so any hit on the turret by lets say 120mm APDFS turns the armata into an armored tracked car?

Not any hits, it depends where it lands, the type of shell etc. it would mean its the time for crew to bailout. It would survive a few projectiles to the frontal armour part of the, by this time they should've returned fire.

Also, is there any config/script to put GAU-19 on the ESSS blackhawk stubs?

The discussion is to state what people like, and what they don't, the hope is that this will help shape decisions by BI for future projects.

I didn't make the posts about Contact that I did to whine about it, I made those posts in the hopes that BI doesn't put out a project like this in the future.

And im certain they're listening, many of the reports and suggestions we've been vocal about have been implemented. I think the reason many of us have stuck around is because BI is a really awesome community oriented studio who I wish will stay in business for a very long time.

So would it be beneficial for them to make ArmA 4 aliens? Highly doubtful of that.

  3. I do believe the campaign will be longer in duration than LoW, they even said the gameplay is more like a quest and search instead of a static cookie cutter storyline.

I would be very grateful if some AK rifle accessories were added to this DLC that could be used on the AK rifles of the APEX expansion(AKM and AKS-74U).

A new muffler for AK rifles like PBS-04 or TGP-A-1 (the latter has on DayZ SA, since it used the houses of DayZ SA, well that could use the suppressor as well).

And for optics, you could add the red point KOBRA or RAKURS.

    * It is very sad that you create a mission of infiltration with Russian soldiers without being able to use the weapons along with classic equipment (that suppressor of the own game of 1m ruins all immersion of the weapon)

So you have to download 3GB of a Mod just to use it on your mission.

** And still convince your colleague to download the Mod so they can join you.

The Russians are rather quickly moving towards Western tech, the majority of Spetznaz are using EOTechs and a few knockoffs of US lbe.

I'm just curious about the SP campaign

I am aswell, since this is a spin-off I wonder if it will continue on / shed light to the events of the base game and previous expansions. Also how many missions will be included and maybe alternative choices?

No, no, no! Alien + ArmA 3 = No go! 😞

I think its more of a scripted alien, not a playable one. Seems like a continuation of the "secret" battles of East and West, maybe the Russians have harnessed magic powers?

This is MY  opinion, if someone else likes aliens, then ok..

I think aliens should be more appropriate for another franchise or style of play.

Since discovering ArmA when I first started playing ArmA 1, this franchise is geared towards military confrontation involving real weapons, vehicles and equipment, from which even the futurist ArmA 3 has used equipment that exists or as a prototype as the "Black Eagle" (T-100 Varsuk).

So having lasers or aliens as an optional weapon/item/unit makes ArmA 3 unplayable? Ok, sure!

I'm very happy as long as this update continues the storyline on the nukes.

  7. I'd put my finger on aliens, but it probably won't be something all too big like Apex. Maybe the Old Man DLC will come after this, as it seems story-oriented?

Either way, im super excited as BIS said they were 'done with updates' but I knew they couldn't resist :slayer8:

look at the number of subscribers to MODs like Exile (75K), Ravage (51K), Arma LIFE (258 pages on Steam Workshop), DBO_Horses (8K), RSPN Cave Systems (2.6K) there are at least a few that also like out of the ordinary survival.

Armed Assault is a platform for mods like those you mentioned, to really change the way of the game. ArmA should stick to being ArmA, not ArmALifeFortniteDaYz, if you pleasure those modes you can easily browse for the server and join. Personally I bought the series to use big weapons not pretend like im a firefighter.

  9. Guys the Destroyer is fucking invincible. No matter how many fast crafts you have coming the CIWS goes absolutely ballistic and can nuke targets 1km away.

I've put 3 CSAT submersibles and 14 speedboats trying to get close and none of them made it, with land artillery and aerial support. This was with 2 destroyers.

You can't even get in position of any CIWS to use satchels so they're there for good unless you have remote sentry otpion which would also get destroyed. Bloody hell how is this supposed to happen alongside a carrier with 80 planes ready to fly off and flatten continents.  mad

What if arma had air to air refueling?

If you see it from this point: The V-44X and the Y-32 Xi'an have both a refueling boom, so it may work. What do you guys think?

    ArmA and aerial refueling? :e:

I'm  not entirely proud of what could've been done here, but there is only so much that can be done with the current engine.  Just wait for the next title bro!

Hey, i'm a new to ArmA 3 and late to this thread, but I think i have a possible theory on to who CSAT are. I think CSAT are derived from BRICS, the economic alliance between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. This checks off the fact it has Canton in the name, as well as it mentions on the wiki that CSAT is made up of Asian (Russia, India, China) South American (Brazil) and North African countries. Perhaps in this universe Iran has it's sanctions taken off and it's able to becomes part of BRIICS. Under the same sort of guise of NATO, BRIICS decided to have it's own military alliance. In the later years of CSAT forming, Syria, and possibly some North African countries like Libya also join. So yeah, I think CSAT is made up of BRIICS and the addition of Syria and some north African countries like Libya

Russia isn't a part of CSAT. They even said it in one of the AAN news videos.

Wondering about intended layout for those weapon systems, looks like the positions of hammer and VLS are clear, maybe the spartan too, that leaves 2 slots for the praetorian I assume?

In front of the hammer there's also some markings, any idea what could possibly go in front of the cannon, if anything at all?

Any ideas/suggestions or other unmarked weapon placement spots I missed?

    Cheers

I think thats the correct format according to the photo, I'm not sure if that forward painted box is intended to store turrets. @nodunit Should know, I think.
