France's legal system has quite a few shortcomings, just recently I was talking to a gendarme and he mentioned that could not arrest a person who was offering to sell an illegal firearm because said person hasn't sold it yet. No criminal action=no arrest. The situation may have been similar with this situation.

Toadie's SmallArms and Animations for Arma3
13islucky replied to toadie2k's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well, just found out that the suppressors are actually giving the subsonic loads supersonic cracks again because they increase the round's velocity. You may need to either slow down the rounds further or modify the suppressors to reduce the velocity increase when equipped. -

Nice pack overall, but I'm honestly not a fan of how the CCE came out. The one in game seems almost yellowish. -
Toadie's SmallArms and Animations for Arma3

Weow, I found something just now. When using the FAL's SUIT and NV scopes with TMR you get the TMR ARCO 2D reticle overlapping the optic's. I was hoping you could fix this as I'm rather fond of TMR. -
Like Corporal_Lib says, plus you can look through them when you edit your profile (you know, name changes, face, eyewear etc.) in the menu.

Is fatigue system realistic? Fact based discussion
13islucky replied to d3nn16's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
That definition of a forced march is a bit vague, and could be considered as several things in-game. For example, I would consider the lowered combat pace to be a forced march, seeing as it's faster than walking while still retaining the 'march' part of the equation. With combat pace and lowered weapon, you can easily traverse large terrains without fatigue building up to combat ineffective (i.e. drunken sway) levels. Granted you may have to walk a for a few seconds every 5-10 minutes, but that makes sense. My opinion on the fatigue is that I like the concept and it's fairly well-balanced. I would like however a more complex system, though that's beyond tweaking and would need far more work. With some practice you can do some very pretty SAS-style drills with the new system. -
ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread
13islucky replied to max power's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
BIS did add some hoods a few months back for the googles slot. As well as this there's the HiddenIdentity pack. I'm in a bit of a hurry so I can't link it sorry -
It has been, at least once. Probably even more.

Holy shit I hadn't realized how similar they were haha

So apparently there's this Polish indie top-down shooter where you play as a depressed long-haired trench coat-wearing guy who goes on a rampage in a small town because he hates people. In what may be related news, the CEO of the company is a neo-nazi. Not posting the trailer 'cause it's edgy, so: *Cue shooting, screaming stabbing and executing civvies and cops, genuinely disturbing stuff.* I mean I don't know, it's probably not something I'll play, though the game has a shock value, especially in today's world where mass murders are, at least, more frequently reported on (not to mention far more sensationalized) as information travels faster than ever before. No doubt it'll get peoples attention both supportive and indignant. I don't have a problem with hyperviolence. It can be stylized, dramatic, consequential or even funny; this game though...
-
Fair enough, I suppose there are other things that deserve talking about over this. My biggest issue with it is choice. You CHOSE to kill civvies in GTA or in Postal, the game never demanded you to. If you decided to go crazy, it was your choice. Hell, I tried to minimize civilian casualties in those games, but eventually I'd just get frustrated and rampage. I chose to do so, and so I had to deal with the consequences (eg. cops trying to kill you or whatever). This game removes that choice and turns it in to the whole crux of the game, which... kinda feels wrong I guess? I don't know.

Weapon Inertia & Sway Feedback (dev branch)

Because for some reason your virtual persona doesn't have his arms touching the ground, sort of like a martial artist trying to prove a point. -
Napoleonic? More Zulu-like if I may say. Would post a video but I'm having issues with YouTube as is.

Oh yeah, EW was pretty good. Honestly my most memorable A2 singleplayer experience (and before you say anything no, I did not play much A2 SP).

Toadie's SmallArms and Animations for Arma3
13islucky replied to toadie2k's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I would personally suggest Toadie does whatever he wants to do, no matter what other mods are doing. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I really don't feel like not doing something you want to because someone else is doing it is kinda wrong. -
Shit, then. I guess that's why all the armour countering drills (including but not limited to the "sweep the leg" and "shoot the dick" drills) haven't really been working. This means it's a lot worse than I thought it was, which bums me out.

Toadie's SmallArms and Animations for Arma3
13islucky replied to toadie2k's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
You can basically put it in any modfolder, or even make your own. It should automatically override the Agressors' AKs. -
Looks like the HK 416C variant, as well as a line of what looks like IARs.
-
They all look like AR15s to me, though I'm sure that the guy on the right has a HK416 by the front sight folded down exactly how it was in your Arma 2 pack. Could be all HK416s

UTS-15 Tactical Shotgun
13islucky replied to blackpixxel's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Nice one, personally I would have chosen a more "current" (590, 870 etc.) shotgun, but I get it and it looks really cool. Not only do I like this, but here's hoping this is the possible beginning of a slew of practical pump shotgun mods. -
Just an FYI, one of the North Hollywood bank robbers took almost 30 rounds of 5.56 to the legs before falling down, so... Look, I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, but these things aren't absolute, and complaining about them like this doesn't really provide any sort of significant contribution other than to express discontent (which we have done many times in many places already).

TPW MODS: enhanced realism and immersion for Arma 3 SP.
13islucky replied to tpw's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Well, I'm not sure this is the place to discuss terminal ballistics, but if I recall correctly most FMJ 5.56 is very dependent on velocity to deal significant damage, as at high velocities (>3000ft/s? I can't remember) would fragment violently. The British, trying not to violate that whole Hague business, actually uses ammo that cannot fragment, therefore reducing overall effectiveness of their rifles, even with the long barrels bullpups offer.- 5767 replies
