    I have to see that this new terrain seems to bring all I ever wanted since the first day I played OFP (on release day).

    An archipelago with different islands to jump from one to other, with all the possibilities that it adds (infantry, airborne, amphibious and sea combat).

    As a mission maker it adds tons of possibilities history wise compared to the boring flat too-big Altis.

    Only in a $15.99 fee to continue having fun!

    ? Yes this will be the standards. A very small ammount of people wants to play in military doctrinated clans once a week where if you missfire you have to say sorry to your commander (wtf?). That's also the reason of why most of the MP mods dies so quickly, because half of this community makes their gameplay closed to the public. Honestly I understand these A3L players: A3L it's much more funny then most of these clan based gamemodes. If it was free and was not breaking addonmakers copyrights I was probably going to be the first playing it.

    Apparently DayZ didn't teached the lesson to this community. Slicing the multiplayer in smaller ammount of people leaving the public servers almost empty makes the whole MP die quicker, that's obvious, I'm surpirsed that the only ones that understood that are the ETW guys.

    What are you? 12? I'm talking about the standard of modding by A3L. Do you not notice how shit their content is? Yeah this is a military sandbox game and if you can't handle that then leave.

    Fake or not, A3L is keeping Arma 3 sales in good state and is keeping multiplayer alive. It's not like they stand on their site...

    It's more like they are happy that they can't do anything against them.

    Noo... Not exactly. This isn't DayZ. If they wanted to keep a server like this they wouldn't give a shit about the future arma community. If this will be the new addon/modding standard then no one would want to play ArmA because everything is just overused shit mods.

    Well believe with what you wish. What I am reporting was directly from Caiden. You're right, Bohemia will never outright tell another community this. But do they necessarily need to in order to convey their thoughts and feelings towards this? Simple sentences give up entire meanings. As for the City life thing, I did say rumors didn't I?

    Heres what happened guys. Some kid in teamspeak tells Caiden "Bohemia is going to take down city life", Caiden then thinks they are on his side, now him being the age that he is does not surprise me as I've go to high school still and people do that all the time.

    Bro, who could trust him after the shit and lies hes spewed so far?

    Huh? What have I done? How am I a hacker? I'm merely telling you what will happen from here on out. It's something most owners have dealt with. I don't know how my statements led you to call me a "hacker", or what "your work" was supposed to mean. You need to get some sleep or something, maybe? Anyway, I dont see anything A3L has "created". What about that statement pisses you off? It is a fair assessment. I only mention that you guys can still be successful, but it wont be with so-called "unique" content, it will be based on how you manage your community. Seriously man, you need to learn to read, or stop answering posts that you didn't read in their entirety. Nothing is yours, that's all I'm saying.

    A3L has this mentality that the BI forums is ddosing them. All that's left there is 17-13 year olds that think were a bunch of oldfarts with morals getting angry over stupid shit for no reason. People that think like that should just leave because no one here is going away. They think BI doesn't give a shit and their scott free....shitstorm is coming to them..

    I don't have to show you proof of anything. Your the one making the false accusation. So show that we modified this vehicle or stop finger pecking the keyboard.

    Then when someone does you'll say "That's at first when we started" or "that's not us". Something around the lines of that. Seriously what are you trying to prove here? All your doing is giving the thread bumps.

    If they wanted to do something with the least amount of "chaos" possible then they would of not skipped out on crucial development time. I've done the research extensively and they have been "in development" for well over a year. I am sorry but if you spend that much time in development then code wise everything should be yours and completely custom. Code its self is the LEAST time consuming part of a mod design such as this. The most time consuming part is models which are also stolen (Irony). The island its self was already built so modifying it and making that work for ARMA 3 should of been at the most 4 months worth of work.

    I can say all of this from pure experience as I have learned it all for the ARMA series but personally prefer code. Their actions speak clearly for a profitable gain and not much more. I am sure in the very beginning they wanted to build something nice but once time goes on those thoughts and feelings always change when you realize the potential profit gain. This goes especially for the fact that they spent months an months hyping it up to only slack around, it's a classic money grab scheme seen by actual game publishers. In my own opinion I seriously doubt they will move off of my code in particular and I can say that from seeing how they've coded in the past. The way a person codes and then produces something later on speaks for what their capabilities and motives are.

    I also do not appreciate their constant attempts to discredit me because the only person allowed and able to do that is myself. I have done nothing but give back to the arma community and players and never expected anything in return. Although what I have given back a large majority of the community does not like :butbut: or at least the people that it attracts.

    I love what they say on their forums. "Tonic is no better than Caiden so it was alright to say 'kill yourself' on BI forums".

    It literally now is just them blaming everything on you.

    Right now my willingness to do anything anymore for Arma and make it public is near zero. I'd really like to hear an official statement from Bohemia regarding this issue...

    Don't worry about it bro, BI will put out something soon I believe. Just put your name on a part of the mod to where no one can remove it. idk if you can encrypt it. If I was releasing something I would put "No using this for commercial gain", "You are not allowed to edit any part of this addon". Something around the lines of that, I don't won't people editing the pbo in anyway or using it for commercial gain. I have no problem with it being used in a modpack since I have my name on it.

    Agreed, the ArmA community is one of the best gaming communities out there. Maybe some people that come here supporting A3:L don't understand why everyone is trying so hard to protect the community we all cherish. Both Bohemia and Modders helped get the franchise where it is today, even most people that work at Bohemia came from modding backgrounds. When you put so much effort into something you enjoy then you have every justified reason to defend it. The amount of time the ArmA community has been around for out weights the Life community by so much - round about 10 years.

    I agree. People that come here disrespecting people do not understand how great this community is. There is few games that have the devs, staff and addon creators work together? You can come onto the forums and get support from game devs, report bugs, have input that is actually considered or talk to them on skype. How awesome is that? You can't just go hit up the call of duty developers on the forums or Skype. If all these addon creators couldn't get support from people who made the tools, then we wouldn't have what we do now.

    Ok this turned into a circle jerk over if we can sue or not. I believe addon creators should word their content very careful legally so people can't claim it. This is kinda getting embarrassing. We just need to give it a rest, A3L will quiet down and die endless they do something really fucked up again.

    My time in A3L was both a blessing and a cursing. The natural raw talent I've got to meet over my time there was incredible. A3L at one point had amazing developers who could make things out of scratch. Modelers such as Christian, Hem, and a few other drag along s. These guys are talented and eager to learn and that was an experience I'm glad I got to witness. Like any other community, A3L has both good and bad developers. The difference is who's in charge. When I was one of four project leads with A3L, I championed a new and creative experience that users have never been introduced to. Steaker having been another Project lead agreed with me that we should do an entirely new experience. This would have involved new coding, new buildings, and created a generally new experience. This was our dream. When you look at all the videos in which I've been involved in, you can see it taking place. Steaker and I pressed hard for new and original content. I noticed some of you bringing up the weapons pack, and according to Caiden who did all the contact with external developers, we were allowed to use them so long as we gave credit. So if the developers never gave us permission, then I would like to apologize because me being a PL, I should have taken the time to ensure that we did in fact have permission instead on having to trust Caidens word entirely. Note this is not an excuse for what we have done. I believe in credit going to where it belongs.

    As for the donations, I agreed they were necessary for our survival but I didn't agree with how they were handled. I didn't and still don't agree how some of the decisions over there are made around money conscious decisions. In our PL meetings, we often discussed how to proceed about releasing the content. Caiden instructed me that anyone who donated a certain amount should be allowed to have access. I said fine but as long as I was allowed to bring in regular active members on our forums who hadn't donated in which I often was limited to 25-30 people who had to be approved by him. A3L is money oriented, and that is a shame i'm sad to have had my name tied too. I could have stood up to him, but I didn't and that is a responsibility I now have to deal with.

    Now I know none of this excuses me from any of the past transgressions I may have committed. The only responsible thing I have left is to apologize to those I may have wronged. Caiden and I had a huge fallout and as such I have been banned for whats about to be four months. Steaker has since left after having been told that all his hard work is being removed and Caiden instructed the switch over of our economy focused mod into a altered version of Altis Life which it currently is. Months of progress destroyed because a few devs got lazy and just wanted to essentially screw around. Any admin who has supported me has been phased out by people who agree entirely with Caiden. A3L is in no position to change its current course, and any decision made over the past three months reflect entirely upon his and a few others administration in which I take responsibility for as well because some of those who now screw people over I had put into a position of power such as Zoo. A3L was a mistake on my part but now I have to live with the consequences that is has on my reputation and self worth.

    So I'm sorry. Nothing else I can say. I thought this was going to be a revolutionary new mod in the life of ArmA but instead I helped establish a monster that puts power into those who have influence (youtubers) and not the common man like I had been myself at one point. I wanted a mod anyone could have enjoyed, but instead I got bit by the monster I helped establish. I hope you all can forgive me.

    Honestly, I knew you got banned a while ago and you had a totally different idea. If it would have stayed with you and the original people then probably none of this would have happened. Zoo is a fucking beta power hungry person as for everyone else there right now. I do not know how Caiden sees nothing wrong with whats going on or could tell at all. Just get psisyndicate to stop playing A3L then it falls.

    Also i'm glad that it finally happened, and I wish that A3L servers start popping up like wildfire, not that it would be a good thing for the Arma community but at least he'd loose a bunch of his members.

    Also I think that sharing someone's personal informations is quite immature, something a 12 years old would probably not even do.

    Don't forget to kick for loadFile & preprocessFile or they'll have it downloaded in 10 minutes! ;)

    I was just on Unknown Cheats and they've got all the server files on there. I didn't want to download them as they could make my computer sick, but if somebody's got a virtual machine on their PC and the inclination, they can sift through the detritus to see exactly what's in there (and who wrote it).

    I would assume "their" models are in the download as there was some talk about the file size being 3Gb, but as I mentioned, I didn't download to check.

    I hope that doesn't get me in trouble on these forums as I'm not really advocating piracy (it is already stolen in my eyes).

    I imagine a lot of people have downloaded for the purpose of setting up their own A3L version (which is to be expected given the source and types of people that frequent those forums).
