  1. That's a good idea. In the mission editor you could pop up a screen that accesses a *.txt file in your mission folder. This way you might be able to copy/paste without alt+tab or working in windows mode. Take notes or use a standard txt file with your scripting cheat sheet.
  2. BI should make a DLC that includes A2 vehicles updated for A3. Give it for free to those that already own A2, but charge for those that don't.
  3. Awesome project I could see using this same idea to create a 'working' radar by assigning symbology to detected aircraft on the map, and assigning track numbers.

We don't want everyone to have to leave the server to reset one mission area. But thanks.

    AC-130X for Arma 3

    Everyone else is having the same problem. The designer is working on a few updates/enhancements, so when that's done I'm sure he will make it work properly.
  6. If I have a group of 50m x 50m boxes with EOS, is there a way I can 'reset' the whole area back to red? My issue is that I'd need to find a way for this to sit on a 24/7 server and be able to run and reset this whenever needed. Does this reset automagically? Or is there some addAction I can tie into an object or something?

    In my area of the world they actually add fake foliage and try to make cell towers look like palm trees.

    It would be nice to have an addon that simulates a working radar. When aircraft come within a certain distance of a unit it will create a marker on the map and assign a random (or not so random) 4 digit number. This number can then be used as a reference to point out the contact... "Look at track 4123", instead of "You see that bad guy to the northest, the one a little on the left?"
  10. I make my images with a rectangular ratio, and once I'm happy with it I resize it to a square (like 512x512). Then when it's in the game it will stretch to near it's intended look. Don't know why. It works for me.

    This is socialism. If you don't do anything to support society then society shouldn't be supporting you. It's fairly simple. Some jobs pay more because their value to society is greater. If you want to be an artist you do so with the knowledge that you might not make much money doing that. If you're good enough you'll add to society, and your reward will be that someone will buy your work. Strive to teach marketable skills instead of just giving out free money, because in the end 'free money' is just money that's been stolen by government.

    I setup a temporary OPFOR base by the airstrip at the Almyra dry lake. It should be interesting to see how my guys try to attack the place with no cover in sight.

    What are your system specs? I've seen evidence that people using 32-bit operating systems are seeing the same problem that you are.
  16. It's not there in the standard mission editor. You might be able to use them if someone updates the editor mods that add more ingame objects. I haven't seen that update yet.

    You have a lot of square kilometers worth of water, and besides some junk on the ocean floor you've failed to take advantage of it. That's my biggest gripe. A few little boats and a tiny sub really misses the mark. I'm not asking for giant warships, but some merchant ships for waterborne troops to interact with would've been great. Or oil platforms (I heard there might be one, but I haven't seen it).
  18. There's a lot of things that can be scripted in, but what I'm asking for is that it's officially included in the game, if by post-release patch if need be.
  19. I still think it's a good idea to do something like this with a shape where you can define the size and orientation versus a circle that takes a bunch of space. If I want to turn a field into a base with no grass I have to littler the landscape with yellow circles.
  20. Before it's too late, please transition the Grass Cutter function from the Helper objects to a module. Some people can't handle the map with grass on, and it's not always available to turn grass off. This would help solve that problem without spamming a game map with large garish yellow circles.
  21. Perfect. If this goes in a modpack then I don't have to bother scripting it into every mission I make.
  22. That's a different script. You can find them if you search the forums for 'view distance'.

    Civilian vehicles besides 'Offroad', which ironically enough sucks when off road.
