    Ehi guys, i'm enthusiastic for your work, really thanks! i was afraid of never see your mod on Arma3! But, in my opinion, you should modernize a bit the vehicles, when is realistic. :) Of course, Lv-90 and Leopard 1a5 are 'out of date' so are good like look now: old fashioned. But for example i think is better use remote turret (the Arma3 standard turret) on Lince, or create a version with remote turret. Or, for the anti-tank version, use Spike on turret and not Tow. Maybe i'm saying something you already know, so, good work anyway.
  2. Guys, probably we will know more in the next expansion/DLC of Arma3. Is the classic cliffhanger. The only thing we truly don't know is how all started, why AAF attacked. I don't think Miller want that, surely had not made easier his work, but maybe he did something that pissed off AAF. Or maybe is because with the support of CSAT, AAF had took courage. The rest is understandable, broadly. Miller disappeared many times with all british because they were searching the device. And, during this searching, NATO cannot invade Altis, because if happen CSAT escape with the secret-weapon still hidden somewhere, like happen in the "NATO-win" ending. Indeed - like a breafing text said - after NATO invade Altis, CSAT withdraw from the all fights in the island. Or is possible Miller want CSAT finish the weapon and after steal that.

  4. Surviving is different to continue fighting like nothing happened. It is a really big difference. 2-3 bullets was a compromise. 7.62 have less penetrative power than 5.56.

    No sorry, me and others make tests about body armor, search in the first pages of this topic. :) It is worse: Blufor body-armor is even more tanky then opfor.

    No, BLUFOR can take more damage, players died faster because IA make everytime headshot, but BLUFOR soldier can take 1-2 shot more than OPFOR. :)

    I'm not talking about me, i play Arma3, is a good game anyway. I talking about community. If you say "well, Arma3 is a 'standard sandbox foundation' where you can add on mods as you like", if these mods (and modders) stop working...what remain? only foundation? is a good system until community is happy and work like employees of bohemia. Is not a critic, but it is the reality. Without a single team of modders (example, ACE modders) many old-fan of Arma remain dissatisfied, and play Arma2 and not Arma3 like you say. So, sadly, is not 'better for everybody', at least not always. P.s: In all honesty, ACE is very old mod. The "must have" features of this mod was implemented by simply fans. I don't think to implement feature like weapon-resting is a big problem for the software house that created the game. Also Red Orchestra have this feature in vanilla version, for example.

    Yes, but... where is ACE for Arma3? probably this is the big problem. With ACE many people don't complain about vanilla, because don't play vanilla anymore.

    Yes but maybe is too complicated. Because Bohemia should introduce the choice about armour-level, and effect in sprint e run with a heavier body armour. Would be nice, but it is improbable.

    Also in football, archery, Counter-strike and war there is a little random-factor. :) But for now is not a priority, I think.
  13. Maybe i'm crazy. But today, after last patch, I was testing a mod, in a map where i put many opfor soldiers with AI disabled, and... enemies need 3 shot in body - with an MX - for a kill, instead 2. With a Mk14, 2 shoot instead 1. With a ACP .45, 3-4 shoot instead 2-3. First, i have thought the problem may be the mod (TMR mod), but disabled that, "problem" remain. Problem because, in my opinion, even can take 2 shoot is too much. I am the only one with this issue?

    But this tab is against blufor soldier or opfor soldier? i have different result with opfor soldier (for example with MX is: 1/2-3/4-3)

    Hi There are 2 topic in forum Arma3-general complaining about new damage/body protection system modified with yesterday patch summarizing: Now is needed too much assault rifle bullets for a KO.     Yes but... careful. Ok, armour work...but if you are hit by 1-2-3 7.62 bullet, is like hammered. Sometimes (depends how and where you are hit), your playing time is finish and you need rest and recover. You don't die, but you don't come back to fight in few seconds, or minutes. Or at least, this is what I know. P.s: Maybe we saying the same things. :D

    The truth lies somewhere in the middle. There are many level of body armor protection and plates. If you are a light infantry soldier (like many times we are in the game), you cannot use the max protection-plates in all body, because is too heavy. You must choose: protection or the ability to run and sprint? So, you can use best plates (the SAPI plates) in some point (like on heart/front chest) and they are good, but you are not completaly immune against all AR bullet in all body. And 5.56 is more penetrative of 7.62x39 o 7,62x51, and i think 6.5 have the same penetrative power of 5.56. P.s: I do my test in-game against rifleman standard opfor soldier, with an MX, from 10m to 400m. The issue "be too close" i don't think is simulated in the game.

    In chest, from very low distance, against opfor rifleman, is 3 bullets, i'm sure. But from 300m, counting bullet hit arm and not chest, average...is the same thing for me, yes, 4-5-6 bullet.

    If I have my say, i think a good body armor is not simply - like it is now - add more "life". Life it was enough. But add "life" (or positive multiplier) against weapon like pistol or fragments simply cannot penetrate any body armor, and decrease life (or negative multiplier) against Assault rifle and sniper/DM rifle. So I can KO an enemy with 1-2 shoot in the chest with a assault rifle; instead of pistols, bullets of assault rifle out of max-range and fragments, hitting the soldier but not KO the soldier, because don't penetrate body armor. With the exception of facial headshot off course. Must be like... tank-armour should be: some things penetrate and do serious damage, other things don't penetrate and do superficial (or temporary) damage, or hit and "disable" crawler/arm/leg. This system with a medic/wound system, would be amazing. Not perfect, but very good and simple (i think). Anyway, if is impossible, back to the old system, please!

    I thought body armor is already present in game, because in-real-world 1 shoot in body can be enough for a KO (not a death, a KO), even with a body armor (depends on caliber). So 2 shoot, i thought, is a compromise. :raisebrow: I'm perplexed.

    My post isn't a critic; I'm not looking about cheats. Simply in coop-missions - if shooting become easier - maybe i must increase IA-skills, for balancing... ;) For example: i think advantages for better aiming in long distances are more then disadvantages of losing peripheral awareness. But if it is realistic, i don't complain that.
