General Discussion (dev branch)
CaptainObvious replied to DnA's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
It seems you really are serious, that being said, i'm not gonna try to explain you otherwise as you clearly don't (want to) see it any other way. And what comes to major fixes, no, I'm not gonna list them either, they can be found in the change logs as any other fix too, be it major or not. -

Air to Air missiles, and why they need to change
CaptainObvious replied to the_demongod's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Nice one! I'd love to see some real differences in the AtA missiles and this sounds like a really good suggestion, forcing the player to actually think before blasting away, is the target too far/close, is the target moving sideways too fast for the Zephyr to be able to steer in on it, will the target have time to drop flares and so on. Signed. -
Arma 3 , project the cave
CaptainObvious replied to thebuckfastwine's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
No.. just no! That's terrifying just on video, I'd shit myself if I'd have to go there in-game. Good job! -
A plea to BI: Please let us choose when to update. Automatic updates break the game.
CaptainObvious replied to Drumheller's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
It's not gonna happen, Steam was chosen as Arma's platform because of the convenience of the update process, as well as the strong tied-to-account DRM. On a side note, have you disabled Automatic updates on both Steam's as well as Arma's settings? I've never had Arma, nor any other game update if I didn't want them to. -
New Weaponsway is way to much. And holding breath bug?
CaptainObvious replied to HAseONE's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Coulum's post is awesome, as always, I hope the devs see it. Also, thanks to BadLucky1776, that was interesting to read. -
Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
CaptainObvious replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I don't even... I'd be fine with an optional fatigue-o-meter if I can disable it but I don't need such thing myself.- 1932 replies

Do you have a monster pc?
CaptainObvious replied to Sillywabbit's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
If you get a 770, please do tell how it affects your performance, as I'm also running a 570 and am thinking of upgrading. -

Is the new black face compass by design or a bug ?
CaptainObvious replied to BL1P's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
It's a bug, I nor anyone of my friends have it. -
Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
CaptainObvious replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
IDK, I can already tell how fatigued my character is, the sway, panting, vignette and running speed all indicate it accurate enough, I don't need a separate indicator for it. My 2c.- 1932 replies

What really should happen regarding the thermals is that everything else starts showing up too, just like it is for example in a gunship's PIP-screen for a couple of seconds when firing up the thing. Vote here: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=2899 -

Regarding the reload sound, is it now properly positional too? It's a PITA to try to pinpoint the enemy when the reload sound "gets stuck" on your ear. -
Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
CaptainObvious replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
This could be good, just very minor jittering of the gun to give the player a feeling that he is really struggling to keep his aim steady, hnnng! With all due respect, your crusade against the new fatigue is lol worthy, you've stated multiple times you don't like it, now stop it unless you have some constructive feedback.- 1932 replies

recoil, weapon sway, fatigue whats happend?
CaptainObvious replied to Sillywabbit's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
The effect is nothing like passing out, nor blacking out, it's more like your eyes are struggling to focus properly, it's difficult for me to explain it in English but the effect is easily noticeable when you're at a shooting range. -
