  2. Heya all - does anyone know the script that activates a trigger when a training target's knocked down? Essentially, I want to end the mission when a certain target is hit. Any ideas?

    Ah, thanks mate! That's brilliant! I take it a variation of the above will work for the pop-up target and simple targets? Perhaps I just need to change "Orange" or "Green" to the name of the target and ignore the setObjectTexture? I'll fiddle with it tonight and try. Again, as always, thank you!

    Say, wouldn't it be fantastic if some trees exploded with life when you approached them. A flock of birds taking flight? That way, if you were alone in a wooded area or forest, and you heard birds taking flight, you'd know you weren't alone. That would certainly create an atmosphere while being very realistic. Apologies, I meant to post this as a reply in another thread (discussions and ideas).

  12. Does anybody know if there is a way to hide or disable the object names that appear in-game? You know, if you look at an object, it appears on screen. Any ideas? Or even how to change them to something else?

    You know when you move your cursor over a snake and it comes up 'snake', or 'H-barrier', or 'Stone House' etc. That's the text I'd like to get rid of or change...

Ah fantastic, thanks! ---------- Post added at 09:08 ---------- Previous post was at 08:55 ---------- That works - but it wasn't the typewriting effect I was looking for... it's as if the text is being written on a typewriter and there's a sound effect with it too. You can see it on the helicopter showcase when you re-arm... not sure what the script would be? All the same, that's quite an interesting bit of scripting to know.

    Yay! Can't wait! Seriously, I'm looking forward to your update just about as much as I was the Beta! Yup, best take all the time you need with the oil rig - wouldn't want to rush it.     I wonder if I might put in a request? Can we get billboards and pinboards? I bet they'd be quite easy to do. Just blank ones, so we could add user textures? Maybe a few large billboards to add the 10m custom texture to?A simple, black or grey, oblong square? :)

    Thanks - but I was looking for a way to change them too. I also wanted them so that other players can't see them on multiplayer. It's a small, niggling detail - but would be great to get it sorted. There must be something that can be changed? Perhaps something in the description.sqf?

    They're some great ideas and I agree too - would really add to immersion. I just love the idea of startling birds in a forest and them taking flight. Friend or foe? Who's out there? etc.

    Yeah - but it'd be great to actually see a flock of birds (native to a Greek island) taking flight! I used to do a lot of hunting, and it was always a giveaway of something.
