Hello everyone, Kind of a problem here. I have owned Arma 2/Operation arrowhead for a few years now. Recently I built a new machine and would like to reinstall Arma 2. The old links in my email to download no longer were valid. I logged into the store and found the new downloader. Before I would download Sprocket and that would download all necessary files. Now it is a single file and when I try to install I get the error that it is unable to find Setup01.bin. I am using Windows 10 so that may be why. Has anyone else had this issue?

Not very long after I made the post I found out the same information you just said. Both are installing through Steam now.

How do you expect Mantle to reduce a CPU bottleneck? If the CPU cannot process what the video card is asking for there really is not much you can do. ARMA 3 does not need Mantle, ARMA 3 needs a new engine, point blank.

Easiest solution is to just Disable SLI, No benefit in this game.

I would love to Nuke Altis and Stratis. Garbage maps need a big garbage nuke.

It's a ARMA 3 issue. Get used to it, going to be around for a very long time!

There is no benefit with current hardware when it comes to having PCI-E 3.0 vs 2.0. Personally I would go with a Intel Chip, They just perform better. Optimizing your settings and running the Arma Benchmark will not do you any good when it comes to multiplayer, your wasting your time there. There is nothing that you, myself or anyone on this forum can do about Low FPS in multiplayer except for BIS. All the optimization guides in the world will not help in multiplayer. Hopefully BIS made enough money off Arma 3 that they can Make a completely new engine for the next game. If they do not make a new engine then I do not think they should even consider making a new game if they are thinking about it.

Your CPU is holding you back a lot. Disable crossfire and see if it improves.

I am honestly more disappointed with Arma 3 than I am with Arma 2. Arma 3 should have never been released. BIS knew the FPS issues that ARMA 2 had but yet they still decided to make ARMA 3 on the same engine, and I was the dumb sucker that paid money for it. Putting the game on Steam to me was also a bad Idea. For the older generation atleast. It made BIS more money but now we have more kids playing the game than adults. I don't want to hear a 10 year old cursing at me and other players on the Mic. The Maps are garbage IMHO. It's just all desert crap. Need more variety. The whole future game is garbage too. The sounds are garbage Vehicle driving is garbage. Shit this game is garbage!

Is this on single player or Multiplayer? The game is very CPU dependent so the 2 7950's really are not doing you any good, Try running just a single 7950. It will come down to this though. Unless there is something seriously wrong with your PC you will not get decent frames in Multiplayer on this game, Just not going to happen unless BIS redo the whole engine.

That happens to me a lot and is the only reason I usually do not even play any of the single player stuff. I normally just mess around in the Editor. Maybe once the AI gets working properly I can actually enjoy the game.

I am not sure about GTA5 but The previous GTA4 game was a poorly optimized game as well. It did support multiple cores but it ran poorly. I would venture to say that if it was able to have all the features that Arma 2 or 3 have it would barely run it.

OK, I just went back and watched the Updated Video. All I can say man is I am extremely impressed. DCS-A-10 meets Arma 3! Woot!!!!!

Yes you can turn it off, It will be under the CPU configuration tab.

Logout and exit steam and then Open Steam and it will update ARMA 3.

Are you using Hyperthreading? I am not sure how Arma 3 is compared to Arma 2 but I gained 15 fps average by just disabling Hyperthreading.

I can't wait for this. Single handedly the best and my favorite jet there is and I have so much fun with it in Arma 2. As far as the Shark vs Warthog nose art? Why not have both. Most people recognize the A-10 by the shark mouth I would presume though.

You do realize that with more weight comes more traction right? Take your average pickup truck for example, With nothing in the bed trying to climb a hill. You will end up with the rear wheels spinning. Now put more weight in the bed of it and it will be able to climb the hill more efficiently. Depending on the power plant that the tank has will dictate how steep of a incline and at what speed it can climb. I agree, GPU usage can easily be changed by driver settings or in game AA/AF settings.

And this is the reason I still have not upgraded my i7 940. At 4ghz it performs just as well as the newer i7's. The biggest thing the newer i7's have going for them is less heat and they can clock higher.

You do have a point. If you got the coin then You would be one of the first that would find out what it will do with Arma 3.
