How to use Virtual Arsenal like the Virtual Ammobox System?

Neither works, where do I put them? Do I have to name the box "myBox"? Do I put it in a box's init field? In the Description.ext? In an init.sqf? I have no idea, these are the details I need explained, I'm a scripting newb basically. A step-by-step would be great. -

No one has explained to me what was wrong with the old muzzle configs. I perceived 0 issues with it nor has anyone I play with. I'm all for improvements, but if they are going to effect mods negatively I'd like an improvement that actually does something noticeable. You wanna talk about improvements? I mentioned Weapon resting, which is also a simple addition. -

Where are these big issues and bugs with weapons sounds that required breaking every single A3 weapon mod known to man? Were there crashes? Corrupted files? Huge FPS dips? Children dying in the streets? What!? The only thing me or anyone else I know that plays the game seemed to notice is now some of our favorite mods are broken! All pain no gain on our end. Do the devs not realize this is a game with less than a complete set of content that relies on mods and only seems completely fulfilling when mods are used to fill the gaps? Do they not realize breaking a bunch of popular mods to fix some sloppiness that only code monkeys notice is a pretty bad case of bad priorities? BI for the love of all that is deemed holy learn to prioritize! I got a guy in the Bootcamp campaign made only to serve casual game players (which BI put all their recent effort into) telling me about controlling breathing and stance to steady my aim in combat like in real life, an update that made inertia and sway more problematic like in real life! HA! What about that thing soldiers do to counteract all that? Ya know where they rest their weapons on the nearest stable surface or use their damn bipods! Because that has been something missing from the series from day one, has been requested and desired HEAVILY by the dedicated, loyal community for years, and is so easy to implement that a 15 year old with an interest in scripting could manage implementing it! What about that? No, we get Metal Gear Solid VR Missions, more training missions, and weapon stability nerfing that rubs salt in the wounds and makes us more painfully aware of the fact weapon resting is missing as a key core gameplay feature! You broke a bunch of my mods and continue to fail to implement an obviously needed feature that everyone is starving for! DAMMIT! You make a great game at it's core and no one else makes a game that fills the role but damn you have to reavaluate your prioritization of your support for it. Being a fan of your game is like dating a someone who's sexy and awesome but occasionally drives you into homicidal rage with some really weird querks! /rant -
Robert your RH pistols and M$/M16's are soundless after the 1.24 patch. Please fix!

How does that work? I put the virtual ammobox code into y description.ext and now my mission crashes at startup. The wiki gives no indication where to put the code. This is way more convoluted to implement than the playermade VAS script. I need help. -

Awhile ago BI changed the impact effects, only dustier/softer ground surfaces have dust, more solid ground just has bullet holes. Realistic. Sometimes bullets go into the ground with minimal fuss. On other surfaces they will make a puff of particulate. -

Minor gripe/bug, the mod seems to not keep tally of kills for the server host, I'll kill X amount of enemy units and maybe 5% will be recorded in the score screen. -

New DEV Branch turns off the sound for this pack, apparently BIS is changing how sounds are handled soon. Massi should accomodate. -

1. My bug did not affect me without mods or scripts like VAS. The nature of bugs is they may not affect all equally. I don't doubt that your bug occured without mods. 2. The fatigue bug is the most tolerable so I can deal with that. I don't run with heavy loads and don't sprint except for emergency displacement anyway. 3. At least the sound bug has not infiltrated the current stable build. 4. Toadie, could you put the .4 version of HLC Core up on PlayWithSix? Without it withsix is useless for these mods and I have to manually download. That's fine, but my clan mates will be far less reluctant to download it and therefore ruin my chances of coop with these guns. -

I have found several known causes. Mods that effect weapon inertia/sway like VTS weapon resting or TMR. Scripts, only one I know is Virtual Ammobox System -
Latesr update glitched recoil for weapon resting mods in SP

For some reason now weapon resting mods (VTS weapon resting or TMR) now cause weapons to only have recoil on half or one third of shots (easiest to tell in rapid semi auto, slow semi auto is fine) but the issue is only in Singleplayer. The animation-altering HLC weapons also do this. This makes stuttering recoil in full auto and is really annoying, and also makes semi auto feel really weird. Any ideas for a fix? Anyone else having this? Just try singleplayer with these mods to see if you have it too. Oh well, at least my MP is unaffected...other than not letting my friends see my hosted games without a lot of port forwarding. -

Never understood why BIS add in changes to Stable Branch that are incomplete. That is what DEV is for. -

After the update VTS causes a weird glitch in singleplayer only. Whether rested or not, only every other shot has recoil. This is extremely uncomfortable and disorienting. For instance, full auto makes a weird bucking, inconsistent recoil and in semi auto every other shot doesn't move. -

Nice, but this AK pack needs only one tweak, the 5.45 guns are too weak against CSAT and AAF armors, it should at worst be no weaker than vanilla 5.56. Other than that I have no complaints. -

This is not simply a request for these features as that has been asked before. Just a suggestion of a VERY relevant time to finally add them, the Marksmen DLC. BI has a real opportunity to please it's fans big time with this. Since these features are key to sniping and precision marksmanship, I believe bipods, weapon resting, and wind ballistics should be officially added in this DLC (since they are features, they could be part of the free component). This will allow BI to give a strong addition in this DLC and please rabid, years-old demands of this game's hardcore milsim fans. To me this makes perfect sense. I would hope that BI also makes a higher quality resting system than what mods offer, perhaps accurately modeled bipod rotation of the gun, and the quick ability to shift and move bipods along cover like Red Orchestra 2's elegant system? Wind ballistics is also a no-brain-er addition, perhaps more than resting, just sync it to the wind speed and direction already used for particle physics. -
When you urban prone (While proning, stance adjust + right or left), why can't you aim down sights? This doesn't make sense, and since there is no leaning in prone, it would be nice to use this in lieu of leaning in prone but it is useless at medium to long range because you can't use sights.
