missions, from amphibious assaults to air assaults. Special ops and support ops, or a commander of forces. Of course, with such a big campaign and the amount of work to be done, there will be many issues. What are your thoughts?

Thanks boys, the textures work fine now. I instead have another issue that the skins for the .p3d are not pointing to the proper directories. Using texview2 to convert it to .tga and back to .paa seems to be the best solution for now. Cheers. -

Looks and sounds very exciting. Just curious tho, what does this mod aim to achieve? What is its main objective? Is it an entire module overhauling the whole game like ACE or just a mod adding new features to the game? Are we able to use this alongside other modules like AAW and FDF? Certainly cant wait till my download finishes, thanks very much for the release guys. -

A small issue with the RAAF skin: there's a US Air Force logo on its left wing. Another thing that these aircraft have always bugged me about are the keyboard shortcuts for afterburners, tailhook down, etc. Perhaps a separate config can be made to remove these? Great update anyways, thanks guys. -
