  1. But I lose 2 real cores with the 5600x. I want an 8 core for that price as I have held out on 4C/8T CPU for so long and do not want to do small upgrade later again. I can justify something very cheap like a "Pentium 4C CPU" if it I only use 2C/4T to go faster in ARMA then upgrade to a 8 or 12 core later. But from 6 to 8 core, I might as well go 8 core but not at today's price.
  2. Hi TPW, since this mod requires dependencies, would you consider to upload it to steam workshop or allow another member to do it on your behalf? Workshop automatically links the requirements to ensure noobs have all the right requirements when using mods. I love the new ABSTACT! I'm working a Ravage Survival mission, or planning it, and it is perfect for a more modern Chernarus style PMC or raider factions! That ACMU is AMAZING! Top shelf up there with VSM and MLO mods!
  3. Right now in my country: 10700KF - 308 USD 11700KF - 392 USD 5600X is 316 USD MB, RAM and cooler would be relatively the same, but lose PCI4 with 10700KF.
  4. I know. It gives some kind of forward indication of where performance can be. You are right the 11xxx series still has potential. Same would apply to upcoming Ryzen CPUs as well so for players who want to have a good idea where to spend, they can see what the potential are. I think 10xxxK series is probably the best buy for now in terms of price and overall performance until Ryzen drops in price or releases any refresh.

    We (dragged my DayZ and Ravage mates over) were playing on Outkasts and their mission files are 1.10.xx. Mag Repack fully working. I was repacking all those 10 or less filled magazines while were scouting for the comms station. Note the server was setup with CUP core, terrains, units, weapons and gear. On Salty Dog's and Aussie Battler's Escape server, it was working on all the custom terrains they use as well.
  7. What Groove C said. That ONE THREAD fully loaded needs to run AS FAST AS POSSIBLE as that is the scripting and it can slow down the rest of the game. Congrats Comrade Groove C! Looking forward to your testing!
  8. Did you to mean to "enable" the DLC content and weapons for the main ARMA missions? You CANNOT. The Missions are already coded or setup with specific units and weapons. But you can use a "replacer" mod from Steam Workshop that SWAPS the uniforms, gears and weapons over the default units' configurations. Look up Jarrad's replacements but AFAIK he did not make any with GM or SOG or CSL gear, yet. https://steamcommunity.com/id/jarrad96/myworkshopfiles?appid=107410 There may be others. Lastly, note the GM weapons are competely unbalanced against normal ARMA units. The weapons hits WAY harder so maybe use Universal Ammo System which completely re balances all the AMMO so ballistics are "relatively" similar to each other. But you will start to fall down into a the rabbit hole of unending ARMA enhancement mods.

Really need it on old maps! Interiors for CUP Maps https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1883956552 This replaces old CUP Buildings with those from Livonia (which the houses are already in the default ARMA game) so most buildings are nearly fully opened. Add this plus the Sheds mod to have more opened buildings.
  10. Just out of CURIOSITY, is the current build of the DayZ SA Enfusion engine scratch built from ARMA 3 or basically just the Enfusion rendering system + ARMA 3 script system so the above legacy code is technically the same in DayZ as in OPF?
  11. TPW mod is modular, so you can use some features, and use other mods for other features. What you CAN do is DISABLE TPW FALL and then use another mod like Project Injury Reality, PIR, from the Steam Workshop for a different ragdoll experience. I am using this combo with TPW right now, so it works great AND I have enhanced movement enabled. You can also remove TPW EBS.pbo to use Blastcore (I know it is old but I love the Michael Bay style explosions). You can DISABLE TPW Bleeding to use ACE MEDICAL bleeding! or vice versa, disable ACE MEDICAL to use TPW BLEEDING! This will help you customize TPW settings with other mods to have your favorite settings. Right now, all of the above set for my personal SP playing except I also have added AAPM and UAS which uses a customized ACE. Works incredible with nearly all SP missions or campaigns. Thank you Mate! Ravage is basically something like DayZ ++++! For TPW, I just want to someone SYNC the Ravage Zombie unit names to Max so we can have both, which are different, in the same game. Ravage has their zombies set to RENEGADE side by default, so it will attack EVERYTHING, including TPW Max Zombies, which sets it to the opposite of the player side. If we can select which side to set plus allow zombie unit names, like the skirmish, then we can customize how the zombies will behave.

    Developer ban issues

    Weird it seems others have this DEV ban recently, which I have never heard before. I know about the VAC and BE bans. It is possible someone has gained access to some admin controls? Hacking games it not unusual for popular games but banning players who are passive and non griefers is exactly unusual.

  15. @ZeratulSC +1 what GrooveC and Oldbear said. RAM SPEED and latency is probably 1:1 crucial to ARMA as CPU speed and IPC is. The FASTER the better. It has been proven time and time again. Other games are mostly GPU dependent, but some real time thinking strategy games like Civilization or X-Com will be affected just like ARMA. Try to OC and stabilize your CPU. Then see if you can increase the ram speed while lowering the latency. That can give you a HUGE, like 10 FPS minimum boost across the board. I have a system similar to GrooveC's old system (old 4790K + 32 GB DDR32400CL10. RAM). I was waiting to purchase Ryzen but the scalping put me off so I will just wait for next gen, or unless a work bonus comes through earlier to justify it. I will not buy at scalping prices since I have tuned ARMA to work good enough for now.

    APU AMD VRAM problem

    I think the issue might be SYSTEM ram related because ARMA in 64 bit mode can use MORE THAN 16 GB of RAM! He does not need 8GB of VRAM considering his GPU is not that fast to push a 3D 4K resolution game for example. 3-4 GB is plenty for 1080p so he should leave more RAM to the OS and Game for stability. The real solution is to eventually get a dedicated GPU.

    I agree about the quality of Gabreta! It is amazing and right up there fitting into CWR and CUP 2020 maps... The quality has come a long way since ARMA2. I was only turned off by CSLA due to the weapon sounds and lack of missions (which they fixed with a surprised of a Campaign!) which made me hesitant. Now even with all that, I would want to actually base build and survive with buddies on Gabreta! It feels it is a terrain or virtual home worth fighting for. Just need some rudimentary or port Exiles base building feature over, add Ravage and we have a great alternative scenario to go on. Lastly, I see the cDLC is only ~ 10 USD right now, it is the right price especially knowing now Steam takes 30%, BIS takes ~ 30% so the cDLC team is left with ~ 3 USD after any taxes! I feel the dev team deserve more than 3 USD and buying it on discount would take too much away from the development team. If Ravage team or players sets up only ONE Gabreta server, I will be all over it. I would host one myself but home internet has dynamic IP so it changes all the time.

    As long as you can play, you should be OK. If I set everything to LOW, I get 70-80 FPS but looks terrible. So use low or normal until you get a dedicated GPU.

    Assign 3-4GB to your GPU on the APU, and leave the rest to the system. Set everything to LOW or NORMAL. Then try it. Adjust the object and terrain distance down to 1800 or less and see if that helps.

    You DO NOT have enough RAM! APU uses CPU System RAM as VRAM. I have 32 GB of DDR3 RAM plus 3GB on the 1060 GTX. I do not have your problems. Get at least 16 GB of RAM, ideally 24 GB or more and assign 3-4 GB of VRAM to the APU. Or set everything to low and just accept the ugly textures.

You can use those ASSETS, but not loaded the maps onto the server, and everyone will be able to log in. Non DLC owners cannot USE any DLC gear, weapons, uniforms or drive the vehicles, but they can sit inside of it as passengers. AI and DLC OWNERS can USE everything. The HOUSES and terrain models from Tanoa, Livonia, Cam Lao Nam, Weferlingen, and Gebreta can be used by anyone in ANY of your missions, on other free mod maps such as CUP or the default vanilla maps (Stratis, Altis, Malden). If you mean do players need to BUY thec DLC? No! No need to BUY it. But whoever owns the full paid DLC can use all the gear, weapons, uniforms and any DLC vehicles if you included it your server or mission.
  24. I think the storyline topic is interesting NOW due to geopolitics but by 2035, it might be way different (if keeping it somewhat realistic or plausible). I believe it will be another false flag operation where radical fundamental insurgents in PI would trigger issues in various hot spots, covertly funded by those fed up of a strong CSAT + APAC neighboring alliance (not taking sides, just survival plausibility with CSAT including Russia's Naval Power and economic benefits for APAC neighbors). Then you can go up and down the coast, model other Pacific Island nations including NATO friendly ones, and add some twists such as PI rebels try to break free of colonization (real world on going political issue). Then you have NATO coming in... I mean it is kinda hilarious NATO is involved in the Pacific as the A in NATO stands for Atlantic. Probably better create the NATO allied Quad inspired factor to counter CSAT (Japan, India, Australia and USA + some APAC nations) as more plausible. Hey look, history just wrote itself... CSAT + PI Rebels vs Quad vs Insurgents. Done, done and done...
  25. I had a quick run with the latest update on CUP Chernarus 2020 Beta version! Performance with everything enabled except for zombies was amazing! It was better than some of my online experiences in terms of raw performance!!! After driving to Tisy, IN ARMA 3, I wanted to remind TPW to look at the zombie script for Ravage compatibility again. I have been playing DayZ SA with a few other ARMA 3 players on random servers, and I think we are getting there build a similar experience with this and Ravage mod! I need to figure out how to designate specific population or patrols by area... Probably another mod as both Ravage and TPW mod spawns patrol based X perimeter or radius from the players, not by terrain coordinates. I cannot wait for the CSLA cDLC team to update their audio system too so I can finally purchase without feeling something is wrong with it... I think Gabreta with TPW would make a great sandbox scenario. Can tie it to GM cDLC and CWR3 mod together for 80s style fun!
