    ArmA III Ballistics Overhaul

ACE3 vanilla config values (especially hit and penetration) are on a hold, since I already asked Spartan to contribute proper values. No point to spent time on sth. that has already been done.
  3. You can combine both modules in any way you want. a) Just wind deflection (wind deflection for all kinds of projectiles including grenades and vehicle mounted weapons) b) Just advanced ballistics (wind deflection and a lot of other stuff for projectiles fired from pistols/rifles) c) Both advanced ballistics and wind deflection (The correct module is used, depending on what is fired, what the module settings are) Edit: The wiki is now correct.

  6. If you want to go in-depth - read this: https://www.horusvision.com/download/manual_Horus_ATrag-v385.pdf You can either enter the cosine of the angle into the C box, or the angle in degrees into the D box. It depends a lot on how accurate you want the solution to be. The best option is to create one dedicated profile per gun/ammo combination you shoot. The predefined gun profiles assume a typical barrel length (usually around 24") and twist (usually right-hand) for the given caliber. 9. That's the case with most modules. But tweaks to vanilla configs (like ace_scopes) can not be a module option. Are you using PwS? If so you have to remove the xxx_compat_xxx files from the addons folder, or wait for PwS to fix it.
  10. Advanced Ballistics is disabled by default: http://ace3mod.com/wiki/missionmaker/modules.html Removing ace_scopes.pbo is your only option to get vanilla scopes back.

    Advanced Ballistics (WIP)

@tebsuuu, all HLC G3 weapons work just fine for me. Are you really using the latest version of Advanced Ballistics (version 3.5)?

    [SP] 360 Degree Training Course

Changelog: -Added Kunduz map -Added ballon (on table) target -Removed ~broken "King of the hill" mode -Removed ~broken "Tank Targets" mode
  13. If you put yourself at a 90 degree angle to the wind you won't be able to measure any wind. The steps required to measure crosswind are: Go to the crosswind page Turn towards the target Set reference heading (Stand up, make sure you have an unobstructed line of sight towards the wind Turn into the wind Read the crosswind value Correct for possible measuring errors (depending on your location)
  14. I can understand your desire to make it more accurate/convenient. But I would like to keep it close to the real device. On a side note: You can get very accurate results if you feed pure crosswind values into the ATragMX (WS - measured crosswind; WD - 3 or 9).
  15. I will change it, if you can prove that the real ATragMX does it differently. For reference: https://www.horusvision.com/download/manual_Horus_ATrag-v385.pdf

    Advanced Ballistics (WIP)

AB standalone does not check if ACE is running. But I will try to reproduce your wind deflection problems.
  17. Yes, but this data is also written back (via setWind, setRain, ...).

  19. Give the "Always display cursor ..." options a try:
  20. The whole "need to press 'Enter' thing" will be gone in the ACE3 ATragMX.
  21. It looks like you did not confirm the zero range. Press 'Enter' while the cursor is in the zero range input field to confirm the zero range after you changed things in the gun column. The ATragMX result with the above data is 2.28 MILs. The ACE3 ATragMX is going to have dedicated Gun / Atmsphr / Target menu pages, which will fix that 'problem'.
  22. New menu pages (for the gun, atmosphere and target column) will be added in one of the next versions. I will try to reproduce the error you reported. Thanks for letting me know about it. Edit: The ACE3 ATragMX is going to support spin drift and coriolis. The bugs in the imperial unit system will also be gone.
