Imho, it's ALL ALL because the default control scheme MAKES flying artificially harder.

Rebind correctly your keys, and you'll see the choppers are super easy to fly :

Mouse to control the Cyclic == mouse up down for nose up / down, mouse left/right for roll left/right

A and D for pedal left/right

W and S for collective up and down

REMOVE any binding non related to the above (like the weird "turn left/right" thing)

And that's it. With these flying is a piece of cake

We are all waiting for a better flight model which should come from Take On Helicopter (a BI helicopter simulation), which would arguably make flying harder.

[New update, worse FPS?]

Radeon 5870 here too like another, I have been on the dev channel for most of Alpha so far, latest update that was pushed to 'Stable' channel has better FPS but when I run forward or drive I notice it stutters a bit.

Overclock your CPU if you can. I overclocked my AMD 965 BE 3.4ghz to 4ghz for Arma 3 and it plays great on high - ultra with sweetFX.

Agreed. Something like the Battlefield games command menu, hold down space or w/e and move your mouse in a direction to choose option... It's quick to use and can list many options.

Hmm I wasn't sure if I had better or worse FPS... In infantry showcase I think I get better FPS but helicopter showcase was about the same but now broken as above.

I noticed today that I had much higher FPS and can ultra it all with vsync off on a 965 @ 3.8ghz lol :D
