    Hey autigergrad, not sure what you mean about the sling loading script. Our helicopters use / will use the BIS sling load ability in the game, not a 3rd party script. As for Fast Roping, we intend to implement the ACE3 Fast Rope ability on all of our helicopters when it is released as it is currently a work in progress. You shouldn't have too long to wait to see the Apaches and Wildcats though as we are now just working on the last couple of issues raised in our final testing round.

    Yes for the Ridgeback, Land Rovers, Chinook, Apache, Wildcats and Merlin. Possibly the Mastiff. We'd like to include a C130, C17, Harrier, F35 and Puma. We do have a potential source for the Challenger - and other goodies - if Burnes is kind enough to release his source files. As for the raiding craft, we've had a discussion with a modeller about including his work. Hopefully we will be able to get it in game but no promises. As for everything else I've mentioned, the only issue is time.

    @Flipped: Thanks for the report. The pack was released just prior to ACE3 being publically available. We tried to make it ACE3 forward compatible at the time, but there have been updates since then. We will attempt to correct these when we do our next update to the weapon pack, along with adding in a few new weapons and adjust the sound tails etc... @Arkhir: Thanks. It isn't your calculations. This has been reported in the past. Again, it will be something we will look to correct in the future. At first glance it isn't immediately obvious as our mortar inherits pretty much everything from the vanilla MK6 in terms of config, so something else must be going on. It could be the different size / angles between the two models, but we'll spend more time on it when we get finished with our helicopter releases.

    Hey Flipped, yes the intention is to correct any issue with the weapons / scopes and ACE3. We will do so in the next pass of the pack. However we are currently focussed on releasing our Wildcat and Apache variants first.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Kukus. ACE3's interaction menu is probably how we would do it, similar to what we experimented with in regards to feature that allows you to sling load your helmet onto your pack and put on a beret. It is probably possible to have the detector disappear from the rear of the pack and appear in the units hand, assuming we could find a decent animation for using it. We can hopefully take a look after our forthcoming helicopter releases, as we do have some new weapons / models to update our weapon pack with and one or two tweaks to make to the equipment pack. We may shoot you a PM closer to the time to have a talk about it.

    There is a folded one on the engineers backpack because it is something we were interested in at the time, especially as ALIVE, ACE3, and mods like EODS were being developed. As a small mod team with RL jobs, we are already immensely busy with the existing models and features we hope to release. It was our hope, and still is I guess, that we could integrate / implement something in the future to at least make the minesweeper useable. However, our focus is not currently on the equipment pack. We are attempting to get all of our other releases to a version 1 release stage. In between each new release, we will attempt to fix and update the existing packs with new features / models where applicable. The minesweeper may fall under that.

  12. Hello all, I am hoping someone out there has the skills we at 3CB (www.3CommandoBrigade.com) are looking for. We have a uniform mesh for a new custom British Uniform (courtesy of Cunico) and we would like some assistance with weighting it to the arma 3 skeleton and getting it into game. If anyone out there in the community has experience of weighting a uniform, and / or would like to see a new uniform for British-based clans, we would really like to talk to you. Thanks, Evrik.

    Thanks for the replies. It was indeed some information / expertise / help on assigning weights for each vertices to each bone in the skeleton that we are looking for. I should have made that more clear. Our 3CB units are currently limited as we can only reskin the vanilla AAF uniform. We really want to get a model of a uniform in game so that we have complete control over the positions of things like pockets, kneepads, leg holsters etc....and fit our vests and backpacks correctly to the uniform. We have the mesh, but our group currently lacks anyone with the knowledge and experience to take that mesh and apply it to the arma 3 skeleton, with correct weights for all of the vertices. It is something we could spend hours on, and with trial and error, we could probably get it right, but we have so many BAF projects already on the go - Apache, Wildcats, Chinooks, Merlins, Opfor Pack, Ridgebacks, Artillery, 60mm Mortar, Land Rovers... - that we are looking for some outside assistance from a member of the wider Arma community. PuFu, I'll check out those links, thanks.

    3CB BAF Units

    We are yet to make a final decision on what to combine. It is a catch 22 situation. Some want smaller, individual packs, others want a larger combined pack. Whatever we do, someone will be disappointed. For the time being, while we add more and more into the pack, it is best to have it broken down into smaller parts - weapons, equipment, vehicles - as it becomes too unwieldy during the creating process, making it harder to spot errors and increasing the amount of time it takes to build into a .pbo during each new additional model. As for additional vehicles, we will be adding in our own Apaches, Chinooks, Wildcats, Puma, Land Rovers and Ridgebacks. However all of that will take some time. I am not sure about the Challenger as we don't currently have access to a model.

    Thanks for the offer, Stonebridge, but the same issue would apply with those models. None of them are rigged and weighted to use to the arma 3 skeleton. We would still have to do that, and currently, we don't have anyone with the experience to do that. We have a really nice uniform model, and our texture artist has the work done, it is just that we currently lack someone with the skill to take the uniform mesh and get it into game.

    Not at the moment. We have a mesh thanks to Cunico, and we have our own textures, but the whole thing will need to be rigged and weighted for the arma 3 skeleton. It is a lot of work and not something we are focusing on at the moment. Perhaps when the Apache and Wildcats are finished, we will look at it further. If anyone out there has created a uniform model from scratch (not just a retexture) and successfully got it into game, we'd be interested in speaking to you as it is not something we have done. We could do with the help.

    The ability to select an insignia from the virtual arsenal will be restored in the next update. It was overlooked in the release. The issue we have with the vanilla BIS uniform arms is that they are mirrored textures and we cannot change that. That is why the Royal Marine Commando text is reversed on the opposite arm. In the future we hope to move to our own uniform - which will give us greater control over the entire equipment pack.

    Is there an RPK model in the pack? I see the class name for an RPK and RPKm, and ammunition, plus the UI for an RPK in the inventory, however the model the unit is carrying once spawned in is a PKM.

    The static weapons are found in the launcher slot in the arsenal and are carried on the shoulder. They are comprised of a tripod and a weapon. The person carrying the tripod drops it on the ground first. It will change from a bag to the model of a tripod. The person carrying the weapon then looks at the tripod and should get the option to 'Assemble' the weapon. There will be a short animation and the weapon will appear on the tripod. It will contain a single magazine. Additional ammunition must be carried by the team to reload the weapon.
