    Models are made with multiple parts, but I am aware of the geometry glitch in ArmA 3, as well as in ArmA 2. I believe it has got to do with the collision shape, as I have had problems with it in animating. A couple of weeks ago, I recently tested collisionShape = "A3\anims_f\Data\Geom\Sdr\Perc_Wrfl.p3d" and collisionShape = "A3\anims_f\Data\Geom\Sdr\geom_empty.p3d". It seems the characters disappear if they use geom_empty.p3d, instead of Perc_Wrfl.p3d. (ArmA 2 Devs used geom_empty.p3d for some of their cutscenes, which were quite glitchy as well) But I'll soon find out the results, once they are all in game and ready to use. :)

    UPDATE: Intrepid Class finished, but small details for the front may be done throughout development. Currently, starting progress is being worked on for the Klingon starship, the K'tinga Class cruiser. Intrepid Class: K'tinga Class: Another cool, but well-known starship is also being added to the project, known as the Kelvin Class (or a.k.a. "Kobayashi Maru").
  8. Honestly, since the stuff in the Star Wars mod for ArmA 3 is based from the original movies, there shouldn't be any danger. However, it is very likely you will be sued if you intend to recreate stuff from the latest movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

    Well if you want to use his/her work, you must PM the author. But otherwise, you are not allowed to port a community addon/mod without his/her permission. If you have plans to 'rip' content from another game (which you are kind-of implying), then you are not welcomed here. It is also much more appropriate if you make it public, since you have posted at a community site.

  12. I am well aware of copyright is. <_< (In fact, I am well aware of This as well) First of all, I did not realize f***ing Disney was treating their products and assets like eternal gold. But here is a question I am raising up here ... how come This mod has not mentioned any proof they bought a license? Because they haven't shown any proof, they could be grilled at any moment by Disney, correct? No wonder I gave up Star Wars and became a Trekkie, lol. :P

    The last time I went on DayZ, was when there was no loot and people were running around with just baseball bats in underwear. :P The first thing DayZ Devs need to fix, is the amount of loot taken from server-hoppers (If they can make some kind of restriction for a day or something, that would entice me to coming back). Because last time I was playing for 30 minutes, it was like as if I previewed in the editor with just myself on the map. And honestly, the game needs NPC's, otherwise it will still be known as:

    UPDATE: Did some work on the Intrepid, especially around in the back and neck part of the starship. Currently, I am working out solutions towards the neck part of the ship, as it is a little hard to mesh.
  15. It also depends on their Terms & Conditions policy as well. Some may allow you to use them for other uses, as long as they are free, and some may require permissions and possibly money (like what you have said). There is a Star Wars mod already for ArmA 3, so I suggest you PM pomigit permission to use it with your project.

I am probably going to spill some of my ideas, but, If you are considering a mix of sci-fi ships, I would definitely look at Elite: Dangerous for some ideas (There is tons of youtube videos, if you haven't got the game). It has similar approaches towards what you are looking for, so check it out if you have the time. But a mix of Star Wars and Star Trek, would probably cause me to have a heart attack. :P Darth Vader: "Come and join me with the Dark Side, and we shall rule the universe!" Captain Kirk "Shhhh...   17. Honestly, the Life framework would not possibly work with your concept. I would definitely recommend you build your own functions, dialogs and core files for the mod. After all, you basically cannot handcuff someone floating in space, neither taser them. :lol: Besides, the Star Wars fever may wear off in a couple of months, after the film (not its fans, though). But no doubt there will be a Star Trek fever as well, when the new movie Star Trek: Beyond releases on July 22, 2016. ;) (forgive me, but I am a trekky, lol) Look, it is your choice whether to go ahead with your project or not. But you need to remember that you must carefully decide what you are doing, and if it is going to be worth-while doing. Some of the things most of us consider (including myself) before beginning our project, are these points: 1. Will it be a project that I will consider doing? (If you plan to make it, then you agree to dedicate some of your time on its development) 2. How long will it take, and do I have the time to put the effort into it? 3. What will be the project's name? 4. What basic (or main) features will take place in the project? 5. What resources must I use to make the project? (If it is a community addon/mod, you will need to PM the author permission to include it in your project) 6. Am I prepared to make models, scripts, textures, etc.? If not, then am I prepared to hire/request people to help me? (Some users may want to get payed...be warned...)

    Cheers!Yeah, they will be opened up so you can explore the ship, I am just creating the exterior meshes first :) (Teleporters and ambient sfx will be applied to it as well). The starships will use a VSTOL configuration, but I will have to ask some sci-fi developers on some guidance about this. UPDATE: Today, I have decided to look for more blueprints on different starships. At this time, there are 4 really cool vessels that are being added to the project. These are: Armstrong Class: Mayflower Class: Newton Class: And finally a Romulan ship... the D'deridex Class: The 3 federation starships have been seen in the first modern film Star Trek (2009). The D'deridex, I believe, is seen from one of The Next Generation series (It can be also found in the game Star Trek: Legacy). Nevertheless, I will continue my work on the Intrepid. (Hopefully I should have a lot of time during this week)

    UPDATE: More work developed on the starship (had a lot more time yesterday than the day before) and finally finished. Take a look: :) Next starship to work on will be the Intrepid Class, seen from the series 'Star Trek: Voyager'. Borg starships may be also added in this mod in due course. ;)

    Mostly starships and weapons. However, characters and other things may be introduced throughout development. With regards to the two factions, I was considering a Romulan faction, but that will come later. (Not many blueprints around for their ships or weapons) Small update on the mod, I made some progress on the Saladin Class starship. It's still a bit sketchy, but I only started this 2 days ago. (Final school exams for the year, at the end of this coming Wednesday. After that, major progress will be seen here ;) )

    Cheers! ;) Yeah all I am doing now before the end of this week, is setting up the blueprints so that they are accurate enough for modelling. :) (Also settling into 3DS Max 2015, after being used to the environment of Blender) The first thing to work on will be the Saladin Class scout, which is a little easier to work on. After that, I plan to work on one of the weapons (primarily one of the phasers).
  24. About the weapon reload, It looks awesome :D , but I suggest that you could try experimenting with a hand belt with the mag, to ensure it is locked in. ;) Also, about the new CAT rig you are making, what version would you recommend, higher than 2014? Cheers! Rawner135

    Warning to all life mod players out there!

    Honestly, many users who bought this game were in love with A3L. But this can be seen as an advantage, because these users may not know that these addons/mods can be downloaded and used at any time. The pros: - Popularity. - Socializing environment. - Role play. - Having a great time. The cons: - Cops shouldn't have high-powered rifles, ONLY SWAT. - Donation shops use community addons/mods. - Rebels in a civilian island, does not fit the criteria of armoured tanks, helis and jets. - Admin abuse. - Cops should be trained on servers, such as surroundings, who to shoot, and what rules are put down. - Altis can be seen on the map as a high-popular weed island, as if it is legalized?!? - Younger users should behave themselves, and maintain self-control. - You shouldn't see your own body when dead, or it may provoke your feelings or something worse. - Server staff shouldn't be demanding users to be there at a certain time, even though we still have a real life. - Amounts of money should be balanced, including prices. If its too high, then that role-play will disappear. If it is too low, then it will be un-popular.
