How to force the main character to be played in coop?

Everytime I modify my SP missions into CP in run into the same problem: How can I force at least one player to play the main character, the one that was designated in single player? And as a second question: disableAI = 1 doesn't seem to work in my description.ext, I still have to deactivate AI in the multiplayer lobby. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance! Surf -
Is there a way to set it up so each player can get 1 revive only?

Finding unusual scenery on the map and weather settings that inspire me to create new missions apart of the usual blue sky - kill enemies at 400m range.

I like both, humor and desperation, fear or hatred, one word having it dark, but more import is the skill of acting. Not every voice actor or even writer of a script if it's text only is a born comedian. I like that kind of dry humor that can get one person to laugh out loud and the other one to not even recognise it. Colonel McKnight of Black Hawk Down is one of those examples. Makes me laugh my ass of while not destroying the immersion for other people that wouldn't appreciate humor in such situations. Also plan in repetitions, if you hear the same "joke" after each respawn it will become annoying soon.

For everybody else running into this problem, I had file-extensions disabled so I couldn't see the init.sqf was in fact a .txt Thanks again, Prof! You made my day!

Also the factory settings for precisionEnemy are too high. Either set them to 0.2 to 0.3 in your yourname.Armaprofile or set the game to regular or easy and set the options to your liking. Unfortunately this won't help you on servers that use different settings. Make sure you have superAI unchecked. I thought this would only affect allied AI but I read different somewhere. -
In the meantime, can you please help me get it to work? It just behaves as if it wasn't there, no hint, no revive.

What's up with new players not wanting the game to be realistic anymore?

Played OFP and loved it for its sandbox. Arma 1 & 2 sucked to me, too stiff, to much hindering gameplay, need I mention the AI? That's where I came back to Arma when DayZ made the AI and the stiffness irrelevant. Now with Arma3 I'm really getting the feel for it, animations and gameplay are much more fluid, even the AI is bearable. The things that make it less realistic are the futuristic setup and its weapons that are less effective or userfriendly than today's weapons. Also focusing on symmetric warfare is a big mistake in my opinion. Anyways I like the idea of the OP joining the Canadian Army! -

I understand the ideal would be to have the server set the difficulty of a mission but unfortunately small changes to these values can render a mission unplayable on veteran that's fairly easy on regular. This is why I would like to dictate the skills inside my mission, also to make sure it's playable with (single) players that don't hassle with their difficulty levels. I trial and errored with the description.ext and init.sqf since I'm inexperienced there and didn't get it to work. So how to override server settings please?

Can you please help me get it to work? It doesn't show the version hint and I can't revive my mates. - I have put the folder "FAR_revive" into the folder of my mission (and also into the MPMissions and Missions folder to be sure). - I've added this line to my init.sqf "call compileFinal preprocessFileLineNumbers "FAR_revive\FAR_revive_init.sqf";" - playtested it in the editor and after creating an MP game, playing a medic. - tried it with and without respawn Would love to use it in my missions, so can you please let me know where I'm stupid? :-) Thanks!

Here my request for a script, please: A private stash or safe. A script that puts an ammobox near your spawn and another one at your extraction zone. Before finishing your mission put your best equipment into the stash where it will be saved. Once you play a new mission that equipment can be found in your stash near the spawn if the mission is supporting this script. This way mission designers can decide if they want to allow custom loadouts or not. The content of the box will be saved at the clients drive. This is giving the player not ALL items to chose from but only the ones he "earned". No mods required. If anybody is interested in making this happen I will be happy to discuss it further via PM. Hang in there, Wolf! Took me quite a while to like the game but now I'm really a fan. You need a sufficient computer, you need the right settings, right controls, headset, good light in your room and no additional noise. Learn which weapons work best for you and avoid the ones that don't! Don't give up, there's a lot of fun and excitement somewhere in there! -
Check out my post. Mess around with setskill. Also be sure to check the discussion about how loud suppressed weapons still are. If you want to make sure your main target doesn't switch to "Aware" make his guards green army while the target is opfor. Or try to manually set him back to "Safe" once you're close. I wouldn't mess with careless since for mission design it's needed if you really want to have the AI act as you want so the mission doesn't get stuck. SetCaptive true would result in the AI not getting attacked and you don't want that. Use "Safe" instead and modify AI with setskill etc to your liking! That way they can already stumble over you until they react and open fire.

Looks great so far! Reminds me of where Neo and Agent Smith have there final fight. I would also like to have it AiA optional. Best would be if you could place it somewhere on Altis, because a real city is what's missing. But anyway, this is going to turn out great! Keep it up!

How to make AI's shooting accuracy

No, leave the water task in, just make it work! I really liked the idea of rescuing a lonely soul of the ocean. Maybe find a workaround, like adding a red item underwater that looks like the water is tinted as in real life. If you don't get the rope work in a better way, spawn a rescueboat out of sight, once you're at the LZ and let that pick up the wounded and diver. And increase the radius for the diver to jump. And concerning the land missions, would be cool if the fieldsoldiers would keep you up to date, repeating the state of the wounded and how long it will take. Also some sounds of the Medic or the injured during flight would be cool, depending on how critical it is. This would create another link to the injured. The three victims I picked up all survived, will there be soldiers dying as well? Maybe during flight? Thanks

Just gave it a few rounds and must say, it's really a brilliant mission! You can see how much passion you guys put in it. Here's some comments, still rating the mission stellar already: - I wasn't able to spot the guy in the water and the diver said "lower", so I did but he didn't jump. What should I do? - How large is the radius around the LZ in which you're allowed to land? Do you have to get out? Wasn't clear there. - I keep missing the radiomessages, giving you the details of the next assignment. Maybe add a simple radioclick sound? - Do you plan to add voices like "Over here!" or voices of pain of the injured? Thanks for this great mission!

If you're into mobile computers I can fully recommend my new laptop: Intel i7 4700Q 2.4 GHz AMD Radeon HD8970M 16 GB ram Samsung Pro SSD 15" screen at 1920 x 1080 Win7-64 Pricetag: 1.370 € in Germany The autodetect gave me 60 fps in the editor/sp with everything maxed. After switching off clounds, vsync and all that blurry post effects and reducing visual distance and objects to 1000 I'm running between 80 and 120 frames, it looks and feels just great.
