  1. I'm curious as how to change the mission image when selecting a map? (Shown below in red) http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj538/Troyberthaase/arma32013-07-1010-18-34-91_zpsb9873f46.png (802 kB)
  2. Can you export out of photoshop a .paa? Also, I'm reading the guide you sent me for "Mission Overview", and I am slightly confused. I see that you have to use a Description.ext file, but where do you put this? My map is a MP Coop mission. Does the description.ext go into Docs/Arma 3/missions/'my mission' ? Thanks

Can play MP with Alpha Lite?

Okay, so your saying something that they give you free of charge is disappointing you? Maybe you should read the title of your own thread and think about it for a while. Your getting something for free, something that doesn't even need to be given to you in the first place, and you have the nerve to complain about it. I think a person with that kind of outlook is the one that needs to do some deep thinking. Also, I think they are doing a fine job in sales (judging by weeks on top steam sales) and customer relations already, and I don't find trying to greed your way into free multiplayer content does anything for either of those aspects of business.

Can play MP with Alpha Lite?

I find it funny how people try and argue things that they get for fucking free.

    Prone on the down-slope

Arma 3 Pilates Simulator I'm guessing they do this to your upper-body to allow you to aim better on high angle slopes, but I don't believe this is the best method to do this. They actually already have a better system by limiting the angle that you can go prone on (automatically forces you to crouch at steep angles). Why not just remove the upper-body float, and lower the angle you can go prone even more so the aiming is not effected by being prone at a steep angle. Summary: You shouldn't be able to prone at these high-angles anyway. Limit high-angle prone (even more than it is) and you don't have to implement a weird fix like floating upper-body.

Can play MP with Alpha Lite?

@Mirudes I'm just curious, what are you trying to achieve with this thread? Are you saying you would like Multiplayer to be added to the Alpha Lite? A simple yes or no would be sufficient.

Can play MP with Alpha Lite?

The Alpha Lite allows people skeptical about the game the ability to test the mechanics on their system for fucking free. Where do you get the idea that any of this is for gaining friends on Steam?
  8. "FIX for lots of problems" Just curious, where do you see any fixes related to Arma 3?

    Xbox controller

You are really the lowest of the low sir. You are everything one should strive not to be. I will not waste any more time on you.

...and you still continue to debate Keyboard/Mouse Vs. Controller when it has nothing to do with anything involved in the OP's post. True "Vet" I will indulge you in your advice just for the sake of humor: Have you ever considered the OP is playing non-multiplayer? No, that thought would not cross your mind because it is logical.

I wouldn't do BIS a disservice by associating these so called "vets" with them in anyway, so no harm done.

No one is debating which is better to use, so the advice is inane. I'm on a high horse? It's good to see what "Vets" have to add to issues on the forums. I'm guessing "crushed" means, they will ramble on about advice that is not warranted.

So what does this have to do with the OP's issue? Nothing. Can you explain why you added no viable help to his issue? I think you were right calling for the moderators, as there is a user here adding no substance to this discussion.

    Xbox controller

No, the ignorant person that is adding nothing to the issue the OP is having is here.

    Xbox controller

I don't think the OP gives a shit about your opinion on Keyboard/Mouse VS. Controller. He clearly has a reason for using a controller, and that's the end of it. As for the OP's issue, the gamepad support right now is only partly finished, but there are programs like Pinnacle game profiler that allow you to custom map controls to your desire (http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/). They will likely finish the gamepad support as the Alpha/Beta progress's.
  16. Arma 3 isn't even released yet you clown. What planet are you from.
  17. I am glad people are finally discussing this point. Movement has to be the biggest differential between the big name FPS nowadays. Note - This is my first Arma game, and have been anticipating it after being thoroughly dissatisfied how BF3 has turned out in terms of movement There is nothing I hate more in an FPS than obscenely quick movements (likes of which you see in CoD, and to a slightly lesser degree BF3). First off I would like to say that I am overjoyed of not having a jump function. Just looking at a game like BF3, it is clear that a jump function implemented horribly can and will be overused to an obnoxious level. As far as determining how legitimate the movement is in a FPS, I think of it in terms of watching a firefight take place as a whole (from a 3rd party perspective). When I watch a firefight in ArmA 3, it just looks correct. When you watch a firefight in games where the movement levels are at an extreme degree, it stunts the legitimacy of the game. It will always be in the back of your mind, no matter how many kills you get or how badass you feel, what your player is doing is just absurd in terms of firefighting. There isn't any swift movements in Arma 3 whether it be jumping, hyper accelerating, extreme strafe sprinting. In Arma 3, it all boils down to how you approach a situation, not how FAST you can approach the situation. The last game I have played that had a remotely legitimate feeling of controlling a soldier was BF Bad Company 2.
  18. Seems like a great method to help fix this glaring issue. There should be no reason someone beyond 500m in grass should be more visible than someone at 50m in grass.
  19. While playing the Scuba Showcase mission, I noticed a few issues that stood out in this otherwise amazing scenario. Note - I am playing with the enemy AI difficulty on 0 - While completing the task to sabatoge the boat from underwater, it seems that the AI automatically get detected of your presence once you complete the action of sabotaging the boat. After a few playthroughs, there are also times that the siren gets alarmed immediately after sabotaging the boat. - The AI detection of you during this scenario seems incredibly high (even while the AI difficulty is on 0). I even encountered the AI at the AA launcher base detecting me while slow crawling in the mountain to the south, in heavy brush. While I understand them detecting you at distance to some degree, the level I experienced was just absurd. - While firing at the AI at the AA launcher base, the bullets don't seem to effect them most times, even while clearly aiming at them. I have tried from close range, and long distance, but both experience this issue. The fact that you cannot kill them, and area capable of spotting you while prone in the mountains makes this portion of the scenerio obscene, difficulty wise. I have concluded there must be some issue related to the alpha that causes these AI malfunctions, but I thought it would be wise to bring these particular problems attention. Thanks
