  1. This OP just made me very happy. With the lack of updates to the Nimitz i already had a modeler working on a new one just to fix the problems with the gaps. Very glad to learn someone way smarter and more experienced on modding is on the case.

    I think he is referring to the fact that the AFM is not part of the DLC and as such not something you would have to buy. The dlc will consist of content not features. Any features (shooting from vehicles, afm) will be included in the game via patch for everyone to enjoy where as the new choppers being included will only be pilotable by people having bought the dlc. At least that is how i have undersootd it. Personally though I think a startup procedure is a waste of time that doesn't add any value to the gameplay and if it were included that it would be alongisde a difficulty option to turn that off.
  3. I am sure that in the real world folding the blades is a non-trivial task if it isn't automated or even when it is. As of yet i am undecided on how realistic (read time consuming) i wan't to make the logistics on the nimitz for our ops. It could be just an action to activate the animation or i could have 4 guys standing there working on it for 10 minutes. Point is without the ability to fold them it is likely one can't even fit them on the lifts which is my concern. Beyond that the saved space is added bonus when towing the stuff about in the not too roomy hangar deck. WarLord: I am aware a feature like this is low on the priority list, but it makes me happy it is being considered.
  4. Hey, Can't wait start using these puppies within our community. A quick question. As we are about to start using the Nimitz to base our missions from, would it be possible to add an animation that folds the blades so that we can fit a few more on board? (http://www.davisaircraftproducts.com/assets/images/Blackhawk.jpg). I am not sure at all if it is something that can be done in the scope of the arma 3 engine but the folding wings on the f-18 give me hope. Keep up the good work!
  5. Hello, Thanks for the update! Will be giving it a test run when i get home. A few quick questions is the auto-eject bug fixed in 1.7? or is that in 1.8? And do negative speeds still eject you? and if so would it be possible to check for height from ground or something additionally while evaluating the need for auto-eject. Currently my towing script is crippled due to it not working for pushing only pulling (you can push but the autoeject kicks in almost immediately rendering the plane unusable). My current workaround is a setPos implementation but now it also only works on flat surfaces.

  7. Hey, I was just wondering about the ETA on the 1.7 F/A-18 and 1.0 SU-35. Saul said 1-2 weeks 3 weeks ago and we are itching to get our modpack updated. I can understand that not everything goes to plan everytime and delays are inevitable. All I need at the moment to make decisions is an updated ETA please. Thank you :)
  8. Well that is exactly that, the steam list doesn't work with partial words, the gamespy list would work in the example i gave
  9. if your servername is "MyAwesomeServerName stuff" and you filter for "MyAwesomeServer" it won't show up, only filtering for "MyAwesomeServerName" or "stuff" would work You can check if this is your problem by removing all filters and going through the list and checking if your server is on it. If it isn't your problem is something else.
  10. The steam list filter doesn't work with partial words, so you need to use complete words for it to work. Was my problem at least. SITREP-00051 had a mention of this.

    Dynamic load balancing of AI

    A balancing system to balance AI on connected HC's and the server itself could be handy. However using actual clients probably won't work without some sort of trickery. We had a broken script on a mission one night that ended up spawning a few AI on each connected client instead of just the server. The server FPS took a nosedive along with all the connected clients due to the immense amount of data that each client had to send to the server which was then sent to other clients. It could have been the initial syncing that just never resolved but spreading a few AI on all clients will likely not work. Identifying clients with good fps and high bandwith to take a larger amount of AI like the HC's might work though.

    J.S.R.S. 2.2 Soundmod

    Is it just me or did you somehow fail with signing of the mods? there is around 19 pbo's that are modified after the bisign has been created and i am getting verification errors on my server. EDIT: i guess you noticed :P
