  1. Ok thank you for moving this thread too I realised once I created the thread that I had it in the wrong place. I have both sections bookmarked and I clicked the wrong one when adding this thread. Apologies again.

Ok what I am doing/trying to do is create a Navy search and rescue squad to the game. What I need is this... I need someone who is good with the unit movement side of things to be able to create this

    ACMO_02.jpg

I want the man who is in control of the winch not the actual man on the winch. I would need him to move from a sitting position inside of the heli to that position once the heli is hovering and the side door is opened.

I would also like someone with experience in modelling to create a hardtop roof for the offroad. Like so.

I would like to be able to do this with two units. The rescue diver to be able to come behind the casualty, grab him and swim with him like below.

And finally if someone with modelling experience could create this too

There will be more work to follow but if I can get this done first it would be great :)

Few pics below of what I have done so far.

Still working on some textures but they are almost complete. If anyone has experience with photoshop and can help me add "dirt" and "oil" textures to these helis that would be great too.

  2. Hello I would like to recruit the help of experienced modders. I need someone who is very good with code and also people who are very good a modelling and lastly I need someone who is good with creating unit movements. If you have experience in any of these then please contact me. Steam would be best although I check the forum often. Thanks.

Maybe I have posted this in the wrong section. Apologies if I have.

  3. 1: place 'player' on the map, with or without squad members

    2: name them all eg. unit1, unit2, unit3

3: put heli some where on the map, name it heli. Place a waypoint pretty much on top of the heli

4: place trigger "Radio Alpha" (this is the what you radio for the evac to commence) sync it to helo's first waypoint (the one right next to the helis starting pos)

5: put another waypoint on a helipad (invisible) where you want the LZ to be. the waypoint should be 'load' and its init should be

dostop helo; helo land "get in"

then place another waypoint next to the H pad. In the condition of the waypoint put

((!alive unit1) OR (unit1 in helo)) AND ((!alive unit2) OR (unit2 in helo)) AND ((!alive unit3) OR (unit3 in helo))

add however many units you have in your squad.

6: place a final waypoint that leads to end of mission eg. trigger ending game or another drop zone.

That should solve the part for your chopper to wait for certain units to be in the chopper before it takes off

  5. I have this in my mission.

    commandGetOut units SealTeamSixAlpha; commandGetOut units SealTeamSixBravo;

If your units have group names then obviously replace "SealTeamSixAlpha" and "SealTeamSixBravo" with your group names.

That is in a trigger at the landing zone, and it is grouped to my squads. With "any group member" as the activation and detected by blufor. So change activated by blufor if its not blufor you play as. Hope this helps.

  6. Is this complete mate? Basically ad like with your permission of course to add it to my project am currently doing. I am new to all texturing side of things but I do enjoy playing around with them. What I would like to do is use this excellent ship you have, take away any weapons and use it as a coast gaurd ship to carry my helicopters around or use(somehow) as a mobile refuelling station/HQ. And maybe retexture it to be more fitting with my theme. I will link my post bellow so you can see what I have done. Page two for more pictures.

  7. Ok so I have played around with the textures from take on helicopters and I am impressed with the added detail they give.

    p><p><img src=[/img]

As for adding oil and dirt to these, well I wouldnt know where to begin in making these type of layers lol anyways after doing that SeaKing I thought I would try the other version and I ran into a few problems...

    p><p><img src=[/img]

Still some work to be done But I will get there. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

  8. Paint them all in a different color, check out ingame - make screenshot. That should help.

Yeah I have figured it out now mate cheers. Just trying to locate which is the rear rotor blades now :) But it looks much better already so thanks everyone! I will post a new screenshot of it once I think it is finished.

The Take on Helicopters sample package contains photoshop retexturing templates for the Heavy helicopter, which work perfectly on the CH-49 Mohawk (they're essentially the same model externally):

    http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Take_On_Helicopters:_Samples

I used it to make this reskin and it worked out really well:

All I really had to do to improve over the base template, was add some dirt around the panel lines and some 'grunge' overlays to make the paint look a bit more distressed.

where are the rear rotors on the heavy files? I dont seem to be able to find them
