  1. I was afraid of that. I actually preferred the way it was but I guess I'll make due. Thank you for the reply
  2. Hello all. Sorry if this has been asked or even answered before but I did search and didn't come up with anything. Anyway what I want to know, Is there a way to set the error lights to the bottom left of the gauges like shown in this video . I know they are currently under the vehicle UI default location in the top left but I keep seeing these videos and I want to know how to switch it.
  3. Okay I actually did a forum search on this and what comes up is something similar but not the same thing. From what I can tell there was an issue with the ARCO and the Holo not matching up with the front sight post and the reticule was actually deviated to the right a bit. Now my problem is that when i use the ARCO (I do not know about the holo because i have not tested it yet) the shots hit under the numbers on the right side of the reticule. So essentially if you line up a shot the bullet will always hit to the right of the ARCOs scoped optic reticule. What I am assuming happened is that bohemia moved the reticule to fix the former problem yet didn't actually fix the point of impact from where it was ( which was to the right and aligned where the reticule used to be). Someone please verify this for me and (because I am not sure how) post it on the feedback tracker. If there is already a feedback report on this please point me to it so i can upvote it because this makes the ARCO unusable for me. Side note the ARCO has done this on every gun I have used. ---------- Post added at 17:43 ---------- Previous post was at 17:11 ---------- Okay I have actually done a test with all weapon groups and the ARCO is persistently off to the right with all weapons. If someone gets some time please verify for me so i know this isnt just my problem
  4. Lets be honest. I saw that movie Forrest Gump and that guy ran across the United States like 4 times and he didn't get tired, real life story. Anyway I think the system they currently have in, as already stated, should be a little more lenient. I mean I understand there is a certain necessity to have a believable system in place but do you also realize there are many soldiers in the field that have the ability to do much more than the limitations allow for us to do in this game. I'm just tired of a blurry screen when I'm trying to run across the map in wasteland (yes wasteland). And lets be honest trying to be all super mil sim in wasteland is pretty pointless, It's just a glorified death match. On another note, on missions/coop I do see fatigue effects to be a positive thing. But you don't want to make the ramifications overboard. Once again there are plenty of special forces soldiers that hike multiple miles in and out of an operation area (not saying that they don't periodically rest) but they are exceptionally fit and have that ability to maintain a pace. So people can do this in real life, thus the "blur after 500m is real" is a bunch of BS. Of course running 5 miles with 100lbs of gear on your back is not possible either but you have to have reasonable levels of enacting fatigue for different weights. More leniency is a good thing here too in regards to what we currently have. I just think most of you guys that are hardcore "I want to poop in an army porta-john before a mission" mil sim fanatics, need to gauge down what you consider important. Not because its not important to you, but rather that it's not important to everyone outside of your "elite" group. I do like the mil sim parts of this game but it is a game regardless of what you want it to be. And with mods you can mess up/improve the game to your hearts content ( I hear even dayz added toilet paper, maybe even the lotiony kind). But a lot of people want to enjoy the game for what it is. Last but not least this is not coming from a CoD or battlefield fanboy or anything of the sort. Just a fan of the arma series and I want to see this game shine. /end rant LOL ps yeah i has low post count ... get at me :p
  5. This is all good news to hear. We actually have a member that has an unused steam acct with arma 3 currently on it so that works out well. Once again thank you so much for the responses and I'm glad I better understand what is going on now.
  6. Unfortunately I am quite at a loss when it comes to doing what you do as far as coding DWS. I have a very large appreciation for it though as my clan does enjoy playing it on a weekly basis. So I wont be able to modify anything currently, thus we'll just wait for a newer version, which is unfortunate but a necessary step we must take with everything going on. Also as an update just appeared this morning, I would assume the changes talked about in this thread have been added and Dedicated Clients will not be able to be used now unless you have a steam account with an arma 3 license on it to run them. Then again this work around probably isn't a valid option either as from what dwarden has said I don't believe its been implemented yet. If that is the case then once again I would find it quite frustrating that BIS would in essence "close a door without opening a window" for people that do wish to use the DC even with multiple licenses. My last question on this topic would have to be: Can you run a Dedicated Client and a Dedicated Server off the same "machine" as we were doing or will you now need two different servers - one for the AI and one for the map? It seems like the more I delve into this topic the more frustrating it gets. Anyway thanks Zorrobyte for all that you do man. And good luck on your future work toward continually improving DWS. Our clan is definitely looking forward to it.
  7. Okay after reading this I do have two questions. If we are running two or more individual servers will we have to have a steam account with an Arma 3 license on each one? Also correct me if I'm wrong but from what was stated by dwarden a server with an Arma 3 license can run a Dedicated Client (aka Headless) without a second license needed correct? Because if you have to own multiple licenses just to run a server with a Dedicated client then that will be extremely absurd and that's not even mentioning the cost for a multiple server setup. As stated earlier by someone else its hard enough to keep afloat a server without tacking on the cost of having to buy multiple licenses of the game. Also will the dedicated server binary be out with the next patch, because it will really blow if my clan cant play coop matches just because of "security issues" that may or may not exist especially if you went a different route instead of screwing most of the player base. Just having a hard time following this. Thanks for your time.
