    Is the game dumbed down?

Anyway, I'm done wasting my time with you. But dont mind me, feel free to continue troll- eh I mean "having some fun".

    Is the game dumbed down?

... First you say that it will come, then you admit that there is a chance they wont be able to implement it because of "time/powers whatever" and now you say it will come sooner or later. Nice one, added to my list of excuses for arma3's flaws, right below "mods will fix it".

    Is the game dumbed down?

The FAKs are the problem.. do you even know what you are talking about? Why would there have to be anything about the FAKs there? "An improved medical system" was confirmed.

    Is the game dumbed down?

No, I want them to confirm that the things that WERE confirmed (and made me buy this game in the first place) are being worked on, and that they will show up somewhere with the DLCs.

    Is the game dumbed down?

I love how you say that you cannot even talk serious with us, while in the meantime every post of yours contains the word whining or random statistics that you pull out your finger. Oh your signature also shows how "serious" you are.

    Is the game dumbed down?

Do you have a source that confirms we will get for example an improved medical system in one of those game patches?

    Is the game dumbed down?

This whole thread is about dumbed down gameplay mechanics, how is a free DLC with a campaign and 2 new planes supposed to fix that? And apparently anyone that is not fine with this, is whining.

    AI Discussion (dev branch)

Would it be possible then to have some animals run away from loud vehicle noise or gunfire? Or have them run away when you use the horn (would be usefull against civilians aswell).

    Is the game dumbed down?

The thing is I never said that the whole game is dumbed down, I only said the arma3 med system is dumbed down compared to A2's med system. But doesnt matter, since you realized that you are blindly defending something that cannot be defended, you may continue defending other aspects of arma3 where you might actually have a point, anyway I'm done here.

    Is the game dumbed down?

No, the getting shot in the head part was a response to how you said that FAKs are a normal thing that everybody uses everyday IRL. I tried (and failed) to explain that you forget its not a simple cut in the finger we are trying to bandage ingame, its a 6.5mm bullet that you are pulling out of your shoulder in 3-4 seconds. Sure, now that you realize the arma3 medical system has indeed been dumbed down over the arma2 system we might aswell start comparing other aspects of both games.. Sigh.. Here is a comparisment of both medical systems AGAIN, so you can figure out yourself what has been dumbed down here. Arma2: Shot/injured in the legs = punishment (can only crawl) Shot in the arm/hands = punishment (Bigger aiming shake) cannot be fixed by simply holding your breath/pressing right mouse button. An unconcious/wounded state where you could get dragged/carried by a medic. Dying from bleeding out. Animation when the medic heals a person making both the medic and the wounded person combat ineffective for a few seconds. Arma3: Shot/injured in the legs = punishment (takes like 6 rounds last time I checked) Can only walk. Shot in the arm/hands = Bigger aiming shake that can simply be ignored by holding right mouse button or going crouched/prone. No unconcious/wounded state. There is no bleeding out. Magic handwave when a medic heals a person, while the wounded person can just run off shoot stuff while the medic is not even done doing his 3 sec handwave. Yeah you must be right, afterall, I'm the one ignoring the actual points and start focusing on little non related stuff or start comparing how realistic other aspects of both games are..

    Is the game dumbed down?

I know that, but what's your point? We are talking about the medical system now. And the arma2 medical system, even while it has its issues, is still better then the current arma3 medical system. Hahaha, as soon as you start running out of "arguments" you switch to plan B, telling someone to go fix the game himself, well played.

    Is the game dumbed down?

Oh so they dumbed down the whole medical system because they introduced helmets for soldiers, that we didnt have in arma2? Its all starting to make sense now. Actually no, with the arma2 first aid system you would die instantly if you took a shot in the head, but if you got shot in any other part of your body you would get into unconcious/wounded state, however there is always a chance that the second time you get shot would kill you instead of putting you back in unconcious state. So nope, you could not get shot and revived over and over again. Tbh, I still dont know what you're talking about.

    Is the game dumbed down?

Yeah, here in the Netherlands everybody is removing bullets from deep wounds daily. Got shot in the head while going to work? No problem, sit down for 3 seconds and remove that bullet out of your brains, got shot in the leg while going to school? No problem, you got a First Aid Kit afterall. What are you even talking about? Using your imagination to fix something in the game kind of describes how the current medical system works, magic.

I love cheese. You mean how BF3 beats arma3's auto TAB lock system? He was replying to someone's question, thats how a forum works, and I happen to agree with his "rosé tinted view on Arma 2". Everyone his own opinion then I guess.

    The Mi 48 Kajman

This is the new BIS easter eggs system, instead of finding hidden ingame stuff you can now search for copy pasted stuff.

    Is the game dumbed down?

At least he has some valid arguments, all you got is random "statistics" that you pull out your ***.
  18. The only difference is that I was not claiming stuff by using statistics or numbers or whatever, therefore I wouldnt have to proof anything.
  19. Your point is? Again, your point is? We were not talking about IF or WHEN ACE3 will be released. AFAIK nobody here is claiming that "the milsim fans" are a majority, I was just mentioning that NeuroFunker underestimates the amount of people that play or know about ACE, and whoever is a "true arma fan" is not important and would be a stupid thing to discuss. ---------- Post added at 20:45 ---------- Previous post was at 20:43 ---------- Ofcourse, because there is no way you can proof those numbers so why would you feel like discussing it further :D
  20. And you got those numbers from where? Sigh.. actually nevermind I wont even bother..
  21. You underestimate the amount of people that play ACE. Afterall its not about the amount of ACE servers you see in the serverlist, most of the ACE players are "serious", and therefore play with a community on a private server. And the amount of communitys that use ACE is quite big, I mean few of arma's biggest communitys (United Operations, Shack Tac and 15thMEU just to name a few) are playing with ACE and ACRE. And if with that 90% you counted the wave of new dayz players then you should keep in mind that those will be jumping to DayZ stand alone, and would not be considered "arma fans".

A List of Questionably Empty Promises

RoyaltyinExile mentioned it the development blogs and reveals thread (no time to dig through the 600+ pages :D ) Anyway they still should have mentioned this before releasing the alpha, because alot of people bought the game after seeing/watching/reading all the "before Oct 2012" stuff.
