ARMA 2: OA beta build 108074 MP compatible build, post 1.62 release)
Whispy replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
What are the "unspecified fixes" in this patch? -
I'm 100% sure. He even admitted that he sold it and then he killed himself before getting kicked, and he dropped all the money that he got from selling my stuff (and the amount was almost the same as what I had spent). EDIT: Ceh was the admin online at the time, so you can ask him to verify, if you'd like.

Yes. This griefer sold my crate each time within ~30 seconds of me buying it (and this occurred in total 2 times)! I'm not sure what allowed him to do so, but he was definitely doing it. He even was banned from the server for it. [Note: This was on the DEV server on June 24th that this happened]

The current option in the gunstore to sell from nearby vehicles/crates has a huge flaw in it. As it is now, griefers on your team can just sit in the gunstore, wait for you to buy things in a new ammo crate, and then they can sell it all the stuff from that crate immediately after you buy it. This allows them to steal all your money. If there are multiple people in the store at the same time, you won't even know who stole your money! Possible solution: Give players ownership of ammo crates they buy for a short period of time after they buy them (1-2 minutes), and then make it so people cannot sell from crates if someone else is an owner of them. (This would be similar to enemies trying to move base parts while a friendly is nearby and not being allowed to).

I am running ARMA II OA version 1.62.105785 on a Windows 8 64-bit desktop, with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570. Here is a screenshot from the main menu of my version and what extras I have running: http://i.imgur.com/AMTiVJ7.jpg I do not have the ATOC and PPAA settings in my advanced video options GUI, though I do have them in the Arma2OA.cfg file (I have included the text of this file at the bottom of the post). If I edit them via the file, they do change what things look like in-game (as far as I can tell), but this is a workaround. Here is what my video options menu looks like: I have had ARMA installed for a few months, and have went through multiple beta patches through that time. I have never, at any point, had the PPAA/ATOC options in my GUI. In fact, I did not even know they were supposed to be there until a friend mentioned it to me recently. One thing I did try was to create a new ARMA player profile from scratch, but this did not fix the issue. Please let me know if you need any more information. I hope that this problem can be resolved. Thanks! EDIT: Additionally, I launch ARMA via the ArmA II Launcher program. These are the launch parameters that it applies: And here is the text of my ARMA2OA.cfg file:

Missing ATOC & PPAA settings in GUI
Whispy replied to Whispy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Yup, you're right. I edited the post above yours to reflect that I fixed the issue and that this was the problem. You must have been posting at the same time that I was editing haha. Thanks! -
Missing ATOC & PPAA settings in GUI

If you read the original post fully, you'd see that I do have the 1.62 patch installed. The version I am running is 1.62.105785 EDIT: After trying to reinstall 1.62 just in case, it says that I am actually on 1.59...This is strange, as you can see from the screenshot at the top of the OP, it says I am on 1.62 in-game. However, I will update to 1.60 and then 1.62 incrementally and see if my problem is fixed. ---------- Post added at 14:39 ---------- Previous post was at 14:21 ---------- Well, seems that I didn't actually have the 1.62 patch installed (despite it telling me I did). Installing it gave me the GUI options. Thanks for the advice, Sakai! [Thread can be closed] -
Missing ATOC & PPAA settings in GUI
Whispy replied to Whispy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
If I do that, I get two errors: no entry 'bin\config.bin/cfgingameui/mptable.shadow' and then: error compiling pixel shader psspecularalpha:0 and the game does not run. -

The NVIDIA control panel allows me to override/apply some settings that are not available in ARMA itself, but it does not have any options for ATOC or PPAA. -
ARMA2.RU -Wasteland Sandbox- servers thread
Whispy replied to samatra's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
Both JSRS and ACE SM are supported on the Sa-Matra wasteland servers, and have been for some time. EDIT: Sa-Matra, I was wondering if you did any bugfixes in this new version of Wasteland? Please let us know if so :) -
I tried this out last night, and aside from the glitches that are ARMA 3-based (and not Wasteland-based), it was awesome! I think you've done a great job, Sa-Matra! Keep it up! However, I do have one suggestion and one question: Suggestion: I had trouble with not knowing if I could fit certain items into my inventory because of their size (and how many slots I had left). I noticed that in the player menu, you added a feature that shows how many slots you're using and how many slots you have total. However, I think that it would be beneficial to also say how many slots an item takes up when viewing the inventory screen. I've made a rough mockup of what it could look like: (Note: this is just a random ARMA 3 inventory image I found on google. It is not from the Wasteland server. Also, the typeface I used is not the default ARMA 3 typeface, as I don't know what that is.) Question: Are you going to eventually enable the use of mods that fix ARMA 3 UI problems? For instance, the stance indicator mods or the GPS fix mods? EDIT: I also am very happy that you made it almost impossible to kill someone while moving a base part. Goodbye, griefers and cheaters!
