  2. humans are not machines. i can completely understand why someone who has been a loyal fan since maybe ofp would be pissed off that bis continues to ignore what they perceive to be no brainer issues. the higher the frustration level, the harder it is to be constructive. especially if it seems that bis is being unresponsive, so it's hard to tell if they're considering some of the popular suggestion(they are not known to be a vocal company in regards to feedback)

    make Arma2 content available for free or as DLC.

    don't really see the appeal of having arma 1 era maps in this game. it'd essentially be like taking a really low(relatively speaking) terrain and dotting it with updated trees, roads, buildings, etc. totally not worth the time it would take to update all that to standard. it's like putting a red dot sight on a musket. might as well take new height map data and make a terrain, the tools and the engine has grown so much, you can literally whip up something superior to anything before arma 2 in 30 minutes with just google map/satellite and compatible height map data.

    if it's possible for people to play without hud on, as in no indication of stance, movement speed, etc, then it's not a problem i should think. nice, always like clean elegant solutions like that. the opposite of "tacticool" shove as much techno trimmed ui into the player's face as possible method.

    a sample pack containing arma 2 mlods would be great. mainly the marines, so we can cannibalize their iotv for a head start on getting more current grunt gear into the game.

    are they going to turn magpul into a playable faction in this game? seems like they're dominating this vision of the future.
  7. remote control already possible since arma 2 no? i remember the mission where you could use a uav terminal? same for the apache mission from oa. seems like a case of using the soul switch feature. unless you want to be in control of two entities at the same time which would be kind of ineffective.

    maybe radius around the player. within certain range, use physics. outside, use ordinary animation.
  9. oh cool, i guess in the future those robot dogs cost nothing to produce and can be easily replaced on the battlefield. i'm with scirm on this one. the people hyping up the robot/future tech angle all sound like children with no grasp of reality or history.

    i'm trying to put some models into the game but the arma 2 rvmats from the example package is giving weird artifacts. could you release the rvmat in editable format so we can see how to get it working properly in arma3? thanks.

    imagination doesn't make things happen, effort and work makes it happen. you should show more respect to a guy who provided this mod free for you.

    yeah i'd be better if there was added functionality where you couldn't exit unless you opened the door first.

    yeah and they said the alpha was going to come out in q3, 2012, then q4, 2012, then just 2012. but i hope you're wrong anyway, because this game needs a lot more development before beta.

    the supine shooting position wasn't bad, i hope they put it back in. it just needs more realistic restrictions and better animations yep, turn deadzone aiming all the way up, then go to sit shoot position, you'll notice your upper body is freely moving within a restricted range. of course your entire body move once you rotate too much, but same principles can be applied.

  20. an explosion with enough force to lift you off the ground is going to kill you. this crap from call of duty where you fall on the ground every 10 seconds because an rpg or grenade exploded 5 feet away from you isn't a good frame of reference.

    Clouds are not so volumetric

    cloud probably collide with mountain's geometry mesh so it cannot intertwine. they probabaly cannot turn off cloud's physics because that's how they simulate wind moving clouds.

  25. those low angled shots really capture the beauty of the new lighting, but is it enough to make me uninstall arma 2? nah
