While this is a must-read (!), I have to say that most of the scripting stuff is outdated, because it mostly deals with sqs instead of sqf.
The best tutorials on sqf-scripting I've read were:
Basic SQF-Scripting guide version 3.2 by Taurus
galevsky, the best I can suggest you is to get used to the "non-scripting" and then slowly transist (right word?) to sqf-scripting.

I've made a bunch of tutorials for people with zero knowledge in the ARMA 3 Editor. It covers the very basics from placing a unit to simple mission building without going too deep into detail : )

all the items u described are in my ARP Items pack for arma 2. they are inventory items but when you drop them on the ground they are not modeled so they are the default green satchel bag. ill see how im gonna implement this into this mod and maybe make them cross reference at some point. but thanks for your inputI tried to use your ARP-Addon in ARMA 3 and got the error "Addon 'ARP_Items' requires addon 'CAWeapons' ". How did you make it work in ARMA 3?

Are the map-objects like houses and airport control tower in there? Had problems finding these. If they are, feel free to ignore/delete this thread : )
