  5. You are trying to say that both calculators only work for some gun profiles? Real world ballistics calculators will only work if Advanced Ballistics is enabled. The ATragMX can handle both, vanilla- and advanced ballistics. Vanilla Ballistics drag is using the airFriction config entry, Advanced Ballistics drag is using the ballistic coefficient config entry. Join our public slack channel if you can't get it working.
  6. Correct. As an aside: Advanced Ballistics is never used for projectiles fired from vehicles.
  7. That is done by the ace_ballistics module. Which is enabled by default.
  8. You only have to place modules if you are not satisfied with the default module options. Advanced Ballistics and Advanced Medical are both disabled by default.
  9. In the HuntIR ammo box (class name: ACE_HuntIR_Box).

    ArmA 3 Ballistics Overhaul Q&A

The muzzle velocity does not really matter, when it comes to making the decision between optimizing for a minimum velocity- or a minimum drop difference. But, for the sake of completeness: Minimal drop difference: MaxRange (m): 1000 MuzzleVelocity (m/s): 899 Max. velocity difference (m/s): 18.91 Max. drop difference (cm): 3.36 Max. tof difference (ms): 13.0 Optimal airFriction: 0.00062461 Minimal velocity difference: Ammo Class: HLC_300WM_BTHP MaxRange (m): 1000 MuzzleVelocity (m/s): 899 Max. velocity difference (m/s): 9 Max. drop difference (cm): 14.21 Max. tof difference (ms): 9.0 Optimal airFriction: 0.00064485

    ArmA 3 Ballistics Overhaul Q&A

Sorry, but I can't follow your explication. Let's look at the Berger Mk248 Mod 1 round (MV: 841 m/s, G1 BC: 0.607): Minimal drop difference: MaxRange (m): 1000 MuzzleVelocity (m/s): 841 Max. velocity difference (m/s): 16.11 Max. drop difference (cm): 3.91 Max. tof difference (ms): 14.0 Optimal airFriction: -0.0006431 Minimal velocity difference: MaxRange (m): 1000 MuzzleVelocity (m/s): 841 Max. velocity difference (m/s): 8 Max. drop difference (cm): 14.3 Max. tof difference (ms): 9.0 Optimal airFriction: -0.00066119 Optimizing the airFriction for a minimal velocity difference lets you end up with a far greater drop difference. Of course, both types have advantages and disadvantages.

    ArmA 3 Ballistics Overhaul Q&A

Have you ever considered to minimize the drop difference instead of the velocity difference?
  13. There is no other way of treating it. Unless you change the module option, like Glowbal suggested here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?191716-ACE3-A-collaborative-merger-between-AGM-CSE-and-ACE&p=2954051&viewfull=1#post2954051
  14. ace_mk6mortar---------- Post added at 12:20 ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 ---------- Remove ace_recoil.pbo @regiregi22, @beastcat, take a look at: http://ace3mod.com/wiki/feature/
  15. No, Advanced Ballistics only affects small arms fire. That's not possible.
  16. The zeroing seems to be broken in vanilla Arma 3 ... I will investigate this further, but it's definitely a new issue and not related to any 3rd party mods.
  17. @kgino1045: http://ace3mod.com/wiki/development/setting-up-the-development-environment.html
  18. Sorry for the late response. However I'm not able to reproduce your issue. That's what I get, when I use your resolution of 1600x900 (aspect ratio 16:9): http://abload.de/img/arma3op_2015_06_01_155nufm.jpg (115 kB) ---------- Post added at 13:49 ---------- Previous post was at 13:47 ---------- That is not possible, because discreteDistance is based on vanilla- not advanced ballistics.
  19. Advanced Ballistics standalone allows you to fine-tune your zero: - Default keys for scope zero adjustment are (CTRL+SHIFT+UP, CTRL+SHIFT+DOWN)
  20. After you hit the '-' key you turn into the wind, then use this value in the ATragMX.
  21. Delete all gun profiles and restart the mission.---------- Post added at 17:12 ---------- Previous post was at 17:10 ---------- The ACE3 ATragMX does it already. However, no guarantee that I will port it back.---------- Post added at 17:13 ---------- Previous post was at 17:12 ---------- @J3aLeiNe, you need to press 'Enter' (while the cursor is in the zero range input field) to confirm the newly entered zero range.
  22. No, but you can change the scope zero in the interaction menu (equipment -> "Set zero range"). Yes. Google Maps or this file: https://github.com/acemod/ACE3/blob/master/addons/weather/functions/fnc_getMapData.sqf#L17-L37 All of this is already implemented.
  23. We can't help without more information. Dedicated server? Type of mission? Modset? Player count? RPT logs? There is most likely something very wrong with your setup if your FPS drop from 30 to 5 with stock ACE3.
