Didnt say it was more recent. The BDU dates back to then however the DCU is more recent than that - it was developed after the Desert Shield/Storm to replace the chocolate chips camo. Although retired in the Army, Marines and USAF, Navy and Coast Guard still use them because they're actually good camo's unlike UCP. I read once that the US Army was considering bringing back the BDU to replace ACU's, amongst other contenders. If you really want to go with a modern feel then I think US4CES would be the way to go.

That would be one of the best things to happen to Opfor - rarely does CSAT get much love these days understandably lol. -

I can see that both mods complementing each other quite nicely to enhance the Arma 3 experience - apart from new medical systems which both mods implement in which case either or will have to be used in-game. AGM additions like backblast, wind deflection, weapon resting, FCS for vehicles, jumping, map tools and adjustable NVGs makes the game more realistic and immersive while CSE adds another layer to that with enhanced logistics, command and control, enhanced interaction with the world and people, new gadgets and gizmo's (Trackers, tablets etc) + what looks like a superior medical system (not sure as Im not a medic and havent tried both medical systems). So both mods really have the potential to gel together nicely and make one heck of an immersive experience out of A3. :) -
Nice midnight post. :D Really keen to try out the update mate. I hope GL variants are amongst new ones coming! The Aussie SOTG A2 units would look great with these rifles. Do you have any plans to port them over sometime in the future?

Thats the thing tho I just found out AiA isnt even loaded, even tho its in my Pw6 collection that I run. This is something to put forward to Sickboy. -
Cant even tell any major differences by looks so its up to you. BDUs and DCUs would be the way to go, and I understand that you're representing a modern US Army. yeah thats a good suggestion actually. Kae_sz mod has Russian voices and so does Sud's Russians and EVW mod. Could get a hold of them for the voices. :) -

Im trying to load PMCs 51km^2 desert map, and one of the requirements-@ags_ports pops up a window every start up saying addon missing CAWeapons. Is this something to worry about? -

And to add.. -design the base better to uniquely suit each map instead of only copy pasting it across the 3 current versions. -as far as I know, insurgency is a gamemode of the destruction of insurgent cache weapons spread across the map unlike the layout you have now where there's multiple different objectives. -some civilians spawning here and there would be great too - have a look at TPW scripts, they are great for ambiance.

I actually like the small team design - just thought that if someone would like to put this onto their server they might want the mission to accommodate more players.

The bottom one in that pic is an MP5K with a stock yeah? Would be a cool addition to the gun if you'd consider modeling the stock. :) -
The first insurgency mission released in a while. Good stuff mate. This is designed for a small team yeah? I see on armaholic its for 8 players. Any chance another version with more players be made? Look forward to seeing ported versions to other maps!

Why not both with a randomization script? I personally think ACH's are more suited for standard infantry while ECH for SF.

You could use M939 trucks alongside the HEMTTs for a lighter-duty truck available here. What ACE had in A2 was great - had M2 MG variants and open tops..

MTVRs arent used by the Army - only by the Marines and Navy. They use the HEMTTs (already in game) and the FMTVs (replacing M939 trucks).

Camo's look very good. Im impressed! I like how you've textured all the soldier's equipment uniformly - as in vest, uniform and backpack all in ACU. Makes them look more neat instead of having Ranger Green vests, Tan backpacks (no offense SF, I still love you guys) :) Would you mind adding in retextures of Kerry's vest and Assault pack? I sometimes like to use NATO platecarriers without the mag drop pouches and his backpack looks cooler than normal Assault packs (without the Kerry nameplate ofcourse).
