    Before there was Arma...

    This is something I'm torn about on ArmA 3. I like Stratis as a smaller ArmA map, but I'm not a huge fan of Altis. I wouldnt say its boring, though. Its got swamps, salt flats, semi-urban areas, airports, peninsulas, etc. that all provide for potentially interesting gameplay. However, to be brief, the map is just too damn big. I mean I cant imagine ever actually becoming fully familiar with it. Hell, there are still parts of Chernarus and Sahrani I dont know well. While a 270km^2 map is great and shows how far videogame technology has come, I just dont think its necessary or plausible. Back on topic, I played Infiltration recently after reading about it and enjoyed what I played. the fact that its got completely user-made features that ArmA cant even get proper is impressive as well.   3. Hi, I've gotten a basic understanding of texturing and config-work. I'm now interested in using 3D models form other games or software to create addons in ArmA 3. If someone can provide me with a basic idea of where to get started, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    You can use it any mission, but the mod I linked improves the quality very much and makes it look like it is supposed to.

    I'm planning on making the patches part of the texture and using a dialog to allow the user to switch patches in-game (which would switch uniforms). Also, the patches are going to be real patches that I've found/received, and I'm always willing to at least try requests.

  11. Yeah I've found the texture and looked through the config in-game. I'm not sure how to change it.
  12. Just thought I'd let you guys know, while using the AT_Satchel mod with TeTeT's Nimitz port, I tried to place a satchel on the carrier. It spawned high up in the air above me. My best guess is that this is some issue based on getting the position of the player, maybe an issue that could be solved by getposATL/getposASL if it isnt already used.

    Why BIS changed it at all is beyond me. I'd recommend a support ticket be made as I feel as though its simply a few edits to config files to return it to its original.

    the character just turns their upper body whenever you aim around with alt. I would switch from sitting in the seat to the animation in st_lb_enhance using an addaction and use a CBA Keyhandler to end it since you cant use actions when attached (which is another awful limitation of that command)

    st_lb_enhance didnt work around aiming in any way. You had to aim and hold ALT and you could look around in an 180 degree area to your front and hit A and D to shift to the left and right. In ArmA 3, you can still do this but for some reason the area you can "free-aim" around is reduced to like 45 degrees and the sensitivity is randomly increased exponentially. If BIS will fix the free-aim, this could be done much easier. For reference, here is some work I did in ArmA 2 ACE using st_lb_enhance
