  1. I had a thought but I am not sure if it will work. I noticed both GM and SOGPF has compatibility content free for use. I suggest looking into that for more ideas. The tunnel network is amazing and free to use, just saying!

    So I ended our 3+ hour escape mission. Comments: My teammates suck. Some made it to the EVAC but refused to hijack the heli to pickup the rest of us 5 clicks out! Going back to known servers instead of random servers. Good: The map is entirely worth the full asking price. 3x the size of Tanoa, details galore and I still have only seen maybe 10% of it. It reminded me of the remade Chernarus maps such as Redux, CUP 2020 version, and A3S Survival versions with more details added. That is my overall impression vs Tanoa, which I gladly paid full price as well. I found the secret entrance, I think, but since we were in the middle of an escape mission, I marked it for later review in the editor or another session. Gear - great modeling and texture details. Really good in terms of "feel" and a sense of the era. Weapons looks and feel good. Iron sights were good enough to take down enemies in short burst modes. Clothing - I love it. Some were simple such as the straw hat, the NVA and VC gear seems more polished than Unsung if you have to make a comparison. Texture details up close looked very good. Sound - This was a weird one for me as the gun fights were awesome. But the ricochet cracks and lack of "whistle" sound during a mortar bombardment could have been improved as I could not tell which direction where it came from. I think Dynasound or Cup did a better job at the cracks and whistles. The actual gun fire was amazing though... Talking about Battlefield type polish here. I would look to tweak the mentioned sounds or use a third party sound to supplement. Voice acting - great job overall. I can only add one comment and that may be a engine limitation, but would be nice to have a variable pitch added to break up the same voices per squad. SFX - Explosions - LOVE IT! Definitely turned up for both fire effect and booooommm sounds! I am wondering if I should even add Blastcore, but to me, more is more in that Michael Bay style. It is never enough! Lack of NVG... brings me back to CWC days! Scary. Literally sitting in the dark hearing some chatter and footsteps in the dark. ALL AROUND ME. CANNOT SEE A DAMN THING. I did not have a chance to sit down and review the models in EDEN yet, but I am sure the bug reports will be noted and fixed. Overall, I would rate it a must by for jungle warfare fans, especially on a COOP server. It really brings that immersion in spades. I hope someone ports or updates the Vietcong campaign from Steam Workshop to this cDLC or at least Unsung Redux so we can have the best of all worlds. My only question is will the upcoming shared content require us owners to ALSO download it or do we just load this mod in its place for missions that use it? I know GM has the cDLC and shared content so would this be the same? Just load cDLC instead of shared content to enable missions that use shared content? My SSD is actually full! Thanks!

    I'm only 2 hours in, server was slow to download off steam, and I can say full price was worth it for the map alone. Playing escape with 10 players. Map is ~ 3x times Tanoa, but quality has improved immensely! Completely worth it.

    There is already an ESCAPE mission ported! You can play it with a good team on Outkasts or other clan server! Or SP by hosting the ESCAPE mission on LAN yourself. I recommend to play with a good coop team. PS: I just bought it! I looked at the MAP and contents, and I felt it was worth the full price, just like Tanoa! I pickedup all the other DLC I didn't get or needed just to support the other cDLC teams. In these times, I felt ~ 20 USD is a small price to pay (compared to movies for enjoyment hours) and to support the people and their families!

    Watch this video! OMG! ... that first few minutes blew my mind already... We have wanted that for ARMA 3 and DayZ forever!!! I'm waiting for my regular server ops to confirm if they will be launching this. At least an ESCAPE mission!!!

    There is no SP? Please tell me there is at least a MP campaign like Vietcong 2003: Or like Shellshock Nam 67 but with ARMA detail and accuracy! That is all I want! Maybe a full stack MP mission from the NVA and VC side as well!

    There is an ARMA discord?! Do tell! This 1000% from an historical accuracy aspect. Question: Is this being made by the Unsung team? If so, I would buy it out of principle alone to support them. But the new content looks fairly tasty so far.

    Now make a COOP version with twice the chicken, rabbit or sheep or even HUMAN meat we need to win! Or a FFA Battle Royale version with each player needing X to win!

    Body Armor Math

    Goto STEAM WORKSHOP and lookup AAPM - That has simulated body armor with full inserts. I used this mod with compatibility patches in single player and it is super hard. Next load up ACE and Universal Ammo System and it will be about balanced. I think this is what you to simulate relative ARMOR values. I wish more MP servers would run it but it is really for those hardcore ACE type players.
  14. Goto your ARMA GAME folder, then this folder: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\Userconfig\tpw_mods\ If your ARMA 3 game was installed on C drive. If not, goto the right drive where ARMA 3 was installed. Then open the TPW_MODS.hpp file, it is a text file, edit it and change the number 1 to 0 (zero) to disable the features you want. Set it back it to 1 to enable it.

    Much lagging need help...

    Welcome to ARMA forums. You should check what SPEED your RAM is at and what is your CPU's MAX TURBO speed. Those 2 things will affect ARMA performance tremendously. Also, check to make sure your CPU cooling is adequate at MAX TURBO speeds. If it overheats, the CPU will slow down to maintain the heat limit.
  16. @Mahatma GandhiWhat is the rest of this system? Can you out the details? If we can use old system parts to offset the CPU, then it would still be worth it to go Ryzen as we know in the LONG TERM, the CPU still has a lot of untapped performance over current Intel CPUs in CPU bound games and applications.

    What is your native language? If you type in ESCAPE, you can sort by LOWEST PING to find a server closer to you. They may be speaking your native language. Enjoy!
  18. I just saw this video and thought of this mod to create a new game mode. It came from Halo but was remade for Gmod/Half Life 2. Could be Escape the Giant over a VR course for performance!

    I thought the zombies would be attracted to glow sticks or flares? If not , you can try a flash bang mod to see if it will work on the zeds in the first place before crafting such an item.
  20. Comparing this to Oldbear's 3600 and 3600x results: Nearly double the AVERAGE FPS Nearly double the MINIMUM FPS More than double the peak FPS, but this is the least important! AMD Ryzen 3 while expensive, completely worth it for the hardcore ARMA or cpu bound game player. But the Intel 10x00 series a better value right this moment.

    Glad you are enjoying ARMA with RHS. That is almost a perfect combo to me. If you want to learn more, I suggest you play ESCAPE online missions with basic and RHS modded versions. Just type in ESCAPE into the filter box when you search for online games. I play on Outkasts servers all the time or sometimes on Salty Dogs. It is a COOP game and lets you team up with humans vs the AI. One of the BEST ways to learn about the game and all of it's good and quarkyness!

    Ah, true and thanks for advising everyone! Every time a new mod update comes out, it is best to use it as is to allow other mods to update for compatibility. I did try Escape for Tarkvo sounds. REALLY good. There was a another mod from Dusty that was awesome but it is probably not compatible anymore due to being outdated.

    RHS has one of the best in game sounds. If you need echo, add Enhanced Soundscape from Steam Workship since it was made by the same sound creator! If you want to match RHS audio back to Vanilla ARMA 3, use DynaSound 2.0. It still works but may be slightly outdated. JSRS is a good alternative with great environmental sounds, so try it to see which version you like more.

Diable the HUD feature by setting it to 0 (zero) inside the hpp file. @ TPW - can you add variables to the zombie spawner so we can add zombies to the horde that do not have unit class names with zombie? Ravage names it's units with rvg. If I run TPW with Ravage, Ravage sets all of their zombies at renegades, so it will attack everything. This mod sets it to the opposite to Blue or RedFor so Ravage zombies end up fighting it out with TPW Max zombies! If we can add the RVG_* variable, then we can group it to the same side via TPW mod. Lastly, can you create a version of the skirmish or zombie script where we can define boss monsters or other monsters? If we can set group count such as 1-x (1 is good for a huge boss for example) and allow us to manually set the side, then we can control how they would react. I wanted to eventually add johnnyboy's or aliens or drongo's monsters to a single player experience, but adding to one side skirmish creates a squad of them! Kinda weird to see 6 Max Jason monsters for example. Multiple squads of 1 would have felt more at home with a check to keep it from repeating too much. Just thinking ahead for Halloween or a future Purge scenario!
