    no nativ englishspeaker:) here, but i understand what you mean. if BI is open-minded they should simply ask the community what is the best for all. make some poll´s for price in relationship to content.... it´s sounds easy but i guess it will end up in chaos. i feel like an animal used for experiments

    i bought arma2 and all the dlc content after playing the lowres versions and if BI is interested in our opinion about the new DLC system here is mine: do not like ingame advertised DLC´s while playing the game- arma 3 is not a mobile game. do not like to pay for a single chopper or gun and so on... i like the Kart DLC and 2$ is not to much for me. i am more in SP and the editor so a lot of new content with new missions or campaigns would be great everything over 15€ and i am out. don´t make this game look like a mobile clown game. ingame quote "uhhh f*** that hurts...."

  5. Hi, has anybody the same problem or knows what´s wrong here? Problem is only on Buzzard- no mods installed and nothing changed at all. It´s Arma3 latest Dev-build. I made the filecheck with steam and all is fine. This is only when textures set to ultra!

    if it´s an driver issue- i use 320.20 for the GTX680m but the problem is new for me and wasn't there before and i am with 320.20 since 1 or 2 month now... i have changed to the regular version of arma3 but the problem is still there. ....it´s already in the feedback tracker http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15014&nbn=1

  12. @tpw the fog addon is not shown in the activated list ingame. Civ, Bleed, HouseLights are...and are working. i tried the script but there is no fog. is it just me? did i forgot something?

  14. where the cashflow starts, the friendship ends.....and multiplayer games. it seems to be risky cause it´s nowadays mentality of many people to get money for a simple question and if i have to pay for a little sniff...sorry i don´t make so much money at work. what´s about multiplayer games? the game it´s self looks good but the low quality addons which i don´t want to buy make the game looking bad. but the idea itself seems to be logic and for high quality and given support for a mod or addon i would pay. How? build up an ARMA3ADDONSTORE
  15. Another way to gain FPS and smooth the gameplay is to give arma3 core 2-7 and deactivate core 0-1 in task manager. for me 5 xtra FPS but this with a mobile cpu and gpu.
  16. i run the game on an alienware m17x r3 laptop (thanks furret:)) and it runs fine min 40F max 70F 1600x800 textures max, objects very high, terrain high, clouds normal, shadows high, aa 2x, ssao disabled, pip disabled VD 3800 OD 2200. win 7 64bit and the CPU trick to use core 1-7 in task manager. if i use core 0 -7 stuttering is back in game. with above settings it plays fluid. i killed most background tasks and gpu usage is 100% and it´s now a gtx680m and no ati card anymore cause i had so much stuttering with amd drivers.

    hi, i am a kid and i am standing in a big toyshop and the owner says to me: hey kid you can take what ever you want u only have to give me 30 bucks. i look around the shop and tell him that all toycars have the same wheels and i wont take any of them because it´s copy and paste. he tells me that there is no matter to worry about the copy and pasted wheels cause lots of nice people will throw nice new toy´s into the shop and i have to wait. i replay to him that i am a kid and patience is not implemented yet. so i run out of the shop and damn it was the only toy shop in universe. open mouthed, wide open eyed starring at the forum content today and i see all is copy and paste..... i guess people at BIS know exactly what is going and what is not- damn they have brains (they are the brains)

So here are better examples and a new idea too realize this: Example 1 (overview of a city ca. 2,5 x 2,5 km): Example1 by night: Example2 night large view distance: Example3 Detail: Example3 only light texture: Overview light texture only: What i´ve done is i took the whole street net of the city (it´s one object 800kb) and put a texture on it with an alpha channel. Here is the texture: i raised the streetnet object to the hight of an street lamp so that it is floating over the original street. Would this be possible in Arma/ on Altis? So when i grab all streetobjects from altis and merge them to one object and re texture this object now with the white-dot texture- would it be possible to make it visible only at night? could this be done with an addon? When 'yes' i would install my armatools and try my best to get this in game.

Hi all, please have a look at this thread i started: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?163058-Max-View-distance-of-lights-in-towns-and-other-light-sources-Ideas my questions are would it be possible to change a light source from a street lamp or car lights to a white textured square or dot to make the street lamp/ car lights visible for view distance from 4000 to 12000? is it possible only with changing the engine or can it be done as mod? it would be so great to fly by night and see some cars driving along the streets over a long view distance and see the run of the streets funkotron
  21. Hi Community So, what is the max view distance for light sources in arma 3? How many light sources are max. visible? Is there a way to tweak the view distance of light sources ? Is there a way to fake light sources and make the visibility of towns and streets better at night ? (fake white texture dots for street lamps, cars and buildings) When i fly over altis by night with a viewdistance set to 8000 then the radius of visible light is very limited. Thanks for any information and suggestion......:cool:

Example one is an overview of the Scene at daytime: Example two is an overview of the Scene at nighttime: more distance to scene: a bit more distance: and this is an overview in detail: as you can see the lights are visible over a long view distance and these are only white textures. the illumination on the streets are invisible white planes which only throw the light to the street surface maybe i´m totally wrong with this but it´s an idea and i hope someday i will see (fake) lights all over altis by night...
  23. @ AUS_Twisted that is exactly what i think about...Textures for large view distance (6000-12000). i´m no modder but i will put some examples here later which i prepare right now. The picture i posted above is from gta 5.
  24. here is an example: not the best (a bit swanky, tacky, showy) but that shows what i mean.... @GranolaBar i know about the setting for max dynamik light and this is the point! can we have more influence to settings like max dyn light? is there a way to expand the view distance of light sources? and is there a possibility to mod something like for example: white or yellow texture dots with a little amount of glowing for street lamps and car lights? it´s hard to explain cause my english is stuttering like altis at 12000VD
