    Misalignment is when your eye, the rear sight and the front sight are not lined up. In effect, every time you turn with the "weapon inertia" system currently in Dev build. Yes, I am aware that the sights are aligned when you raise them, no the sights are not always perfectly aligned when they are "put up" if you are turning and no, evidently misalignment is not exclusive to hip firing anymore. I hope that categorically answers your questions.

    I wrote a ticket on the tracker with my thoughts on the Weapon Inertia system in dev build. Frankly the issue isn't that it makes or doesn't make the game harder, but the fact that it is an abstraction that contradicts 2 markmanship fundamentals; namely cheekweld and proper sight alignment. As far as I can tell deflection isn't currently modeled properly. For the most part, most shooting scenarios one will encounter in ArmA are not all that demanding. What would be a real test of this system would be to see how it stacks up in a skeet shooting scenario without optics, an activity that in reality demands the shooter to track and lead fast moving targets smoothly while keeping the barrel and sights properly lined up. Trap guns are both long and heavy and yet are some of the most agile pointing guns you will find. If this implementation of weapon inertia can serve that purpose then I'd say that its flaws can be overlooked.

    This is amongst the few mods our group can't do without :) if there is one thing to improve it; it would be the ability to manually dismount the weapon without having to move.

    I too feel that weapon jamming is pretty exaggerated in this mod. Speaking about the average small arm in the hands of an infantryman, they are often not as well cared for or maintained as one would like, however the benefit of the doubt should be given to the players and it should be assumed that the weapons are fairly well cared for. In ACE2, between our members would maybe have a handful of stoppages in the space of a week. This felt fair and right. In AGM, I've had a handful of stoppages even before getting halfway through a combat load. Such mechanics should be considerate of the fact that the player is unable to perform preventative maintenance; if a player has a stoppage through no fault of their own in slow fire that's pretty punishing. I will also say the body armor nerf is over the top as well. Current day plate carriers with SAPI plates do better than what AGM would have one believe.

    Love the mod! Is there anything in the way of scripting for mission makers to disable the modules inside the editor without messing with removing PBOs? Our community needs to turn off some modules as they conflict with similar features inside Alive. Because we use a sync folder between all our members and our game server when our game server updates automatically with PlayWithSix it would mean that our server admin would have to remove the PBOs from the master folder every time and propagate those changes out to members. We'd prefer to avoid that downtime :)

  14. Just finished the game. It has some really great ideas but overall it suffers in execution. I noticed that the loadouts that the missions "adjust" you to seem to have a certain amount of randomization in them, also given that you are always allowed to go to the armory prior to the mission I really don't see any reason necessitating any sort of involuntary adjustment to the player's loadout between missions. Also the adjustment has twice given me 40mm grenades while simultaneously handing me a rifle with no grenade launcher. And chemlights for missions that happen during the day.

  16. Great to see that there is a response to this. :) I'm sure that what you guys have done has alleviated things but I did have a couple more thoughts;
  17. I find myself utterly frustrated with the Elite Warriors side mission This brings me to a global problem with all the side missions in Adapt and even some of the main missions.

    ArmA 2 generates infinite rolling hills at the terrain limits, this is most likely caused by ArmA 3's lack of whatever system was used to do that in A2.

    Law-Giver: Come now, let's not go down that path. The road of logical fallacy is grim, dark and stinky. Chances are if you are here on forums for ArmA, less realistic games don't cut it. Dismissive attitudes towards people who don't agree with you for reasons right or wrong do not foster anything but stagnation. People are mentioning the smoke and also performance concerns because it's only natural that we as human beings want to have our cake and eat it too. If those things cannot be improved on then so be it, if they can then we will all be richer for it. But if no one discusses the potential of improvement no improvement will be had. Peace bro.

    Günter: You can use VTS_WeaponResting in conjunction with VZ_Steadyshot and tweak the sway out of the config. Personally when I tried it and it made marksmanship too easy. The A3 sway behavior is vastly inferior to the twitching you get in A2.

    Having a great time in 1.2! No grey stripe issues anymore :) Only critique is that the bright day colors of Chernarus seem oversaturated, making it difficult to perceive contrasts in value and consequently making things seem closer than they really are and on the same plane.
