Well actually I met a guy that was studying saxophone at a music academy. He came back when the situation got really messy.

I saw something about that in Crimea on Russian news, but the people that are there and possibly involved in the fighting are Serbian students that went to Donetsk to study. They went there because Ukranian government offered scholarships for Serbians, and probably got engulfed by the crisis. There was also a problem when a Serbian football club played a friendly match against the Donetsk representatives.
